If you need building material and place then this is a place for you. It is limited though with groceries. It is more of a handymans fortress

General Salvage used to be one of my favourite places to come and shop for a bargain, but lately Ive noticed that the prices arent really much cheaper than what you would pay in PicknPay or Checkers. And the products are very dirty and dusty as well which means you have to wipe everything down when you get home. A lot of the time the stuff is well past its expiry date as well. Occasionally you will find a good deal here, but generally I just think PicknPay is better.

Unfriendly and very sarcastic when you ask a question. 2 females and 1 man behind the counter. Not willing to help at all. Looks at you and roll their eyes when you ask for assistance and then laughs at you. If you cannot assist thats fine but when you start being sarcastic and say things like Ill go to Spar buy what you want and sell it to you at Spar price then laugh at me is just plain rudeness. The word racist was never used. I said are you being funny because of the color of my skin. But if the shoe fits lace it up. No apology was given even in this Revue just goes to show the nature of your service.

A well stocked place for those who love salvaging. They have a vast selection of paints at a very reasonable price and they mix on site. A very good customer caring team.

If you are looking for salvaged items, this is the place to be. Many items, from groceries to toiletries to tools. Some items are in damaged packaging and others may be short dated. Prices are good and fair. Payment is only taken by debit or credit card. Do not take cash. Parking is good but do not cater for disabled.

Best deals youre going to get for food, toiletries and appliances. Just mind the packaging usually damaged or very dusty but the contents are always good. If you want to save money on daily things come here for sure.

Always a bargain available. Just take your card to pay as they were robbed a few times and now only accept cards as payment. Fantastic shop.

They have a lot of variety of things from food to furniture to paint. Just make sure you check out the expiry dates on the products before purchasing. Also have an idea of what the product costs before purchasing as some items are damaged but costs the same as a normal retailer.

Good day , me and my wife visit your shop quite frequently and spend between R300 - R1000 there per month for many years. As you see I still give you 4 stars although I had a very unpleasant experience on the 15th of August with Chris the manager , I presume. I saw a Ryobi Drill Press for R1100 and a Ryobi grinder for R1300 yesterday which I wanted to buy. I came there today and told Chris that I can get the drill at take a lot for R1,395 and if he can bring the price down . He told me very rudely that he is sick and tired of people coming with the story of better prices and that I can go and buy it there. I was quite surprised by the reaction as I feel it is my right to negotiate better prices. I still wanted to buy the drill press and Chris saw the helper test the drill and ask me what can I get the drill for. I told him R1800 and he told the lady working there to put the price up from R1100 to R2000I told Chris that I rather do business with his dad as he always treated me an my wife very well. My wife always could negotiate discount with him in a very friendly manner. We dont feel that we can visit the shop again as I was in no unsurtain , manner told to leave by the lady shop assistant.I hope some of the personal can learn people skills in how to treat a customer.Remember it is the customers right to negotiate better prices.Thank you for the many years we could buy at your shop.
