I had a fresh and delicious chicken burger and fries,the staff was friendly and our food came right on time.A beautiful place to see different birds and some animals. We sat outside and the view was just great.

Good place for the kids .had the most good outdoor experience there.and their good they serverd us was good for my kingdom.

So much more can be done with this stunning setting. I remember days gone by when it was a great restaurant. Covid probably also played a part. Sad ....

500gr ribs and chips @ 175 was not even 300gr. See photos. The footlong Russian and chips was half a Russian, you can see the cut line. The water bird fountain outside by the tables are broken, with algy water and dead bugs in causing ALOT of flies. Half the chips was raw. Even our waiter agreed the ribs are very small. Overall really not great.

What a fantastic place to spend the afternoon. The team behind the bar (where we had to order everything due to COVID) and the waiter working the back area were particularly good. Easy conversation and attentive service in an unrushed environment.Well done yall.

We travelled Route 62 and visited a number of wineries and of course did some wine tasting, had some food and bought their wines. Geelbek was the number1 for us, location, setup, way the tastings were thought out and presented fantastic and then the food options to go with the wines supurb. We spent a wonderful afternoon sitting in the garden tasting and eating.

A lovely stop. Do not expect high end coffee - macchiato was effectively a latte. Hot chocolate was thin, but pleasant enough. Milk tart was more like a cheesecake. Not even a dusting of cinnamon on top! Fast and friendly service, but not a fine dining experience.

The one and only place in the park for some refreshments. Enjoyed good coffee and some deserts (milk tart and carrot cake). Coffee only served in small cups though. Although they serve tea, no Almond milk option on offer.

The west coast national park was a pleasure to drive through. Flowers are all along the road making the drive a feast for the eyes. Stopping at heeled for lunch was a stroke of genius. We had the baked brie which was absolutely delicious and the banking burger was a delight. I would highly recommend the trip during flower season.

Great location and atmosphere. The outside dining area was uniquely decorated and clean. There were a lot of different birds in the area, sitting on low branches and tables which added to the calm atmosphere. We ordered the messy milkshake, it was an interesting combination of chocolate and popcorn! Never had one before, can say now it was delicious and will order it again! This restaurant is a great stop while touring the National Park.

We only purchased coffee and milkshakes. Both were good. Chocolate milkshake was the best. They were very busy when we visited so service was a bit slow. They have nice garden seating.

We dined in the gazebo in the garden overlooking the lagoon. It was a beautiful day. Low tide in the afternoon. Unimaginable abundance of bird life. Super-friendly staff and good food.

I was bitterly disappointed with everything at the restaurant. The food was take aways only, which is totally understandable at the moment. Firstly, they got the order wrong, but I decided to let that slide. Then the food was really not good, and shockingly overpriced.

The new takeaway system where you order inside and then take your food outside into the gardens works very well. Breakfast burger was delicious after our overnight hike.

Was very disappointed as the menu on Google is not the same as currently. Their grilled hake was very nice. Calamari and chips was like eating fish fingers and chips.

Food was ok but although we ate at the restaurant our food was served in a take away box...even the ice cream... Bar man friendly (thank you for that) ... Tables dirty and not getting cleaned or sanatized... Toilets in a bad shape... Wife complaints that the toilet door could not close properly... No one in restaurant area to clean or sanatize the tables.. Just a person shouting out your order number for you to fetch your food... At the front entranve door a complaint was laid but I do not know if this was taken serious or mentioned at management... do not think this place is up to standard for international standard for tourists.. Very disappointing... Did visited the place before a few years ago and it was highly recommended then, but this time I can not recommend it to any person.

Over-priced food, but great customer services & a breathtaking view

We absolutely enjoyed our visit to this historical farm house. The service was fast and the desserts delicious. The outdoor sitting area is lovely. Inside the hallway are photos of the previous owners. If you want to know more about the history of the place, consider going to the Ocean Lookout point when you drive to Langebaan, as the little building on top of the hill has photos of the Geelbek farmhouse as well with a long list of previous owners.There are two bird hides near the restaurant certainly worth visiting.

Very disappointing. We got there after seeing the flowers only to be told the the Geelbek kitchen was closed as the chef had not pitched up for work & the kitchen staff could not cope with the orders. We left....

Great views and friendly staff. The four of us enjoyed our meals, ostrich burger, chicken panini and veggie quiche. Lovely setting with colorful birds and view of the bay. If you have kids, there’s a good playground too.

What could be better than looking out over the beautiful bay ? Surrounded by West Coast flowers? Not the greatest restaurant but the seafood platter was generous and nicely cooked.Service was helpful and cheerful.

Ignore. Pretend it isn’t there. Poor quality badly prepared food all at inflated prices. Rundown and dirty restaurant- over run understaffed team, poorly managed by an indifferent manager. On the day I was there most customers were visibly unhappy. AVOID.

Overpriced, no non-alcoholic beers. The restaurant has become a take-away.

The prices are as breathtaking as the view. Very expensive for average food. We had a simple breakfast and the scrambled eggs were a sorry looking sight. The coffee was good though. Next time well pack a picnic lunch and might pop into the restaurant for coffee and watch the expression on the new visitors when they see the prices 😀

This is a favourite and tranquil stop for coffee after a day in the WCNP. Their food prices are however steep for locals to enjoy regularly

STAY AWAY!!!Would have given -5 stars.Waited 20 minutes to fetch our own menus. Then waited 15 minutes later to speak to a waiter to find out that the kitchen was not taking any more orders because the system was down and there was no backup system.Waiters were nowhere to be seen, manager was absent.

I am always a bit cautious when eating at a concession type restaurant, normally find them overpriced, food on average and staff unfriendly, Geelbek was a bit of a surprise, my food, the Snoek balls was very good I really enjoyed the dish, my partners food (Calamari) in contrast was tasteless and bland, The pricing was a bit steep, considering we did not drink alcohol the bill was R400, for 1 starter, a main course and 3 cooldrinks. The 3 stars is only because my dish was very good.

Nice peaceful venue with a lot of beautiful birds. Service was good. But, and there is always a but...Paying tourist prices for seafood that is far from fresh is not cool. Probably the toughest calamari Ive even eaten... (mussel starters where also touch and go) Didnt finish my meal for fear of the obvious. Id highly recommend checking with the chef directly on freshness. Have been there once before and chow didnt impress then either.Please bare in mind my experience was over C19 period so stock is obviously moving out slowly...Find out what is fresh😎

STAY AWAY. Hugely inflated prices e.g. Toasted sandwich R140. Expect to pay R200+ pp for a meal and something to drink (Breakfast and lunch only. No dinner service). Furnishing and decor very elementary. Facility is dirty, neglected and no maintenance. Being the only restaurant in the West Coast National Park, one would think that the new management would have used the opportunity improve. They did not, in fact it has gone from bad to worse. Not worth the while. If you visit Park, rather bring your own your own picnic basket to enjoy. HUGE TOURIST TRAP - STAY AWAY!!!!!

Exorbitant prices for very poor quality. Worst cheesecake ever and salad was a joke. Avoid. As a hotelier I was disgusted with the place.

Family Day lunch with friends.We took friends out for lunch today.Food was ok.Service a little slow, had to ask waitor a couple of times for things.A little run down. Really think there are great possibilities with this place.

My visit was for personal reasons, but the reception I got was great, staff are friendly and attentive, we had a really nice cuppacino, to warm us up on a rainy day. Old rustic feel but warm homely and inviting, and the views are amazing especially at sunset!
