I have not had such a crispy base with generous toppings in a long time. Excellent value for money. The salad dressing has changed slightly.

Ottimo. What a strange experience. Went there for lunch yesterday because of the motor racing decor. Wanted to grab a pizza and watch the start of the Le Mans 24 hour. Manager was not keen on the idea, stating that it was a family restaurant. Kept the TV tuned to some music MTV like station.And the poor waiter was too apologetic about everything. I eventually asked him not start every sentence with Unfortunately...Such a pity, because the pizzas were more than decent.

Small and intimate, with a decor that appeals to my interest in motorbike racing, I really like the local vibe of the place. The food was superb and both times I have eaten there, the pizzas were covered to the edges with ingredients. I look forward to trying their pasta next time I go there.

Just recently moved into the area. Ottimo has become our favourite pizza joint! The pizzas do not disappoint! You want good pizza? Look no further!

I have always loved Otttimo. 20+ years ago whe we stayed in Kenzington it was our regular Friday night restaurant of choice and midweek when the urge was there. I went there again last night as I was in the area and great to see Marco in his usual spot behind the counter making the best pizzas. Service was fast friendly and professional. Covid practices adhered to.

I have been to Ottimos several times. The pizzas are fantastic! The staff are welcoming and theyll recognize you when youve the a few times. However, you can make better sangria at home.

I loved my experience at Ottimos! Honestly the best Italian Restaurant Ive been to in Joburg. Their pasta and pizzas are cooked perfectly with no doughy textures as what you would normally find in most restaurants.

Pizza not bad, not great, base could be more crisp, had a bacon and avocado pizza, my girlfriend ordered a vegetarian, (her words) that’s average. So now the reason I am giving a one star rating is simply that we also ordered another vegetable pizza minus the cheese, for a vegan friend. We asked for a second pizza for a vegan and the waiter literally cut us off mid sentence “We DoNt Do VeGaN pIZzA!!”Last time we go to such a close minded restaurant, with such rude staff for more info contact me, happy to chat.

The most delicious pizza I have yet to find. Ottimo is a cosy restaurant, where you will find amazing, authentic pizza that they make in their wood fired oven. Great for families/small groups but due to their small size you may want to make a booking ahead of time. Finding parking can be a mission. If you feel like eating your pizza at home you can call them and order a take away or find them on your favorite delivery app.

My family, friends and I have been going there for years. Absolutely delicious food and friendly service. The food is always on point. If youre looking for a good plate of pasta or pizza, then youre at the right place. They even serve a gluten free option which is great as not many places do.

Gourmet pizza at very reasonable prices. Ottimo have delicious pizzas with a homemade taste that is unmatched. For me Ottimo have the Best pizzas in town! Ottimo also do take aways, not sure about delivery though.

We have been going to Ottimos for years now. Never disappoint and the food is really good. There is something beautiful about an established restaurant that has been around for so long, and has never waived on their service and quality. The food never takes long, and I highly recommend a meal here.

Best real wood fire pizzas in town pastas are great two. Big portions at good prices. Love the vibe here always very busy but service stays good. Only complaint will be getting parking can be a mission so come early. Great Motorsports theme with load to look at. For groups or big family I will suggest making a booking. Also offers takeaway.

They make really good pizzas with a great base, in their wood-burning oven. My friend says their other dishes are excellent. They have their own generator, which is now really important in our country.However, youre not allowed to swop ingredients on your pizza - even if they cost the same. (Theyll remove the unwanted ingredient but charge you for the replacement.)This includes garlic and chilli, which arent set out on the table to add at your own discretion.The staff are... pretty meh.

With all the great pizza and pasta comments down here, mine review may sound a bit different...we had vegetarian pizza...and i feel someone like Debonairs or Romans would have much better pizza...and they are not even Italian pizza chain...Ottimo claiming to be Italian, the pizza was way too ordinary..with toppings of capsicum, onion and few..very few olives...and very very little cheese...well i didnt have the courage to go any further and ended up with just a pizza. Price in the category of 90 for a ordinary pizza is certainly not recommended

Lovely cosy restaurant with the most delectable food. Just like we always remembered. An oldie but a goodie. The aroma when you enter makes your mouth water and the staff are extremely friendly and the service is quick. A must if you havent been here or havent been here in a while. Attentive guard outside. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The pizza reminded me of how pizza used to be made back in the day. Pizza menu somewhat limited, especially if youre vegetarian.
