Clean, neat and very dedicated people
The temple is beautiful with an auspicious energy but is let down by that older priest from Durban who is constantly moody and on WhatsApp.He wont even bless you as he apparently doesnt do that. The committee needs to look into this moody uncles behaviour and get him off WhatsApp gossiping during working hours
Very clean and serene. Guru is very kind and supportive
Beautiful temple but needs a new Guru. The older guru spends more time on whatsapp and seems annoyed to do his duties. Rather get a priest who performs his duties happily than begrudgingly. Cant be gossiping on whatsapp with Cookie etc when opening book
A temple that has been there for decades and a place of worship for thousands of believers. Well maintained.
Great temple service, intimate crown given covid.
Its a place of peace and tranquility. A place of worship for Hindus
One of the oldest temples in South Africa, deep in maintaining culture and history. Definitely a must see. The temple is always very well maintained and safe and boasts a family of peacocks that chirp in the background while you offer your prayers.
If you doing nine Saturdays, this temple has the nine statues. Efficient and well organized. Book reading available by appointment @R50. Tranquil environment. Tamil lessons available.
The most tranquil temple 💛
The trustees are racist towards my white boyfriend and my fashion sense! Behave like common dark Indians instead of devotees! Will not make an appearance hear again!
Temple is clean and good service provided
Local Subrahmanya Temple with so many small temples inside. Very good and Peaceful temple
Open only for Car Prayers with set prices for certain types of cars. This isnt a spiritual place at all! The focus is on money and the trustees are the worst looking and not good peopleRather drive to Buccleuch temple where the energy is about GodThat Guru only busy on his phone the whole day
Peaceful atmosphere, enlightening experience and simply beautifully designed. Definitely worth a visit especially during major prayer festivals, its an unforgettable experience.
It was spiritually uplifting and an experience that I will continue to enjoy by visiting Melrose Temple frequently from now on. The organization of the Kavady festival by all involved was awesome!!
One of the oldest Hindu temple.. Well maintained and has the aura of South India
It is Hindu temple with Shiva and Murgan temple very neat and calm place for meditation
If you are an Indian and missing temple in South Africa then visit this place. You gonna love 😊 temple is big and neat & clean well maintained it has a lot of idols of Lords with nine planets (greh)
Amazing temple ! Great vibration ! I think I was just worried about my car when I did not park in an enclosed area (on the road) with no security supervision.
One of the best South Indian temples still following the Indian tradition and culture in South African way.
Convenient place for all Hindu devotees.
Nice and allowing with precautions in this pandemic

Wonderful atmosphere. Neat and well organised.
Always a peaceful place to be
A must place to visit for Hindus in Johannesburg. Built 180 years before. Gandhi use to visit this temple often when he lived in South Africa. One of the first temple to be built in Gauteng.
Nicely located and not very busy unless there is some major event taking place. Friendly and willing people around to help
Divine 🙏🌼🌸💐🌺🙏
Took my wife there for her religious ritual at an appointed time, she was kept waiting for well over an hour. No respect for peoples time and schedules
