Place was very neat, and clean.Bunny on the other hand had way too much gravy, less meat, bread was hard and potatoes were not soft. Can be improved.

Very very very delicious food.Decently close to Durban curries and thats saying alot! The soji is divine and not too sweet, which means you can eat more without realizing it.My only critique is that the curries (specifically broad beans and sugar beans) where a little to spicy.Dont get me wrong, I love spicy and flavourful curries but this was a little over the top.Now disclaimer, Im writing this review without the knowledge of goundens having different spice levels of the curry. If they do, then this is a 5 star review. If not, then I recommend toning down the spice level - just a smidgen.

Enjoyed a delicious beans bunny and mutton bunny. Was so tasty and just like our Durban Indian cooking. Lots of gravy, meat, potatoes and salad.

Really a gem of a place. Best curries in jhb north after a long time... Tried their lamb, chicken and kebab bunnies and all were consistently great. Good quality meat, fresh bread and perfect amount of gravy. Right meat portions. Well done guys and keep the consistency please. We will be supporting this place for a long time

Food is great but limited on vegan options.More vegan options would definitely have got more stars.

Basic Bunny. Curry was just spicy hot no real flavour. On the positive the quantity of meat to bread ratio was decent but it was flooded with gravy, not everybody enjoys a plate full of gravy. R105 for a quarter is a bit overpriced. The meal was worth at most R85. Definitely not the same Goundens from Durban...copied the name, not the taste.

One of the best in Johannesburg in my opinion.Over the last few months weve enjoyed everything from vegetable breyani, mutton and chicken curry, mutton and chicken breyani.Ronald is friendly and personable. Will definitely get a bunny chow, with lots of gravy from Goundens Fourways soon.

Consistency is the key to success of any good curry spot. Unfortunately, you will not get that with Goundens Fourways.Weve order twice from the take away and there wont be a third. On the first occasion the curries were well prepared and delicious. We ordered the kebabs with roti and a quarter mutton bunny. The mutton curry was exceptional and compensated for the slightly stale bread.Yesterday was like this was a different place. Our order was one of the worst Ive had bar two items:1. Quarter mutton - mutton pieces in a water gravy. No taste profile at all. In my opinion they added too much of water when reheating the curry.2. Vegetarian burger was the biggest joke of all. 20 minutes after ordering we see the staff arriving back from the Pick n Pay across the road with frozen soya patties in the bag.3. Pre packed rotis - these were purchased to be paired with a meal later in the day. Unfortunately this was closer to dough than roti. The Good:4. Kebabs were well prepared and delicious.5. Soji was the only real highlight of this experience. In summary, of youre desperate for a curry and are willing to roll the dice give Goundens Fourways a try. I wont be going back and would rather take the extra 15 minutes to drive to Midrand for a reliable spot. PS. If you order take away expect to wait 45 minutes for an order similar to the above.
