Went out for a birthday dinner. The buffet was horrible with very few food options to choose from. The chicken was raw and pink on the inside. The restaurant definitely needs an upgrade...its dark, dusty and dodgy. This was unexpected, as a few years ago the food was brilliant.

A home away from home. We were part of a large group of cyclists that took up the entire hotel. Everything just went off perfectly. They did an excellent job of looking after everyone.

The breakfast was not too great.

Visited for work. Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spacious and water was always hot. I didnt like that I was overlooking the main road as it was always noisy. Buffet breakfast and dinner was really good. The chef prepared special vegan meals for me for which I was extremely grateful. Staff are friendly and helpful. They washed my car while I stayed without asking which was a nice gesture but there were scratches on it after... I suspect the person washing my car did not use a clean chamois to dry the car.Overall, nice hotel for short stays.

Its an old hotel, deco needs serious updating. Their service is good and very friendly staff. And if you are parked there you get a free car wash 🚙. Will go there again anytime.

Consider installing aircons or at least a fan. A mosquito bothered me all night. Noise of people from outside. Otherwise the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great too

Opened since 1880, The Royal Hotel continues its legacy by offering incredibly friendly and great service. Rooms were clean and neat. Hotel exudes old style charm everywhere you go with antique furniture and embellishments. Rooms are set out differently from each other and features a two section room in which the bathroom and the main room are only separated by a wall, but no door.

Neat place but this old charm didnt work for me. It was so noisy and the kitchen only served fried eggs and when we asked for boiled egg. We were told sorry we only serve eggs fried.

The road coming here is horrible one need to drive carefull there is alot of potholes.The greatest expirience ever with the beautiful nature at the most reasonable price to enter for a day visit, they have accomodation and a camping site as well.By the entrance gate They provide the map or a guide to help you through the area I went hiking with friends the pathway which leads and made it easy for one to walk through without getting lost and bunch of trees hearing water run down with beautiful handmade bridges.As you continue further up there are multiple waterfull the water there is ice cold so cooling during a hot weather. there are People selling crafts and refreshments which is quite pricey, you can bring your own refreshments . You get to see baboons around and there is a nice dam loud music is not allowed.

Old but clean, historic and well located hotel. Food also great. Staff friendly and excellent.

Although staff was friendly. Linen doesnt look good and fresh especially the towels, couldnt use them. Not pleasant stay at all.

They initially booked us into a smoking room when we dont smoke! Then recieved poor service at the restaurant when getting drinks for dinner
