Wow... This is a, come again and again and again restaurant... Not luxery but very homely. Friendly staff. The entertainment was the best. (the songs and jokes). The food was great and lots to choose from. Be sure that you come hungry when you visit. To avoid disappointed make a booking and make sure that they are open. You will not be disappointed...

The restaurant offers ample parking and has a pleasant and unpretentious rustic theme. It offers fantastic views of the lagoon and staff members are super friendly. Unfortunately the food was really, really poor. Not recommended

Had lunch at Boesmanland Plaaskombuis on Saturday and was really impressed with the cleanliness of the place, friendliness of the staff and the lovely, tasty food on offer. We appreciated that we could eat and relax at our leisure. Will definitely visit again. One suggestion: The name should be put on the beach-facing side as well. We were relaxing there after our meal when a group of beachgoers passed by and wondered what place it was. We told them and they then went in to make a booking.

Atmosphere warm and welcoming. Nice and relaxed. Although food is not what it used to be. Much smaller variety...Food is still very good though. Service was good.

Terrible. The only thing going for this place is the location. The food is appalling. We were a large party and everyone I spoke to felt the same. Food was overcooked, dry and over sweetened.

Had lunch there this Sunday. Did not have a great experience. I think the quality of their food has gone down quite significantly. Fish was overdone and all their warm dishes were rather cold.

Went there for the Christmas lunch. Brilliantly organised and an amazing variety if food. Fan5astic view of the ocean with its beachfront view. Good wines at an affordable price. Overall a very good experience.

Great food with a proper farm style. Makes me think of my Grandmas cooking. Nice touch with the guitar guy serenating us on our 1 year wedding anniversary. Would give 5 stars but our table was not prepared in advance as arranged with the booking. Staff is very friendly and helpfull.

We chose this once beautiful and awesome place that we experienced 10 yrs ago as our celebration dinner evening. What a catastrophe.. From the onset of entering.. Who shows you the bathrooms first when u enter a restaurant!! That should have been our cue to leave.. But coming down for the weekend and Langebaans amazing sunsets. Got us to stay.. Only to invite COVID even closer.. No social distancing at all.. I read the other reviews of few days past and its all true.Drunk people and the works.Whatever happened to RIGHT OF ADMISSION. I got a call from the owner after my concerns email was sent. He sounds like genuine man however an experience that leaves a sour taste from the onset takes away whatever memories i treasured for years. Will NOT GO BACK THERE..

The most incredible array of food. So typical of great South African style potjie cooking. You can eat until you roll out of there. The only down side is that when you see dessert being served you need to get in early because we didnt so didnt get any milk tert which we were really looking forward to. There is a man that plays and guitar and has the different tables join in and this created a great vibe. The restaurant is almost on the beach. It is only open at certain times so check this with the resort or locals.

10 out 10!!A 5 star rating does not do this place justice. They made our wedding day one the most memorable days EVER. The food was AMAZING, the staff made you feel like family and the service was excellent. The owner and wedding co-Ordinator went out of their way to accommodate us, the owner sat outside with myself and my wife to calm our nerves before we made our entrance and kept us informed about each step.Thank you soooo much for making us feel at home.

Was there 2 weeks ago and looked forward to it but was disappointed whencompared to what I experienced years ago. Variety is much smaller and dessert is not worth talking about. Tasteless milk tart, I didnt even bother to see what else there was. Will definitely not be going back there

You will be wise to AVOID at all costs. Covid trap and the tail wags the dog here. Feeding frenzy at the buffet with grabbing of shared utensils and food. Customers dictated how to conduct themselves with very little impact from staff attempts at restoring order. Staff tried but were hopelessly inefficient and management is sorely lacking. Ran out of items and some advertised as farm fare were store bought. Felt more like a buzzy chesanyama than a calm farm kitchen. Drinks ordered at table but had to be paid on the spot. No tabs. Did not enjoy a second of the meal and fled for fear of covid safety. Well that and a potential food fight among drunk patrons. AVOID.

I am giving the 1 star for the waitrons who assisted us. They were excellent. If the food is up to standard the price is also goodWe had dinner on Friday 20th November - Im not sure if that was just bad timing but the food was not good. Non of the dishes looked like it was freshly prepared. There was no smell of food that one would expect from a open area where you can see the kitchen etc.Im not going into detail of each dish. The snoek - small pieces of the tail part was in a dish it looks like it was boiled and not braaied or grill it was pure white. The milk tart was tasteless and not a hint of cinnamon, the koeksisters were dripping with syrup. After having small portions of certain items we gave up risking trying anything else. Nothing looked appetizing. We never felt good when we left. It was really disappointing as it was our 1st visit to the restaurant and we were looking forward to experiencing their food. Also the wine and ciders were warm. I was lucky that my cooldrink was cold

The food was ok, but nothing special. Staff are not all local anymore and the spirit of the west coast and Boesmanland Plaaskombuis is somewhat compromised.
