Best place for pizza 🍕 in Knysna.Very cozy restaurant definitely worth to sit in then get take aways as we normally did. Italian football and memorabilia about Italy as a décor which I love as who does not love football!I like how its still family ran restaurant, everyone on duty is always pleasant no matter if your there for a take away or sit in.I will keeping coming back while staying in Knysna, definitely worth a stop for lunch or dinner if your passing through or stoping over.The pasta 🍝 is also another winner ! Think next time I have to order both 🍕 🍝

Excellent Pizza.great service and one of the best pizzas I have had..Just a pity we were the only diners there though it was on a Tuesday before lunch.Thoroughly enjoyable Persello pizza.Wish them well over the summer season and I definitely will return..The Alfa Romeo flag was worth the visit alone but I couldnt twist the owners(I presume),arm to sell it to me.Definitely will be returning soon.

Amazing food I am a chef myself, but I couldnt do it better myself, home made pastas, pizzas, gnocchi.The aurbgine lasagne some of the best Ive had,The table come filled with parmesan, chillies, garlic.Will definitely be back.

I enjoyed my time at Persello very much. They had good food, waitress was very friendly and helpful. They have a wide selection of desserts. Very interesting decor inside the restaurant. Food was served quite quickly.

We always drive past Knysna, but this time stayed in Knysna for the weekend. We saw this beautiful Italian restaurant and got 2 large pizzas as a takeaway. Wow wow guys, first of all I want to say is it was nice waiting for my pizzas because the wonderful Italian music you were playing and to top it all off the pizzas was the best. I didnt sit in the restaurant but when I had the pizza at home it felt like Italy. Thanks guys for making it so special and next time we will sit indoors for supper. I highly recommend this beautiful little Italian restaurant to anyone. 👌👍

Such a sweet, lovely pizzeria. Super friendly and efficient service. No play area for kids but very kid friendly. Well definitely be back when we visit Knysna again.

I ordered 3 pizzas last night. The Puttanesca and the Rock n Roll were great, no complaints. The Regina was eaten by the kids so I can’t speak for that but they enjoyed it.We had it delivered and it arrived quickly and quite warm.Really enjoyed the service, highly recommend to anyone coming through and/or looking for supper.

I was utterly shocked at the lack of flavor in their pasta dishes, 100% would honestly never recommend. The ravioli tasted to me as though it was previously frozen and thrown in the microwave before serving. I cannot believe I spent my daily carb quota on this place. The one star is for the kind lady I spoke to upon ordering for delivery, she was nice.

Went to give my support to this family business during the lockdown and found the pizza was average for a italian place and the grilled chicken I ordered was was totally off as I live out of town it wouldnt have been worth returning to complain at the cost of the petrol.. so I complain here in hope that the chef does not take chances with off meats cause food poisoning is not good.

An original. It easy to pretend you are in Italy. A great family run restaurant which provides a menu that has clearly been tried and tested.Its difficult to find fault with the fare provided.

Not a good experience at all. Ordered a pizza to take away. Sat waiting for close on 30 minutes. Many people who arrived after us received their orders and left or started eating. I went to the oven. There was nobody there and no pizza in the oven. When the person in charge came to talk to me he gave me the story that my pizza had been done but that he did not like the smell of it and decided to make another one! I waited another 15 minutes and finally got my pizza. AND IT WAS NOT WORTH WAITING FOR! Perhaps the worst seafood pizza I have ever eaten. And they were not busy - perhaps there is a good reason.

Best pizza Ive ever eaten, and Ive eaten at many different pizzerias but this one takes the cake. Was a bit of a wait but it was busy so cant blame them for it. Totally worth it for the price. I actually ate a whole pizza.

Our kids had a pizza that was really tasty, but extremely thin so they had to eat it with a knife and fork. We ordered pasta which arrived only after an hour and the pasta was very undercooked and tasteless. The food was really disappointing! The hostess was very apologetic but we wont visit again.

Im from California but have visited my family in Knysna almost yearly since I was born. Mamas is always my absolute favorite restaurant to eat out in Knysna. The food is divine and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owner is close with my family and takes such good care of us when we eat there. Mama Persellas will always have a special place in my heart!

Great pizza as always

If I could give a zero I seriously would. Appauling, tasteless and worst Italian food Ive ever eaten. We ordered their so-called house specialties, which was the raviolli and chicken in sherry and mushroom sauce. It tasted like frozen, stale left-overs, they slopped tomato puree over the pasta and veggies must have been from the year before thats how old it tasted. The food made me ill and I would never recommend this place, even to my worst enemy. Fix your horrible food!!!!!

Worst pasta experience ever and chicken was off. Coffee was just like having weak diluted water, if you like your cappuccino then dont order it here. The service is good but their food leaves nothing to write home about. Maybe just remove pasta from the menu and focus on pizza

Idana is the mama of the place and leading the activities with Marco and Franco ( her kids ..) operating .Simon’s service was very professional and warm .Ingredients are top notch and preparation is authentic Italian . Home made pasta gnocchi and ravioli .. with great tomato sauce topping . Delicious . Definitely a must visit .

One of the best italian restaurants in Knysna. I ordered a salami pizza with extra Avocado topping. The prices are extremely fair and the atmosphere was classic italian. Also for take away. Will come again :)Ps. You can buy there homemade pasta and chilli sauce!
