Great conferencing venue. Our management team had 2 separate planning sessions there. Conference room was lovely with all the necessary amenities. Lunch was like a Sunday meal, home cooked and delicious. Catering for vegans was thoughtful and appropriate. Tea break snacks were okay. Hosts are super pleasant and efficient. Good quality at affordable rates. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Absolutely loved this place! Sue (the owner) was extremely accommodating and understanding especially when traveling during these circumstances (COVID). This hotel felt like my home away from home and I definitely highly recommend it!

A great tranquil home from home among the trees.

This guest house is possibly one of the best lodges I have stayed while in South Africa when visiting from USA. The staff and owner are so friendly, the rooms are clean and the dining room is beautiful (and yes for a great pool!). If you want a quaint and quiet place, but still close to everything, while in Johannesburg this is it. To note - an important bonus it is super safe - enclosed and great guard. This is my second time to stay at Melrose Place -- once with my daughter and once without kids -- both times they were accommodating. Thanks! Ill be back when Im back in South Africa!

Beautiful 👌 place safe and clean

I would recommend this for conference facility for smaller teams (we were 14 people). The room was situation away from the road under beautiful, big trees providing lots of shade. It was also spacious with plenty of outdoor seating. Host looked after us even greeting me and making sure I knew where to go. Food was also of a good quality and they provided plenty of coffee and tea.

Very pleasant environment for traning, particularly the room we used for a small group. Tasty meals with pleasant staff and environment for group interaction. Lovely pool and garden to walk in or have a quiet time. The rooms look comfortable a place to relax and be refreshed.

Went to the guesthouse for breakfast to meet up with some friends. Its a very quaint, quiet and secluded guesthouse with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast layout. Situated near some great restaurants and the Illovo shopping centre. The decor was stylish and well-maintained. Would recommend it for anyone coming in from out of town.

Arrived late at night and was enveloped by the smell of jasmine on the way to reception. Rooms spacious and well maintained. Underfloor heating was great

Beautiful surroundings, rooms with very helpful staff & owner personally involved. I stayed there the last couple of times for medical reasons. Their gentleman providing the service, is like family there. Looks after his passengers very very well, and i felt save with him. I will gladly urge you to stay here, away from noisy Jhn rat race.

Everything is just perfect !People are very nice, smiling, friendly. They make you feel confortable. If you have any question about the neighborhood how to get there what to do, where to eat, etc. They will help you and find something to do. We had really nice time and I had a really nice time with Lerota (I hope Im spelling that well) talking about her country, her life. It was really nice and interesting. We will definitely come back here (we didnt plan on our holiday to come back here but because of the experience and people that we meet we will change our plan).So for whos who want to have more details about the room :very nice, and big room, very clean!!! bathroom with a shower and a bath. Very nice environment with a lot of plant. Youre feeling alone here and in the middle of the forest.There is of course the wifi and the connection is good.For conclusion, lets just say I will recommend the place !Thanks to Sue, lerotha, Diane, and all the staff that we met from Melrose! We made our stay special !

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge.I think the reception must be improved.When we checked in there was so much confusion.Security had to check us in.Thr rooms were nice.

This place does not ever deserve to be an establishment for accommodation, the most horrible service I have ever had in my life.
