End up here very unexpectedly, and was one of my favorite Sundays out!!The owners and our waitress Fiona were so great to my mom and I, from beginning to end.My mom has a guide dog, so they put their own friendly dogs away and let my moms dog have the run of the property! Honestly since having our guide dog this was by far the best experience we have had at a restaurant.We both had pizza, which were under priced if anything, as they are cooked in a wood oven, perfect thin bases with the right amount of delicious toppings.Cant wait to come back again!!!

Fantastic food and service and excellent ambiance. The Sunday roast was absolutely amazing. Cant wait for the costume hire and period venue to open. What a special place for celebrating that extra special occasion. An absolutely must do experience. You will definitely agree 👍with this view. Just behave or you may end up in the stocks 🤔😉. Great pizzas and burgers. In winter it is cozy inside and in summer it is great to sit outside. Lovely family restaurant. Great coffees uswell.

During summer it must be lush and green. The evenings must be magical! Definitely coming back.

The atmosphere is incredible and really worth the trip. The food wasnt bad either but I think it couldve handled a little more love... Beef was amazing but the chicken was a tad dry, but the divine soup and vegetables made up for it!

Had a really great evening, the occasion was a wedding. The owners went out their way 6o make the afternoon and evening special. The food and entertainment was great. If you want to emerse yourself in days old this the place to go. This is not for young children jokes are of an adult nature and the evening ends late and party continues.

I Definitely recommend you try it out. I would just recommend that you go in a group, even if its a group of 2.The food is good and entertainment is funny.I would also recommend that you stay overnight as it will be late night when you are done.

Great experience. The staff and service was really good. The food was great. The show is really funny, interactive with lots of audience participation. The medieval theme is well executed and the staff never broke character, even after the show. Great for birthdays. We loved every minute of it!

Awesome medieval experience with nice food and music 🎶

A group of us have our birthdays close together in September and so we decided to treat ourselves and all go to Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom for dinner. And what fun did we have!?I personally love the whole Medieval thing; dressing up as Ladies, Lords and Knights, speaking old English, and so on. I love going to Medieval fairs as well, so this, for me, was really amazing. But even if you are not really into that sort of thing, I would still recommend coming here at least once! Its truly a unique experience.They have a costume area where you can rent your attire for the evening, which really adds to the feel of the whole thing (if you have something though you can wear your own), the food is served buffet style (depending on the option you booked for your group) and it was all delicious! The only thing was getting used not eating with a knife and fork. There is a bard that entertains you in the evening with songs and jokes, they also involve the audience in the fun. The staff is extremely helpful. Plus, you can order and buy a 1l beer mug to take home as a souvenir.The building, seating and decor are all set to typical medieval style, with paintings and suits of armour along the walls. The outside area is also beautiful. The location is quite remote so you truly feel like you have traveled back in time (except for the fact that youll likely have your phones for photos! :) ).It was truly an amazing experience.However, it is not a cheap excursion, depending on how much drinks you order, it can add up to quite a bit after paying for the food and costumes as well. It might be a bit more than your average buffets, but it truly is worth it for the experience.I reiterate, that I highly recommend that everyone tries it at least once! ^_^

Having been to Greensleeves now for several difference occasions I can easily give them 5 stars over and over againFirstly, the medieval feasts are mostly delicious but also very entertainingSecondly their dinners in the Deli (both pizzas and burgers) are mouth watering and unreal!Thirdly we spent the night in one of their rooms and I don’t think I have ever slept in a most cosy bed!And then the most amazing breakfast the next morningAndrew and Lauren are the most amazing hosts!

The staff are great, very friendly. The sunday roast is a must, although the specials also looked good.A good place for craft beer drinkers.Explore the castle and the grounds, there are plenty of little details. You can also set the kids free to discover things.Please throw the ball for the dog, she will ask so nicely. :-)

Always a pleasure. It is great fun dressing up. Actors forever staying in character gives the whole evening an authentic feel. Something out of the ordinary. Just wish you guys will expand to other parts of the country.

If you want to turn back the hands of time to the 15th Century when King Henry reigned, the so-calles medieval ages, then Greensleeves restaurant out of Johannesburg (Sterkfontein) is the best place to go!With a suitably stocked up costume hire shop on the premises, youll surely be dressed up for the occasion!

Greensleeves is a quaint, family run business. The pizza 🍕 is to die for. The Giant Salami pizza is a must but the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. It feels like home.

I would like to give a big shout out to Andrew and his team for always going above and beyond. The Mothers Day box was absolutely incredible, well thought out and such a lovely treat. Then look no further, Greensleeves has done an amazing job to keep you entertained, had such fun while there, food was great and there was so much, the drinks they serve are unlike what you would get at any other place and its an all round amazing place.

Nice place with great hosting and all round good vibes. The entertainment is great and the food is good, making the crowd part of the show is very fun and gives the place a good atmosphere. All and all a nice and cool looking place to feast with friends and family.

Was one of the best experiences I have had in years. Definitely would recommend it. Not really suitable for children.

Good day out though this not an experience that will be enjoyed by all. You are not given cutlery & are meant to behave as people did during the mideval times. The opportunity to dress up is fun if the entire group is willing to do so. Will be an entertaining night regardless.

I visited Greensleeves Medieval Restaurant back in 1988 - they are still going strong so they must be doing something very right - we had an American Field Service (AFS) student in our party and it was the time of their Presidential elections - The jester spoke to her about the elections in a way that made us all laugh like drains - the food was very good well-cooked and plentiful - An experience I would love to repeat any time!

The atmosphere is one of a kind! Everyone should experience this place at least once in their life. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. We went for lunch on a Sunday, but I dont know how easy it would be to find at night. The food was delicious, if a little light.

Got married here 20 years ago. People still talk about the wedding. Amazing venue!
