Wow what an awesome experience. Lovely food. Big variety to choose from. Was very impressed with the food, especially what they had to offer for the children. It was not just the plain boring fish finger or something like that. It was good fancy food. It is highly recommended. You will not be disappointed...

My wife and I are on a golfing week away from home and decided to have supper at The Guinea Fowl Restaurant. Excellent service and the best seafood platter in many years. Well done to the chef & Monica

Nice restaurant but the customer service still needs work and am not saying all the staffs..had a not so good experience when there while I was lodged at peaches and cream as they give you a voucher to have dinner there,first night was a disaster as my food was Tbone,chips and salad..the chips which I also ordered an extra was not cooked and the meat was half cooked..I ordered a take out as there were no place to sit cos of covid and restuarant not allowed full capacity..my point is I had to complain to to get a better food the next day and also had attitude from some of the staffs..there is room for improvement guys!!!

Totally shocking food quality especially when looking at the prices charged!Greasy food poor presentation and where does one see baked potatoes presented as 4 baby potatoes wrapped in tinfoil and then served with a watery sour cream???Sauce for crumbled mushrooms insipid, chicken Mexicana has more toothpicks then chicken.Am sorry to rant and rave but seriously this is what you give customers and dare to charge premium prices......

I was sceptical based on the mixed reviews. My B&B said that they would recommend it and regularly get food their guests from here. I had lovely meal, cooked as asked and was great value for money. All the staff were friendly and chatty and I am glad that I ate here. Convenient parking right outside.

This was a special place recommended by a Ladysmith local. Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful. We ordered an array of starters and our waitress understood instantly.

Drinks came in a chipped/cracked glass that was sticky underneath which led me to believe the drink was spilled and cracked at the same time, chicken mexicana was raw and unedible... wont be dining here again.

Nice setting, but the food was bland. E.g. i ordered a beef curry, but there were no hint of curry or the typical spice flavours we associate with good curries. It would have been better labeled as a beef stew.

What a surprise this was... Dont be put. Of by the decor... It. Might seem strange but trust me the food is worth it.. I had escargot drenched in cheese to start followed by an really good eisbein my coulege had 500g tbone whichi stole a piece of which was cooked perfectly.. Deserts were good and the food was delivered in a timely fashion.. The service was really good.. But feel that the waiter we had was no to nolagable on the menu and felt we never got good recommendation of him but simply agreeing to every thing we siad but this is my only complaint... It is well run and the staff really did do there best to make sure we were happy.

This place has potential. We unfortunately did not have the best experience. The aircons are not functioning properly and when the outside temp is 39deg you need Aircon. Basic items like fish and chicken were not available, although on the menu. Their veg option was butternut and spinach, but there was no butternut available. And their chip fryer had issues. We also waited an hour and half for our meals. Our waiter was very apologetic and tried his best to accommodate us. Not a wonderful experience at all.

Had dinner with my family last night. Food was of excellent quaility. Crumbed mushroom and sauce was scrumptious. My kids were a bit noisy but management were very accommodating. Other guests were not so accommodating..... Top experience. Kids had a blast

Generally a nice restaurant to go to. But with Covid the choice of foods is a bit small . The chef really did not do a good job. My calamari was over cooked

By far the best steak I have had at any restaurant ever. It was done perfectly as ordered. Their chicken schnitzel and fish and chips were also brilliant. Great fries and onion rings. And their take on seasonal veggies (butternut and spinach) to die for. Very reasonably priced. The place to eat in Ladysmith

I truly enjoyed my meal. My surf and turf was splendid, my gran ordered Pork Ribs which were succulent and delicious. Loved it😘

We were looking for something special to enjoy with our son from Pretoria. Although the food was acceptable, the portions were far to big and did not compare favourable with The restaurants in Pretoria. The service was fine.

Visit this restaurant if you like a good steak. I had one of the best pepper fillet steaks ever!! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I will definately go there again!!!

Overall an average experience. Went for supper on Valentines day with family, so it was a bit busy. Really hot, aircon wasnt working too well so extremely uncomfortable. Waited almost an hour for the food to arrive. We asked for the 1 starter to come with the main meals. It came first, then we were asked twice by 2 different people if they could send our mains. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and not used to being busy. Food was ok, though each of us left something as it wasnt that good eg. line fish was mushy, halloumi too salty. Drinks came warm, so we asked for ice, twice. Food was halfway done before the waitress eventually sent someone with ice. Place has potential, the owners were extremely warm, friendly and inviting. Will definitely go there again on a quite day.

I just didnt feel welcome and my waiter was slow ended up not having my order on stock after 20 minutes of waiting, had to leave and find another restaurant.

Not much choice in Ladysmith but the food in this place is pretty good and large portions. Had the beef fillet cordon blue... amazing! decor is a bit old fashion but staff are very friendly

Not a bad restaurant and probably the best in Ladysmith. Theres lots of meat options on the menu, but not a lot of vegetarian-friendly options. Steak tends to be slightly overcooked, but the portions are a good size. Try the black forest rump, its something different and quite yum.
