I had just recommended Dr Klisiewicz to an acquaintance of mine who will be relocating to South Africa from the US and that is how I happened upon these reviews. I was a patient of Dr Klisiewiczs for many, many years before I moved to the US. I was first assigned to the Dr at the Center for Diabetes Control in early 2000s before she went into private practice. I have been to many specialists over the years and theres no other doctor that I hold in higher regard, even in the US. Dr Klisiewicz is highly ethical and wont waste your time if you need to see another specialist. She is methodical in her approach and at the time recommended a diabetic medication that was fairly new in SA which helped me lose weight and set me on the right path. At great personal cost she attends the annual international diabetic conferences so shes always on top of the latest trends. For years I traveled between Cape Town and Johannesburg for my twice-yearly consult and that says a lot. She also treats my daughter for a thyroid problem and my daughter travels from Limpopo. She has a good network of other specialists and I have never been disappointed with her referrals.

I went to her for help with a hormone imbalance as a teenager and was told after a year theres nothing she can do for me. She wasted a year of my life and sent me around to dietitians and gynecologists for no reason just because she didnt know how to diagnose me and I wasnt a textbook case. I arrived a few months later in her office to tell her a dietitian didnt fix my hormonal imbalance and she didnt even know who I was or why I was in her office. I went to another endocrinologist straight after and was diagnosed and put on effective treatment immediately. So unless your symptoms can be found verbatim in a medical book or you feel like wasting your time, I advise you to go elsewhere.

Dr Klisiewicz is one of those rare doctors who truly care about the patient and is involved in every part of the process to get the patient well again. I went to her as I had symptoms which I thought is related to my thyroid. I had been in hospital for a week prior to going to Dr Klisiewicz with no diagnoses. To keep a long story short, Dr Klisiewicz performed verious tests and concluded that it is not a problem related to her specialty as an Endocrinologist. She referred me to one of her colleagues and also consulted with them. At the end of the day she diagnosed me with quite a rare disorder that other doctors did not pick up.

You get Doctors ... and then you get Dr Klisiewicz , that one Doctor that really goes the extra mile, DR Klisiewicz really has a heart of GOLD ! Caring for a loved one that has been dx with a life long illness and Drs become a part of your life ... sometimes you just need some Compassion and that is what DR Klisiewicz done for us.... we are not just a File number, we are important to her. I will recommend her to absolutely everybody, if you are looking for a Dr that takes her time...investigates...communicates and to top it all off Caring DR Klisiewicz is the one!

Dr. Klisiewics is very meticulous with her examination of a patient and explains how to manage your thyroid issues. Your meds, how it should be taken.Dr. Klisiewics is amazing, she called my daughter at 18h30 in the evening to give her the ultrasound results and explained the way forward.

I may not be a patient however I can definitely say she does not make you feel like just a number. Its all about the service and being courteous. She is highly qualified and had me distracted as I tried to read all her achievements. I dont usually write reviews.
