All I can say is I dont think Ill be going back to Billy G Silverstar again, not sure if Ill recommend it to anyone. Not a great place to have celebrations, they just dont go the extra mile to make it special, I should have rather celebrated at home :( they really need to up their standard. Shame ...even my daughter The birthday girl was a bit disappointed.

Poor service ,one waiter served 5 tables and we had to wait for our orders for too long while other waiters were just standing there and watching us and playing with phones...The food was okay, though we had to wait in a long queue to be served food and older people were not really a priority...but we understood that it due to covid regulations...

Price has gone up a bit but their buffet is still the best.

Came for a birthday lunch, really disappointed. The food tastes mass produced and I can cook better at home. The food variety leaves something to be desired. Not really catering for every taste. The wait staff was untrained and did not understand how to check a table for place settings. Did not clear the table, and basically wanted me to change my coffee order as their machine is broken and she would have to go next door to the coffee shop to get coffee. Then when I asked for brown sugar, I was again told that they only have white and would have to go next door again to fetch brown sugar. At least the coffee was good when it arrived at the end of our meal. The bathroom stank and the towel dispenser was broken or empty. If you feel like standing in long queues, being bumped and people standing on top of you, to get to empty food servers which you have to tell the staff is empty, on an already limited menu and no service at the table, and then pay R200 per adult upfront for the experience. Be my guest. But I know of 30 better places in the area to have our next lunch at. I will have to do a redo on that birthday lunch.

The food is good. The atmosphere is alright. Due to high reservations the queue at the buffet can be long. The choice of food is okay, not sure if it was the menu for Sunday but it was a bit regular. Not fine dining. But the place is great for hosting events such as parties, lunches, dinners because they cater for different people.

Worst food i have ever had. The food was old and cold and there was no variety. You quefor atleast 20 minutes before you can dish up and once inside everyone bundles as if Covid does not exist.

Buffet @R199 pp. Not the best food in the world but you can eat it. Variety toned down as compared to 5years ago when I was last there. Its probably due to economic conditions, but good value for money overall. If its your birthday then you dont pay, but you have to be with someone who is paying for themselves.

You really cant duff up a carvery experience but it is possible....I read the reviews and all mentioned bad service and it is!!! I asked our server how did the restaurant get its name and she rolled her eyes back and didnt know and suggested we ask her manager.Carvery food is carvery food so I would suggest improving the service so you wont be so quite on a weeknight!

The staff the atmosphere excellent salads super deserts cool. Was hugely dissatisfied with the meat chicken and braaiwors tested oldish. Did have a chat with one of your staff who argued with my point that your meat was juicy maybe I dont understand the meaning of juicy. Wont be coming back soon

We ordered our drinks at 21:00 when we set down for our meal the first waitress never came back and we ordered from another one she also disappeared till we had our dessert and even left the restaurant 21:47. The place is wonderful and so is the surrounding. I feel the Buffet still lacks variety though. A bit more variety and creativity on the menu is probably just what it needs.

The food keeps failing yet again, today even sushi failed they put green peppers in a rice piled sushi, the ribs we such a blend stew and the pasta! At least the veggies and dessert tried to save my day. I’m not sure I’ll be coming back.

We came there on 13/10/2019 to celebrate my moms birthday . I got excited when I was told by the lady working with bookings told us that a person celebrating a birthday eats for free but we must complete a form to get a card.a nice gentleman directed me to the help desk and my mom remained behind with the kids .I helped filling in the form and handed it to the most unhelpful lady named THUMEKA .firstly ,she didnt bother to tell me that she needs my mom to be around to create a pin for her card because while she was busy capturing , I could have quickly ran to call her ,instead she left me standing there till she could finish capturing.secondly , she treated us like we know your processes , she was acting as if she wanted to get rid of us ..I regret ever coming to Billy G .I ended up asking if it possible to just leave everything , we will pay . I suggest that you train your staff to at least explain the process , even if they do not give a smile (I can live with that)..THUMEKA made me regret ever coming to Billy G..

When calling to make a booking you have to wait for a long time to get assistance. The taste of the food could improve, it wasnt the best. There is no variety in the food served, it takes too long for them to replace empty trays with food. The place seems understaffed, table service was not the best as one had to ask for cutlery since it hadnt been placed on the table.

Must go to place when you are lost for choice on what to eat lunch or dinner, they will have you covered.

Very average food. I cook better food at home. Food reminds me of hostel food. Not classy at all. Not upmarket as advertised. Empty food trays dont get relaced quickly or at all. Some people buy 2L coldrinks and keep the bottle on the table, how common! No thanks, they wont see me again.

The eating area is large and comprises of 3 avenues, one inside ground, another one one top and another outside. My family had a terrible experience at Billy G restaurant, Silver Star Casino. The selection of dishes offered did not cater for all markets. There were no lamb dishes on offer. The seafood paella was over cooked to the extent that the seafood mix used was similar to rubber. The roast beef and pork looked dehydrated as it was shriveled and extremely dry. The stir fry that we selected for preparation was horrible with the chicken being uncooked and inedible. Dishes that were finished were not replenished. We definitely did not get value for R185. The staff were not friendly and very unhelpful. Would definitely not be returning or would I recommend that anyone else support this establishment.

The food was horrible, the service was very bad we almost left without paying for our drinks. It was too full and did not look nice at all. Some of the food was not covered and there was a big fly arnd the salad bar. It actually deserves a 0 rating. There is no control of kids around the food. It would have bee better if there was waiters next to the food for hygiene purposes. Dont even have me go at the custard where everyone was putting in their arms inside that custard drum looking thing.

Too expensive. Some food is good some not so much. Went there on a monday and the variety wasnt so great. Would definitely recommend it came down to R150 per person.

Its not for everybody.... have a open mind and a greatfull heart.... what made it nice for me was every staff member had a smile not a single sour face there.

Billy G is a good restaurant with friendly and attentive employees. Ayanda our waitress was super friendly, bubbly and just plain fun. The food is normal food (we had the buffet - nothing TOO special but still very tasty). Cocktails are YUM ;)

Not that good.. customer service is slow. They seem to get overwhelmed with arrivals without allocating an assistant to push the line. Then the waiters and waitresses are passengers at their own work place. The food is very average. Find Rosettas bistro at Emporers palace.

Terrible service. When we got there the place was dirty. The table that we were given was upstairs and it was dirty. Next to us there was a pile of rubbish. There is no variety in terms of food. The waiter made a mistake with our order of drinks and we had to wait forever to get straws for our drinks. The food was also very bland. The place is not classy, l will not be going there anymore, will not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of time

I have never experienced such a terrible family experience at this restaurant. From the moment we stepped in we received hostile treatment from the waitresses and really terrible service. They continued to talk about us behind our backs and really made us feel out of place for being there. Had to call the manager to assist us in getting service. For years weve been customers of Billy G at Monte Casino and for the first time wanted to experience the Silverstar one, but I must say that although it may be the same franchise but it definitely doesnt offer the same experience.

Its very beautiful and a great place. And the atmosphere is very nice and I like the taste of the food and beverages.

Its not too bad but having two waiters serving so many people was not good. We had to wait long due to that and that bad service however there is room for improvement. The food was delicious and thank you.

My fiance and I went to Billy Gs on the 6th of September for our Date Night Out For Two and we experienced something that we never thought we would. The service was excellent, the food was to die for, the atmosphere was relaxed. I dont know why a lot of people complain that there is not a big selection of food, but then again before you make that comment think about all the people that would love to go and eat there but dont have the money. There was more than enough food to choose from and it was all worth it. We would recommend Billy Gs to all our friends and would go back there again
