Youve got to be kidding me!!🤯Walking past the checkers Liquor we thought that it convenient to quickly pop in and get a bottle of novelty vodka for a friend... there was a special on and we thought why not go for that...After standing in a que for almost 8min in an empty shop at 08h15 because the cashier was struggling to process a simple airtime transaction, we were eventually helped and informed that we didnt qualify for the special because we didnt have a club card..They could have put it on the special sign!If you dont value your time, go shop at Checkers Liquor!🤢

Some of staff members at checkers are unprofessional. Yesterday 08/09/2021 just after 16:00 while paying at the till, 2 staff member came, in white plastic aprons busy making a noise around me talking to the lady who was helping me at the till. No social distance nothing but right in my ear and the cashier didnt discipline them, but busy entertaining them and making noise with them. If I want to go to a spaza I will do so, at a store like this, some extent of professionalism and customer care is expected.

Nice store but the cashiers are terrible. Cant smile let alone greet or thank you, miserable. And I am not the only one who experienced this as my friend also had the same issue. They forget that the customer is paying their salary

The shopping center is always neat and clean. Great place to shop.

The variety of products has decreased over time. But still a good place for your groceries.

Its a great place to go for all your daily necessities or just to hang out.. Only supermarket staff have little product knowledge and cant assist much apart from that a pleasure to go to and the trading hours make it convenient.

Always clean and safe. The food is fresh. No disappointments experienced thus far. It is very convenient for all household items.

I wanted to order a cup of coffee, but nobody was available to actually make it. The teller asked me to wait and I did for 10mins. Very inefficient staff. Better management of staff is required.

Staff is friendly and with the new Xtra savings card I get a lot more for less.

I am truly disappointed in the manner that 1 of yours employees treated me. I wanted cash back of R1900 so that I can buy grocery in the very same store, so I asked the cashier is she does have it then she said no, I then asked the very same cashier Id she does have R1000 then she still said no. Then came an Indian guy he asked for R1200 then they gave him. What kind of a treatment is this, mind due I was going to spend that money in that very same store. I am truly disappointed

This is a large store with a wide variety of quality products, a great layout and excellent potential when it was opened. Sadly, now, the poor customer service aids in a frustrating experience. It is not uncommon to be standing in a long queue backed into the isles on a busy day, as 70% of the available till points are unattended. Staff members sometimes seem very reluctant and unhappy to help. I would be happy to update this review if the customer service were to improve. Until then I can not recommend shopping here, especially if you are an impatient person.

There is a huge stack of ciders on pallets in front of the red wines in the liquor shop, cannot access the wine at all.

Very nicely laid out, live the new soft flooring, prices not bad and competitive to other grocery shopping centres

Wow, what can i say, since we have these savingscard, sorry to say this will be the shop where i will always shop. Checkers is the store where you pay less and get more. Good slogan for Checkers, keep it up, well done and thanks to Checkers.

The only fault I found was that the bread from different brands was old and not suppose to be the shelf

I like doing my shopping at checkers but there was a quiry that my partner had that was not attended made us unhappy

Not pleasant today. Queues at tills moved very slowly with very few cashiers on duty. Very frustrated by todays shopping experience.

Store is neat and great however the staff is not helpful at all. As a new store, it is not to find certain items and you have to ask members for assistance and are only told to go to a certain isle not accompanied!

The new Checkers is a nice modern new shop for Ladysmith. Only thing i can fault it at this stave is a lack of cashiers most of the time. 6 express tills with one cashier...... Cmon Checkers get it right. Otherwise a nice store.

Last cashier. Got there with my trolley, she first continued her private conversation with another colleguefor about 3 mins and then helped me. Honestly hate checkers service.. Prices are good with specials ect but will much rather use Pnp as there service is exceptional. Noting that this is the 2nd time this has happend.

Terrible what snop do not have their own brand of longlife milk in stock? Only 2 expensive brand names. Ladysmith manager must start to manage. I one before ordered 5 bags o bread dow from the manager and when I got their on the day that I ordered it for know one new about it. I the went to Spar and got it from their fridge

The new Checkers is a refreshing addition to our little town in Ladysmith KZN. There is a large variety of deli foods and meats. The veggies are wonderful. It is a really enjoyable place to go shopping and buy that extra special bread or pastry for a function. The only disappointment is that I feel the sho was opened a bit to early and enough time wasnt given for setting up the shop itself. The isles are not well packed. So it will go from food to toilitires to food to toys to food to homeware, etc. This can be quite frustrating when shopping. Overall, a wonderful shop.
