I was referred to the specialist by my Dentist, I called them in March 2021 and booked an appointment for 5 June, on the 31st May they called me to remind me of my appointment, 04 June they called asking me to send my medical details so they can check my benefits. i went there on my day of appointment (05 June), on day of arrival they told me they calling my scheme (they asked for my details a day prior) and then they told me the scheme doesnt cover and i will have to pay cash. i told them i cant believe it and i will call the scheme to find out. a week later they claimed to my scheme (under the dentist, as opposed to the specialist, which i didnt even see, even though they didnt help me as they said my scheme doesnt cover. i called my scheme which confirmed that i am covered, i added the guy (Kevin) from the doctor where the lady from Bankmed asked for the codes and she confirmed in his presence that they are indeed covering. he said he was sorry for all the misunderstanding. after the call Kevin called me again saying they will call the scheme again to verify if indeed they will cover, they got the same answer, he called me again and said can they claim to see if they will pay as they are now booking me for 17 July. i asked why would you claim before helping me, he said it is fine they will see me on the 17 July @9H00. 16 July they called at 12H43 rescheduling my appointment to 12; (trust me i had also made my own plans for 12 after seeing the specialist), they told me i was the 1st client at 9 but moving me to 12, i asked why dont they reschedule everyone of us, so me from 9 to 10, the client at 10 to 11 and so on, the lady said she will call me. she eventually called and we settled for 11 oclock. 17 July i went for my appointment, only to arrive there and the dentist told me unfortunately they cant help me as Ive been rude to her staffs,How unfortunate, the staffs who seem to be so incompetent (only except Kevin, he really tried to correct every incompetent mistakes the ladies that made me left very very frustrated). I went there having read some reviews about how rude the dentist she is, i have witnessed that first hand. i first had an encounter with them in February and by July they didnt even help me, how frustrating. I was hoping i was going to form a long lasting relationship with the specialist (at least for the next 2 years as i am putting braces on my teeth)

We went there with my family. My seven year old son was treated by a dentist who did not have a smile. She was all grumpy and when I asked her if she is angry, she responded with a cold face. She asked my son to open his mouth not even making him feel relaxed as a child. I stopped that day going there and I told the receptionist what happened. My son refused to go back and I had to find myself another dentist.

The most expensive dentist....i went for tooth filling that cost R1400 the doctor decided to do extraction because the tooth was already bad so the extraction costed R1200, they promised to refund me R200 because i already paid R1400... They never did, when i call the story is different, apparently they dont owe me... Ill never ever set my foot in this place again, Ill rather go to public hospital for any dental needs .

My experience with the dentist was very bad. After my tooth extraction 17 Dec 19...I noticed that I was not getting better. I went back later in Jan to complain about the constant pain I was experiencing in my tooth socket. Only then I was told that according to the xray (that they took on the same day the tooth was extracted) the roots of my extracted tooth was attached to the floor of my maxillary sinus there4 causing an unnatural hole between my oral cavity & maxillary sinus. I was advised by Dr Mafojane that there is nothing they can do for me, that I need to consult the maxillo facial & oral surgeon to close the hole in my mouth. After 2 days, I realised that I have an infection and pus was starting to come out of the tooth socket from the sinus. I was hospitalised for 4 days under antibiotics by the ENT to treat the infection. Before consulting the ENT, the maxillo facial and oral surgeon told me that he cant close the hole until the infection was treated. He then referred me to the ENT. This has caused me so much pain and inconvenience going in & out of the hospitalI blame the dentist for negligence. She was aware (via xray) that during the extraction the could be a possibility that my sinus would be perforated. And if it was the case she shouldve advice me to come back immediately if I experience certain signs in my oral cavity (oroantral communication).I would have attended to this issue immediately and not wait to experience pain and infection firstShe took my case very lightly and told me to go see the oral surgeon and told me that there is nothing she can doShe told me I have delayed to come back. Normally people with this problem come back immediately. My only question to her: HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM IF YOU DIDNT TELL ME????Ive already had a sinusitis surgery and I still need to do another surgery to close the hole that has caused the infection.
