This museum exhibit a lot of important information, the way the exhibition is curated is thought through and it makes sense. I think the inclusion of scan the qr code to get information about each exhibit is stunning. It was also great to have a guide, Prof Morris to inform us about the different exhibits.

This is a wonderful Museum Rich in history , it has a very dedicated Curator and staff who are willing to help in any way. The quality of all of the exhibits are very good amd very well laid out. The place is much bigger once you are inside and if you are a history and war enthusiast you could easily be there for the better part of the day. The rates are very reasonable and they have an extremely old, beautiful and rare book collection which I spent some time just admiring .I will definately come here again .

The website (and map you receive when entering) displays closing time is 17:00. We were told by the ticket sales lady they are closing 15:30. We still paid full price and had 40 min to walk around.Children were running around, jumping of stairs, screaming etc etc.Staff could not care less. What a waste.

What a treasure. The museum building itself is so imposing and a testimony to the wealth of Rhodes and the mineral mining industry. It houses an incredible collection of life in and around Kimberley as well as outstanding exhibits of many aspects of SA history. It is quite unique in its coverage of Kimberley people and events. Dont miss it!

The museum would have been a nice addition for our kids to our visit through Kimberley. History is important but the lack of card facilities was a bit to historic for me. Add to that rude employees with bad attitudes failing to adhere to the advertised closing times had us turning at the door.
