Its been almost 4 months going there and not getting the help that I need,the worst is that the past 2 weeks when I went back we were told that their systems have been hacked and theyve been offline since.and still can not give any indication as to when will theyll be functional again.

The problem in not only hacking. The BIGGEST problemIs corruption. FACT.For now: For all intents and purposes, the Masters offices have ceased to exist/function. Another shameful FACT.

Please hire me to fix your broken Public Institution. I will work for free to ensure Johannesburg actually has a functional Masters office. Step 1. Answer your phone. Step 2. Train employees. Step 3. South Africa now has a functional Masters Office.This advice Im giving you is absolutely FREE of charge.

Handed required estate documents in September 2020. Numerous telephone calls go unanswered. Live almost 4 hours away. To date no response via my telephone calls nor have they contacted me. I do have a reference number. Holding back my progress at the GEPF offices as I retired in Oct 2020. Any idea how to get hold of them.

They are quite efficient and the queues are long but fast moving. Covid 19 regulations adhered to and staff is helpful.

If you have all the correct documents then you will get sorted out quickly. The gentleman who served us was a man of few words but he knew what he was doing. I can understand that their job is hectic and frustrating but they also need to modernize their systems and procedures. It would also be nice if there were branch offices so that you dont have to travel into JHB city.

I had the unfortunate task of reporting my late sisters estate at the Masters office and I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised at the highly professional and efficient service I received from everybody at the office from the security, to Tebogo at the Registry on the 5th floor, but especially Mr Katlego Maponya a very engaging young man who assisted in taking me through the whole process in about an hour and 10 minutes. Thanks to him I left with the executor appointment letter on the same day.

Good day.my grandmother had two sons.and we are three grandchildren of her two sons.both sons died but one son merried to his wife where by he left the wife in the house with her son that has hes own father.wife claim that the house is hers.but the title deed state that the house is still on grannys name and surname.just want to know if the house is hers.what about the grandchildren.are we getting something.and the wife has one rdp house where she renting out and now staying with her son.

Communication skills are severely limited. Waiting since early April 2018 for my Appointment of Executor Letter.They can not or do not want to send me this Letter by Email. They expect me to travel all the way back to the Master of the High Court in Jhb to wait for an Appointment of Executor Letter for my Deceased wifes Estate. They refuse to reply to my emails. They are not willing to confirm in writing that the Appointment of Executors letter is ready to collect. Chances are very good that I will go there and wait for nothingAbsolutely shocking Bad Service!

At your time of grief the last thing you need is someone incompetent whos looking at your case. my experience for the past 3 years with the assistant master is horrible. he is biased and lets his feelings get in the way of him doing his work. I am very upset.

The service was really disappointing, aside from merely a handful of staff personnel whom were truly willing to help and service orientated, the majority were demotivated and disorganised.There needs to be better communication and their system needs to be upgraded to assist them in their extreme high workload.

This is the place where you find the most lazy and unwilling to help individuals who always complain about how their system is offline on a daily basis. these people do not appreciate their jobs. i swear you could go there everyday and they would tell you about how slow of offline their system is, that time they just opened their doors.

I don’t think they are lazy they are incompetent and don’t know what they are doing - how does a person submit a file 3 time and it gets lost 3 times from the master of the court - not just any small court, THE MASTER OF THE COURT
