This is my place to go if I want decent coffee and decent lunch at an affordable cost! , The weekly specials are always nice.The food is always good here and the staff are always friendly and never got my order wrong. Ive been there many many times Ive lost count, hence why the pictures are different foods.Location is ideal and will keep coming back.

We ordered some toasted sandwiches but they were overpriced and uneventful with no sides. The milkshakes and coffees are good. I suppose the high prices are a consequence of many franchises taking over the area and we do try support the locals. This place is not bad, but not particularly good either.

In this day and age where businesses should go above and beyond their normal level of service due to COVID-19 and its impact on said businesses - this place is a disgrace. The customer service is non-existent, the waitresses are more interested in their cell phones than customers. The level of arrogance is astounding. The place has absolutely no ambiance. The decor is uninspired and looks like something from the late 80’s without being on purpose or ironic. This restaurant is several levels below a run of the mill Wimpy serving oily, undercooked food at steep prices. The manager is seated at the back of the restaurant taking up a table covered in a mess of paperwork and watches passively as staff members pathetically drone through the motions of serving customers in a dull and stultifying manner. During our visit the shop was so hot one could hardly breathe. When querying the waitress as to why the air conditioner wasn’t switched on she pointed to an extractor fan in the kitchen claiming that is enough airflow needed in the shop. Avoid.

The pancakes were delicious. My daughter had the choc, banana and almond pancakes and I had the caramel banana pancakes.

Enjoyable

La Opera is in the Knysna Mall. Very comfortable seating and pleasant atmosphere. Generous portions of tasty cakes are available or select a dish from the menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The pancakes are the best in town and well worth a taste. La Opera is wheelchair friendly and the restaurant makes use of the restrooms in the Mall. I can highly recommend La Opera for a good selection on the menu, friendly service and good location.

Terrible service experienced today. Firstly, my girlfriend ordered an eggs Benedict and the waitress did not ask how she would like her eggs. We however had said that she would like the eggs to be hard. Thus, when her food arrived to our disappointment it wasnt what we asked for. Agreed this was an error, we had to wait an extra 45mins further to receive the food. At this stage it was too late, as we were already running late for our appointment. The nonchalant attitude from the waitress was off-putting to say the least.

Absolutely poor service. Wait is long for just coffe and then you dont get milk. Bit when the long wait is over the coffee is alright. The food comes faster than coffee

I had a wonderful jalapeno burger with Apple,Orange and Carrot fresh mix. The service was excellent.
