The premade pasta pockets/ravioli and tortellini are amazing. The choice was a little limited at the time I was there but I managed to get a great meal for a party we were hosting. Well worth a visit

Amazing Italian products and such a wide variety of pastas. They have beautiful frozen ravioli and ready made sauces. Very well priced as well. My go-to for all Italian dry goods, olive oil, sauces and deli products.

Really awesome Italian delicatessen. Very well stocked with Italian style food and delicacies. Upstairs is a Cafe style restaurant where you can sit and enjoy real Italian style cuisine at very reasonable prices. The chef is a graduate from the Prue Leith Culinary Institute.

Best place to get quality cold meats,along with an array of pasta and cheese.

What immediately strikes you is how clean and neat the store is, somewhat in contrast to the stores immediate surrounds. The store has a delightful range of imported Italian products. Above the supermarket is a equally clean and neat Italian deli and coffee shop that serves great coffee and even the most basic item on offer tastes surprisingly authentic.

On the surface this is an Italian product mini market. This is true but the upstairs has little restaurant where you’ll find the most delicious custom sandwiches for sale. It’s not a very user friendly system, it’s not immediately clear where to order nor are all the options on display. However if you’re will to patiently trudge your way through the abstruse ordering process you’ll be rewarded with a most delicious panini (Italian sandwich, usually toasted but not in this case).

Reminded me of a true Italian NYC deli .The cleanliness was impressive .The deli meats where endless .I am a coffee aficionado and there italian brand was exceptional. The ciabatta and cheese super fresh .Friendly staff great service with a smile .This place has all your Italian kitchen needs in there super market section .Safe convenient parking .

The ONLY Italian deli and produce store that I can recommend for amazing quality and unbelievable prices. It will be a very very sad day if they ever close down. I highly recommend you visit this charming Italian store in Orange Grove. You will not regret it!

The only shop in Joburg to get lots of Italian basics — cheese, proper salami, a thousand kind of noodles etc. Staff including the owner‘s kids are really friendly and professional

I really love this little spot. They sell all Italian groceries like olive oil and pasta and coffee. They also have a great deli upstairs where you can get lunch at a reasonable cost really quickly. I enjoy the bolognese, and the pesto pasta. They usually also have pizza slices.

Super Sconto is an awesome place with a huge variety of top products from Italy. A great place to go shopping if youre looking for quality Italian food products. As well as their retail store downstairs they also have a great Italian restaurant upstairs where you cour order a variety of great food

Orange Grove, post war, was the preferred area for immigrant Italian families. Little wonder that an Italian supermarket should pop up in the area. Now established, Super Sconto is a place to get Italian deli items, imported goods and panettone cakes for Christmas. Their little cafe/ restaurant is airy and bright and very pleasant for business meetings or a gathering of friends. Their sandwiches are delicious. Definitely a favourite.

Fantastic Italian food wholesalers. Best place to buy tinned goods, oils, vinegars, pasta etc. You can also get good coffee and cake here. Dont be put off by the location. Louis Botha Ave can be scary but this is very safe.

A hidden gem! The best place to buy all your imported Italian cooking ingredients from organic tinned tomatoes to anchovies, olive oil, Parma ham and cheeses. They even stock Italian sweets and cleaning products. Plus there is a deli upstairs that serves delicious food and good coffee.All the prices are reasonable, there is off street parking, a bottle store next door and the deli has a smoking section.

Have bought two products and they were both EXPIRED. Please check your shelf life and remove EXPIRED GOODS, espeially stuff like anchovies !Franca at the deli is a lovely and helpful lady. A few of the waiters need to show more interest in their job, they always seem so unenthusiastic.
