I wanted to rate it four stars as the restaurant has completely changed from when I use to frequent it many years ago. I realised it would be unfair judging them against the more rustic environment that I have grown accustomed to. In its place, it is a modern restaurant with excellent food. The prices are reasonable and you will j thoroughly enjoy your meal there. The views of the lagoon is beautiful.

Wonderful service, quick attention, delicious food and a social vibe there- cocktails, sunset, good music! Would recommend going there. And OMG the seafood pasta!!! Yum

I was so happy with Pearlys restaurant. Our waitron, Alaine, was super friendly and welcoming, and provided our table with great service. The menu is quite diverse, catering to different pallets, including an absolutely delictable, flavoursome vegetarian burger. My group and myself cannot wait to come back and try more items from the menu. Truly a great restaurant with a great view of the lagoon.

Thanks to the chef who prepared my meal with a change from the regular menu. Great job and well done. The atmosphere for a dinner at sunset added to a great experience.

All our sirloin steak specials on the particular Saturday afternoon in March when we visited were a little sinewy, but I trust that is a supplier problem because the service and ambience of Pearly’s was excellent as usual and they actually specialise more in seafood.

The Seafood basket I had was very delicious and Mojito (virgin cocktail) was just perfect. My son had the Miss Piggy pizza which was also mouth-watering. Truly had a great experience, very friendly staff and clean and safe environment too. Will definitely pop in every time Im in the area.

Beautiful view and the upgrade to the restaurant is modern and light. What a pity that our service was lacking…. Order starters and on arrival no cutlery. My son’s burger patty was burned on the bottom side. We asked for condiments that arrived when the food was nearly finished. Our food took exceptionally long for the amount of tables allowed during the lockdown period. My meat was under done and cold, the vegan was steamed to perfection. My mom’s order was wrong and when she finally received her food we were all done with our meal. What a pity😟

Great service, right on the beach, lovely vibe and amazing food. Jalapeños poppers were so good I had two servings. Waitress and concierge were very good.

Wonderful to find a place that cooks calamari strips so well. Location on the lagoon is excellent. Service was also great.

This isnt meant as a poor review... I quite like this restaurant... the reason for the average stars is because thats just it... they have an extensive menu, possibly trying to cater for everyones taste... as a result they do a large variety of dishes... but without any differentiation or specialisation I could have had the same meal anywhere... its hard to recommend them for a fantastic fish dish (for example) or something of the sort... they are more than adequate to get a meal... but theres nothing to make it stand out in a crowd of restaurants

A fantastic restaurant with friendly staff and great food. They have a good veriaty of food, from pizza, burgers, to crazy seafood dishes. We had the sea food options and the dishes were very good. Service was quick and efficient too. There is plenty free parking right infront. The parking and venue are not wheelchair friendly. They have all covid protocols in place.

I make a trip down to Langebaan every year JUST to come to this restaurant. The seafood is DELICIOUS and well priced. Love this place so much, my friends and I traveled from CT for my birthday to celebrate at Pearlys. The service is great and the ambiance is fun and relaxing. Will keep coming back!!

A lovely spot right on the beach. Food was superb and service very friendly and very good. We had to wait for about 10minutes but it was a long weekend and Covid19 regulations also has an influence. I suggest you book to be sure. A lovely atmosphere I will definately go again.

Lovely restaurant on the beach. Serves excellent seafood. Best mussels I ever had . Will go there again when we return. Chef just has to allow half half chips and rice with the seafood platter. Cannot be that difficult!

Popped in for a virgin cocktail as was amazed at the renovations that has been done I have not been there for a good couple of years and it is fantastic, the decor and staff were very nice and the food I saw being served looks fabulous. Cant wait to go back.

We went there with a bunch of friends for lunch. My cheese burger was great and my husbands pizza was also good. Two of our friends ordered a chicken burger and it was burnt. Manager did take heir plates back and brought out new burgers but was very unfriendly. Other than that the food was good and the restaurant has a good vibe.

Perfect calamari, excellent service!

Oh my god! I still think about the piri piri prawns here, they were gigantic and delicious. First meal in South Africa and didnt disappoint. Get a table outside so you can watch the windsurfers which is what this place is known for. Really busy though so book ahead if there is a group of you. Photos of the prawns, catch of the day with chips,a large Greek salad and seafood platter. A real treat!

Pearlys is a casual restaurant right on the beach. Extensive menu and non-confrontational decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Quick service and really good food. Steaks exceptional to pastas filling and tasty. Prices, normal and not eye-wateringly expensive. Will definitely return.

The new re-designed interior really cleans up the place and it now really adds to the main beach dining scene. With Roxcis next door, the two spots really look the part of fun beach front dining. The service is really the high point of Pearlys, as the staff really attends to its guests and are quick, polite, helpful and friendly. The food is fine, and comes pretty quickly. I ordered the ribs, and if Im honest, they were a little over cooked, kinda dry and could have used a little more sauce. They also came very quickly for ribs and so Im pretty sure they were made earlier and simply reheated. The portion size is large and with some sides, 1 order of ribs could feed 2 people. I think the portion size is trying to justify the price tag,, but I would happily pay the same price for a smaller portion of higher quality.. They could have been cooked all day in a covered container at a low temp, kept warm and then thown on coals or in a hot oven with some sauce to give them some char and finish them off. Just my opinion, but I dont think Id order the ribs again. All in all, I would give Pearlys a shot if youre near the beach and want a fun friendly dining experience with sort of average food.

We had a lovely meal there recently. And we were allowed to bring our dog in if she behaved, which of course she did! We ordered steaks, cooked to perfection, with yummy fluffy chips. Really reasonable and good sized portions. Great service from our waiter, I think his name was Erik.

Seafood was tasty! Staff very nice! View was a stunner. Fast excellent service. Will definate go again and recommend to friends.

First time in langebaan anc pearlys was the place to be...Service was good, but then we needed too order our foodWe ordered blus snails and and black mussels, we had a first portion of mussels, it was off, put me off to have it, then I got it changed and definitely a differece in taste and texture, please do toast your bread and do not serve it fresh, it ruins the whole experience of the food and texture. Its a lazy move from a chefWe had chicken as well as sirloin steaks cooked to perfection, with cheese, mushrooms and garlic sauce and definitely didnt dispare. The food was amazing and definitely enjoyed every bite into the steak, and the bar isnt suppose to be missedThe service which was given to us by the waiter, was absolutely amazing and definitely take my hat off to him, thank youRecommendations from a sous chef, the snails, please do serve it with the same sauce you use for the mussels as there is way to much butter into itThe Traveling Chef

The white wine was nice, the lattè was good looking (Wimpy, please have a look), the steak was ok, but the sauce was the highlight of the evening. The steak had a glued together feeling and it didnt have much taste, but it was tender. To come back to the sauce, it was loaded with flavors and aromas (predominantly garlic and butter) and one could literally dip anything into it and it will be ten times better.

A must visit if you are in the area. It s a classic and iconic place in Langabaan. Always a nice experience with its amazing location and view of the bay. Food is good and tasty but expect sports bar type food not steak house or high end restaurant.Decor is dated and showing its age. Maybe time for a major facelift...
