The building is amazing with very friendly exterior. Literally 3 minutes walk from the beach. Thats why the 3 star rating. Check in time was communicated when we got there, which is very inconvenient for a client walking in during the morning.Elevator is small, challenging for the physically challenged. Rooms were clean and very comfortable, however they were missing a kettle and a fridge. Even after requesting for 3 days we still didnt receive assistance. If you have other options maybe try those and skip yourself the heartache.

The place has Manny shops you can find everything and anything that you need its like a one stop, shop from the best food to clothing stores and just so much more,its one place I always love to visit when Im in jozi

One of the oldest buildings in Johannesburg. You can find everything you need in the Carlton Center. Its very busy and crowded so always be guarding your belongings and valuables. If you feel for it you can go up to the fiftieth floor and get an amazing view over Johannesburg and even further. There are also some historic facts around here. Its definitely worth a visit for the view.

This mall looks small from the outside but when you get inside, it is humongous. It goes three floors down!😱 At least there are escalators and stairs. It is not really friendly towards disabled people as they will have a hard time getting to the escalators. Shops are properly arranged especially the restaurants which are all clustered together. It has a lot of foot traffic. One major supermarket there is PicknPay.

This place is usually crowded especially the food court from Fridays. The centre has got enough number of fast food shops. Parking outside is a nightmare as you can hardly get a parking outside with metered taxis andtaxis everywhere.Lifts needs a lot of attention, not to mention the escalators that are always out of order.

Great mall with ALL types of shops..... food, clothes, gadgets, shoes and centrally located in Johannesburg Central Business District.

Theres only one thing to do at the Carlton Centre and thats Top of Africa. I would advise doing the Carlton Centre with the City Tours Red Bus. This will ensure you have a safe experience. There use to be a restaurant but its closed now. Keep in mind that the building is mostly empty now but the point is to look out to Johannesburg.

Carton Center is in the CBD OF JOHANNESBURG AND HAS LONG BEEN ONE OF THE MOST VISITED PLACE.ITS GREAT TO BE IN,CLEAN,WITH VISIBLE SECURITY.A CINEMA AND ALSO GREAT SHOPS.

Do yourself a favour and do it! It costs R30 (cash only) and is totally worth it. We visited as a stop on the Hop On Hop Off bus tour and were amazed! As part of the tour you will be escorted to the top which does help as it’s incredibly daunting and you could get lost.

Great view, however information to reach the top of tue building was poor and the facilities were in need of a special care. Looks like the place is abandoned. Anyway I recomend it.
