We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were spacious and beds comfy. I really loved the breakfast variety as well. Staff at every point of service was helpful and and swift in making decisions that enhance guest stay. The hotel is within the Rosebank and the Zone malls which I feel is understated for the international traveller who may not know the place and wants everything to be close by. The hotel is covid-19 compliant and sanitising points are dotted right round the hotel and in its lifts which is great.

What a great welcome back to this hotel ; which had been affected by Covid and shut for a while. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly; really makes one feel like a valued guest! The rooms are superbly appointed and comfortable and the hotel ideally and conveniently situated in the heart of Rosebank with all the greatest restaurants nearby. A special word of thanks to the housekeeping staff and duty manager who arranged to drop off my cell phone charger at my head office when I inadvertently left it behind in the room when checking out! Great attention to Covid protocols making one feel exceptionally safe. Excellent - I highly recommend this establishment for ongoing friendliness, professionalism and consistent attention to detail.

I booked reward nights for a weekend getaway with my wife. What an awesome experience! The reception clerk, Ben, upgraded us to a suite on the top floor, complete with our own private balcony.The room was clean and tidy and extremely comfortable.Thank you so much for the great service, we will absolutely be returning soon.

This Hotel comes highly recommended if you want a centrally located Rosebank Hotel close to everything that matters when it comes to shopping, entertainment, and dining options. It is comfortable in all aspects and provides a very pleasant experience - except for the shower, I have no complaints or high praise, however, the greatest asset to this Hotel is its charming staff in all departments. I was very satisfied when the hotel accommodated us by giving us an early check in due to the fact that we had to attend a meeting scheduled for 2pm.The room was ready, check in was super fast and staff veru so friendly.

Salmaan and the entire staff at Holiday Inn Rosebank were super friendly and helpful. In these difficult times they thrived to make our stay super comfortable. We had a little extra attention especially from the kitchen staff and piled on extra kilos from all the delicious breakfast

This hotels only benefit is it is next to Rosebank mall. The staff was helpful, friendly and courteous despite the challenges of covid restrictions. But the decor in the rooms is out-dated and tired. Old carpets, old tv, uncomfortable chair and a gloomy room. The shower was weak, I think the shower-head is clogged with limescale.

Arrived by train from ORT Airport and the hotel is just a few metres from the train station exit which very convenient.All Covid protocols were observed.Room was clean and comfortable.

Upon check Ive asked for a room upgrade as this was the perks of having Spire elite. The lady told me that it will not be possible due to covid. I again told het but I need a bigger room and still did not award any upgrade. There was also no welcome gift, or any added benefits of being Spire elite.I have even checked on the App and saw that there were ample deluxe rooms available.The treatment was exactly the same as any other guests without any status.Its quite devastated to know that one goes to the extend of supporting hotels with status recognition soon to be disappointed that is is not the case.I will definitely not visit again and will support other hotels that will honor loyal members.

The beds are very uncomfortable and bad they felt like sleeping on a rock. Also my wife got an extensive skin allergy from the bed sheets as it could have bed bugs!!!

The staff of the bar and restaurant made us feel really welcome. They did always their best and the service was better than in a 5 star hotel. Also breakfast was second to none! And nothing to complain about the a la carte either. Rooms were big and clean. Also the location connected to mall was great.Beds were not perfect but that is the only negative thing to say. I would definitely stay there again and can recommend the hotel to anyone.

I enjoyed my stay. Thank you for letting me know that I am an elite member and for upgrading me. The pillows are clearly marked and that was a great touch. The room is very nice and big. The view was also very amazing. The ice machine came in handy and the room service was great. The check in went smoothly. The complimentary drink for the elite members is also a great touch.

Connected to the The Zone Mall where you can find everything you need: restaurants, supermarkets, Rosebank Sunday Food Market so you don’t need to worry about walking or driving at night as it’s not safe to be out and about after dark. We booked a City Sightseeing Bus Tour, where the office and the bus stop is also at The Zone! Perfect location, great selections of breakfast and clean hotel. Also recommended if you are renting a car. Parking is free, you just need to validate your parking ticket at the reception. Definitely recommended for stay at Jo’Burg.

The rooms were clean ,very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. This is just a perfect hotel for a getaway.

