Good vegan menu. Not the biggest range but good quality and tastes great. No access unfortunately to the toilets for people in wheelchairs. Nice and cozy with friendly staff and some nice vegan treats for sale. Coffee was really good! Consider that parking is on quite a busy road.

All of their meals contain no animal products and have a gluten free option for each.The vegan Pizza is something interesting and worth a try.Delicious smoothies, all made from fresh fruits.

I truly enjoyed the Hot chocolate.Every sip creates a new layer of chocolate that solidifies on the top. Decadent.Atmosphere is clear and pleasant, a vegans delight!

Good variety of options on the menu, will be back again

This must be the best vegan place in town. It has a wide ranging menu, including some specialities, and interesting drinks. You can also purchase select health goods in-store. The menu items are a little pricy, but worth it if you dont go every day. They did not have my favourite dish on 2 February, which is the pie and comes highly-recommended by me. They also did not have some sides, and took a little long with our meal, with some items brought to the table after the dishes were served. But this is my first experience of this.

The food is yum. The service is FLIPPIN slow. (And also not really that good. They cant tell that youve been waiting for 45mins) Seriously slow. So slow. Get a smoothie to chill yourself out because youll be waiting eons. But again, the food is yumz

Great restaurant/cafe. Interior is fresh and airy. Service is good and friendly. I was surprised by how large the menu is and the food is truly superb. I do however have to say that it would be great if alcohol is allowed. Can’t imagine anything better than having a long lazy lunch, eating vegan and drinking bubbly.

The food was very lekker. We got the Mexican pizza, tofu bacon and caper pizza, Victorino and tofu bacon and cheese burger. The wait was long but worth it. If its crowded, expect to wait at least half an hour for your food. Highly recommended for plant powered athletes like me.

Had the Tai Chi Bowl, It was unique and rather tasty.. Staff is a bit unfriendly, and not helpful, they just want to force you to order something by asking you constantly have you decided... It can be a very confusing experience if you visiting for the first time, and isnt familiar with vegan food... Googling what the ingredients in the dish are, is easier than asking the staff...+amazing place, great food, cozy environment.-nasty staff

Best vegan cake I have ever tasted. Ordered a strawberry 3 layered cake. Stunning, delicious sponge that is so unique and fluffy and amazing; topped with fantastic icing, strawberries and chocolate drizzle. My one year old and non vegan guests loved it! Thank you!

Im not even a vegan and I thoroughly enjoyed my vegan pizza, and vegan dessert. They arent shy on their pizza toppings at all, really good value for money. Ive been to one or two vegan restaurants and this is by far the best one Ive been to in my personal opinion, but Im by no means a subject matter expert, but can say that if youre a vegan and you have someone else with you who isnt, this place is an awesome compromise, because the food is great for non vegans too.

Delicious vegan food, highly recommend this spot. My favourite vegan restaurant in Johannesburg, and Greenside. Their thick french style hot chocolate with vegan cream is a delight. Their raw wraps are exceptional, and their pizzas are great. Cant really go wrong here. Large portions, fresh food. Inside and outside seating.

Absolutely divine berry lemonade drink and wrap was amazing. Great combo. Very full. Perhaps needs a little less inside so can stay as a wrap. All my content fell out!

The milkshakes were superb, and it was incredible to think that they were vegan. The pizza was good, despite the bases being very thin, and the vegan cheese being cold and not necessarily on par with Colcacchios vegan cheese. I wish I couldve tried everything on the menu - the meals being carried out looked really great. The service does need a bit of work - we were initially left unattended for about 15min (its a small café).

This place is a gem for vegans looking for both taste & health. The menu is well thought out, all the drinks & food are high in nutrition. The service however is very slow. We had to get a doggy bag due to their very generous portions.We waited over 20 minutes to get our bill.

This is still one of my favourite vegan places to eat. And, I am so glad that they are open on Friday and Saturday nights. Good food, great value and excellent service.

For years, this has been one of the best places in Joburg to go for really (really!) tasty vegan food, created by a passionate chef. Its a small informal cafe, with some seating outdoors. A special treat is the Algerian Pasta - chewy tofu ribbons (option) with spicy harissa sauce, cherry tomatoes and organic tofu (option) sausage - which is totally drool-worthy, and comes as a large portion in a bowl (which could only possibly be better if there was a little less of the pasta, and something else to go with it to vary the flavour and texture, but nonetheless its truly fantastic).

