Didnt have the best experience at this restaurant. The service was bad. The waiter wasnt friendly and rude and the food took way too long to arrive. The biryani was dry and flavorless. Ordered two types of chicken curries and two types of lamb curries but they all tasted exactly the same. but didnt taste bad just tastes like a good sweet sauce and nothing like Indian food. Stay away from the dhal and the rotti. The dhal is a watery mess and the roti is a thin tortilla thats not even warmed.

Went to Delhi Darbar with my family and ordered lots of food. He told us at first that we had to wait for 40-60 min for the food so we waited.Honestly we ordered more than 8 different curries and dishes but they all tasted the same. The lamb rogan josh and madras lamb both tasted the same and not a good quality lamb, taste more like ground meat from how much they cooked it. All the chicken curries were not that great and felt sweet like they added a lot of sugar to it. Didnt really taste like Indian food.All the portions were very small and cant be shared from how small it is. Price was expensive for not very much food nor quality. But the worse of all is the service, the waiter had bad attitude, ignored some of our questions, got in an argument with us, and over all very bad service.Would not recommend to anyone and would not try again.

We had dinner at Delhi Darbar last night. Warm welcome by the owner and great recommendations.To be honest, the Onion Bajee were the best we ever had and we also loved Chicken Tikka as starter.As main course we had Chicken Bhuna and Makhani Chicken, both perfect.Had a nice chat with the owner and he constantly asked if we like everything. A very good dinner and highly recommended.One remark, only beer is sold, if you like wine, bring your own bottle.

Food is delicious. Got to give them that. But the service is appalling. Our waiter (a man from Mumbai) seemed to be very distracted by his phone throughout our meal. Never even offered us a glass of water! And little gestures like a smile can go a long way too. Hope management sees this message and improve.

This was my first time at Delhi Darbar. The seating area might not have the right ambiance but the food was amazing. And by amazing, I mean that I couldnt fault the food. Ive tasted many Indian dishes but this was something else.I ordered the butter chicken, Tikka chicken and lamb Briyani. I wish I had more time in knysna to try out more of his dishes.Give them a try, you will not leave disappointed.

Delicious Indian food at a reasonable price (but it is cash only). The channa masala, butter paneer, and chilly garlic roti were amazing and tasted like homemade Indian food. Not the best location, but there is an ATM across the street if you need cash.

Best chicken tikka masala I ever had. Definitely order that meal! The owner went out of his way to make sure that I get my plain masala tea. Cash is only accepted so be ready. I like that the food is made from scratch and you can taste the authentic indian spices.

Just had the most lovely Indian food in an unassuming restaurant tucked away on K ysnas Main rd..no 19 to be exact!So Lamb Rogan Josh to die for ..lovely Dal and the Paneer starter was sublime..Great place and such a fabulous hands on owner..dont miss this spot its great!!

Best curry in Knysna by far! All food prepared freshly so good idea to order 1 hour before you go, onion bhajis and tandoori chicken tikka was delicious. They are working on ambience but if you fancy a great curry and dont mind the basic environment this is the place.
