0/10 - would not recommend. “Doctor” Aloma Hees provided me with what can only be described as an attempted assault on the morning of my birthday, on a Sunday, where after I had to cancel all my plans for the day because I was so traumatised after visiting her that I could not remain calm enough for the lunch I had planned with 20 of my family members. What was supposed to be a quick fix of slightly chipped composite on my 2 front teeth (see photo 1) after an hour and a half upside down in her chair became the worst day of my life in which my 2 front teeth were ruined with irreparable damage (see photo 2 & 3) by excessive drilling and a horrific reapplication of disfigured composite that didn’t even match the colour of my own teeth, where after I wasn’t able to eat, speak properly or close my mouth comfortably until I had gone to see my own dentist. Oh wait - it’s not irreparable but I’d have to pay costly amounts to repair the damage done. In addition to that I was informed by her (after her taking an x-ray) one of those 2 front teeth had an abscess (which my own trusted dentist confirmed not to be the case a few days after, not even close) which I only assume was to secure further procedures with me that day. When my nerves were getting feeling back after an hour and a half in her chair I was told to “keep still and don’t move” in a dominant and harsh manner when I tried to signal my pain, that’s when I became scared. She gave me no information about what she was doing and there was no consent given for what she was doing. After being noticeably terrified and asking if we are almost there I was sat upright told to drink these pills immediately (see photo 4). Note: 6 x 500mg AMOXY + 1 x 400mg MZL. She left the room twice during the procedures each for 15 minutes to go into her house. While she was away for the second time, right after giving me the pills, I was very scared and grabbed my phone from my handbag to look into the reflection of it what the heck was going on in my mouth and why it was taking so long. To my horror I saw the job and decided that I needed to get out of there. Immediately! She asks R1800 for just seeing her and R1200 per tooth. Because she had not completed the job she charged me R2962.50. So almost R3K to have my teeth ruined and traumatised on my birthday. She clearly didn’t know what she was doing, but she went ahead anyway. Later that day I asked for a record of the work she had done, she ignored my requests. She is ignoring my requests on WhatsApp for my record for the 4th day now. My experience of her that day is that she is unfriendly, blunt, and pompous and that she doesn’t care about patients in her care. Her garage-turned-consulting room was in dissaray, total mess. Very interested to hear back from the HPCSHA on confirmation if she is registered and allowed to practice.

Really great dentist! Ive been to so many dentists but Dr Aloma got me out of pain in only a few moments. Im forever grateful for her after hour services and will defintely be back

Have had nothing but great experiences with Dr Hees. She has never not come to my rescue when I have had a dental emergency and is extremely understanding and willing to accommodate her patients circumstances. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an emergency dentist to help at anytime, day or night, as well as for normal day to day dentistry.

Honestly Im disappointed with the treatment I received. I read all the good reviews and had hope that I would be assisted. I sent a whatsapp text after 17:00 inquiring about the cost of a tooth extraction and instead I was given attitude and asked to call that very same number if its an emergency. I stated that I have swollen gums and cannot make a call but wasnt taken serious. I dont know why she kept going back and forth about why I couldnt call when she couldve just told me the price instead. I understand that its 24 hours service hence I even sent that text. What a utter waste of time!

Unfortunately had a very negative experience. Struggled for a year following the appointment to get my x-rays from her and when I eventually did they were unusable for my orthodontist. Wont be going back. The Westdene Medical & Dental Mews dentists down the road are fantastic - they are so affordable, kind, professional. Rather go there.

I had a really painful toothache on Friday in the early hours of the morning, and Dr Hees was super helpful in relieving my pain. Ive never had a dentist who explained so in depth as to the cause of my dental issue, her treatment plan worked out great for me.I will definitely travel from Midrand to see her again. Dr Aloma Hees is an incredibly rude individual. Condescending, arrogant, she doesnt listen to you, and when I asked what I could do to help my husband until his consult, she tells me, Maam, this is not a telephonic consult. If youre looking for a doctor with empathy and understanding, dont go to her.

Dr Hees is absolutely phenomenal. I was petrified of going to the dentist so much so that I hadnt been to one in 20years! I ended up at Dr Hees surgery late one night after being in unbearable pain for a few days. Since that night I have referred many colleagues, friends and family to her and all have been very impressed and refuse to see anyone else.

I went to Dr Aloma last night,she was my last hope as I am pregnant and all the dentist that I had been to were either too scared to extract or perform anything on my tooth. She was very warm and her assistant too. I was in a bad state when I got there and she did an awesome job and now Im back to my old self. She is very good at what she does. She is also a super friendly lady.

Dr Hees is an angel. Shes the kindest doctor Ive ever met. This is a calling for her, not a job. May you keep up your great work and grow from strength to strength. Thanks for your kindness. I urge anyone who needs a doctor to consult with Dr Hees. Shes a lovely angel.

Dr Hees is overall, an excellent dentist. I highly recommend her to all with dental problems.

What a God send dr,phoned her last night ,went there 22:30 and with no hesitant help with in 20 min and dr was only caring to as how i felt.Didnt sleep for 3 days after experience 3 days of pain,and left her family that time of night,just to attend to me and really making sure i was comfortable and pain free.THATS A ANGEL.

Appointment was on time, Dr was very experienced,helpful and welcoming , place was very clean and hygienic. Would recommend her to anyone.

I was charged a ridiculous amount of money for removing 2 of my daughters teeth. Medical aid refused to repay the money. The Drs place was untidy and she is an unfriendly individual.

I have been to a lot of dentists however Dr Aloma Hees is by far the best. I would recommend anyone to go to her.

Dr Hees is a wonderful dentist. She explains my X-Rays to me and has continually kept me informed of the treatment choices that she has made. She is gentle and despite my having a few really difficult teeth I have never experienced any pain. For the first time ever I actually know how to brush my teeth ( and didnt get charged a fee for the privilege either!) I trust Dr Aloma and her kind assistant, Lavelle. So, I have peace of mind, a practitioner who listens, cares and is really flexible around appointment times. I also feel that Im getting a great deal.I recommend Dr Hees whole heartedly.