Burger was very dry and tasteless with a weird tomato paste on it. Overpriced for what you get. Owner also seems to have an attitude looking at the response to lower ratings, not a good way to respond to unhappy clients

Many diverse vegan options on the menu. All options a bit pricey. Had a Buddha plate. My partner had pesto pasta. Both meals were ordinary, and lacked flavour and creativity. The service was friendly but slow. Vegan propaganda on the menu, the walls, and the bill cover. The restaurant lacks ambience. The chairs and tables are uncomfortable, and the front entrance door is jammed and needs to be repaired. Glad that theres a restaurant dedicated to serving vegan food. Disappointed by the poor quality of food and service.

Its a religious experience. If you are just on a vegan diet and not into eastern religions then the Buddha statues front and centre may be a bit excessive.The food was alright. My kids loved it. A little bit pricey to make it a regular past time.

One of my favourite vegan restaurants in Joburg! The menu is insane, there are so many mouthwatering options to choose from, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat.I decided on the Mexican pizza and it was SO delicious! Their vegan cheese is simply to die for.

Excellent cakes are the highlight. But the food is not far behind with good quality fresh dishes on offer. Good service also the norm.

Food was good, not a value option to be honest, and service (food delivery not the waiters which were fine) can be considered slow but they would say its due to them preparing the food fresh. However overall a good restaurant. I ordered the bacon and cheese pizza.

I had one of the tastiest meals Ive ever had in my life here. Choosing an item from the menu was so difficult though. Wish I could stay for a week in Greenside so I can try one of the other options every day.

Best pizzas I have ever experienced. I recommend going to Greenside Cafe for their pizzas, milkshakes, smoothies and all the food is great. Service can be impersonal, lacking in product knowledge and feel unattended when the owner isnt there but usually it is a friendly and well frequented hang out for those interested in a meat free meal.

The Mexican Pizza and their Chocolate cake were on point

Im not even vegetarian (let alone vegan), but this place has some very good food. The jalapeño burger is excellent. Rather expensive though.

Its seems as if people usually land up here to accommodate a vegetarian and as a person who doesnt eat much greens, I actually enjoyed my healthy food an strange healthy drink. Had a great time with the family. Wouldnt say that I would purposefully go back again but I wouldnt mind it.

Food was fantastic! We ordered the beyond burger with cheese and bacon (all vegan) was a bit expensive but worth it! Tastes just like meat. Also had choclate cake, matcha latte and a mexicana pizza. All super delicious. Totally different from any other vegan restaurant I have been to. Chocolate cake is a MUST!

While everything on the menu is spectacular, the maple cheesecake is particularly amazing. Dimitri and the team never cease to impress!

A favourite restaurant of mine and my partner (who never thought hed enjoy vegan food). They cater for all kinds of food restrictions but still manage to make everything very tasty and appealing to those that eat a normal diet. I think its literally the only place I can eat out, enjoy the meal and not feel any bad effects from my myriad of food intolerances. Environment and staff are great too.

I thought I would give this spot a try instead of going to my regular spot around the corner. I walked in, had to walk up to the waiting staff to ask if I could take a seat. I wasnt ready the first time the waitress asked to take my order but asked her for a glass of water and 5min. About 15 min later, no one came to take my order and I walked out. About 3 staff members walked past me during the time I was waiting to place my order.I suppose I could have signalled for assistance, but when you put your menu down and stare ahead waiting to get someones attention, you would expect someone to assist...especially when the majority of your staff are standing chatting to each other at the payment station. There were maybe 4 other tables, so it was also not busy at all.

Good food, good prices. Long wait times but worth it

Having heard so much about this cafe I was really looking forward to a spread of choice from their full vegan menu. Service was extremely slow, something I was told would take 15 mins took 30 mins, making me late. The most disappointing thing was the pizza itself. It was a medium size, 6 piece pizza, not the standard large 8 piece. The veggies were great, but there was no cheese on the pizza, no vegan cheese, even though its so widely available these days. For the cost of the pizza it was utterly disappointing. Rather pay the same price for a vegan pizza WITH CHEEZE & LARGER at Col-Cacchio or Lupa.