Hotel is centrally situated, very clean and all staff very flriendly.

I stay at Holiday Inn Rosebank at least 3x a year for a month or longer each time. The staff are absolutely great! They are very attentive and make me feel very welcomed when I come to visit. The facilities are quite nice and relaxing. The bar staff are outstanding as I often hang out there - even just to socialize - being at the hotel for such long duration. Overall the team goes above and beyond and should I ever need something or have an issue (which is rarely), they are quick to resolve. Thanks to all the staff!! I hope the management treats them well as they do a great job!

Stayed here for the 2nd time for two whole weeks, making a total of 4 weeks I have stayed here.I have now decided this hotel is a short stay hotel, it has limitations which I feel stop it from being a two week hotel.But as an overnight or two night hotel I would recommend as the staff welcome and the breakfast is good.My reason for choice is it is very close to the Gautrain which I use everyday to get into Park station, and then catch the Gautrain bus into CBD.

The staff are very accommodating and lovely. James at the front desk remembered our names and helped us with a couple travel inquiries. The hotel is modern and clean, very comfortable. Its next to a great shopping mall and restaurants.

This hotel is attached to a nice mall. Has access to the mall from the hotel itself. The mall has good options for food as well. I love oriental food and I found an option in the mall. The service is good and staff has genuine concern for you.

Very clean, safe hotel. The best thing this hotel offers is the quality of the staff. Very friendly, effective and professional. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the duty manager were friendly and very helpful. If I ever get chance to visit Johannesburg in future I would definitely stay here again. Bed was very comfortable; room was quiet and breakfast choice and quality is excellent.Internet was very slow during my stay compared to other HIs.Very convenient and safe location for buisness in the city. Easy access to the local extensive shopping mall and restaurants etc all within easy safe walking distance. Variable charge rate for the week is a little disconcerting.

The holiday inn in Rosebank is situated in a great location. There are several places to eat and shop . All of these are within walking distance which adds a tremendous amount of convenience for anyone staying at the holiday inn in Rosebank. Also, the area is clean and I feel somewhat safe.

Always a great visit no matter the duration of stay. Friendly faces and great service. Your breakfast staff especially are wonderful with setting up a great Cappuccino to start the day just right! Great place to stay.

Unfortunately when many staff make you feel welcome one person by the name of Solomon I recall unwinds it for all the good plus my longstanding dispute on rewards with this hotel since Feb 2019 leaves a sour taste. When i asked Solomon to assist in contacting a sister hotel to resolve a booking error on my part he was quiet adament that he wouldnt and when I sated that for me that pertained to poor service he got emotional and blurted out that I was directing that he was dismal to which it took me many joules to clarify that I dont play the man but rather the ball and he needs to accept that the service is dismal when your client is unhappy and left to fend for themselves. Hopeful your good brand doesnt have many Solomon responses . Other wise all was good

Amazing place to stay... The key attraction is the location. Even the local sight seeing bus and the pickup point is just at the walking distance. The rooms are awesome, and so is the service, moreover the food is also sumptuous. The hotel not only offers variety of food and cuisines but also the taste is amazing.

I find that everywhere I go people who are supposed to serve/help you , try to do as little as possible and are sometimes just rude. NOT so at this hotel . If one thing stands out in a very enjoyable visit to me , it was that literally all the hotel staff we came into contact with went out of their way to be helpfull , friendly and extremely courteous. What a wonderfull difference. I shall certainly visit it again and can highly recommend it

The restaurant is terrible, I mean the food and the service. The people working there are nice and try to do their best but it is clear that they have not been trained correctly. One night I ordered the same thing twice because the first waiter that took my order to disappeared so I had to call a second waiter. The breakfast is of poor quality and when I ordered Salmon and an appetizer for dinner the taste was pretty bad. I have stayed in that hotel for the last 5 to 7 year and I can see that everything is getting worse every year. I guess that the hotel is saving money by hiring cheap labor, but I think that many guests are going to stop returning there.

Customer experience could be better, Had extremes of staff that was present and helpful and some that were just nonchalant about difficulties experiences. Staff at 1st floor were hardly there to welcome guests. Would be good to ensure someone receives the guests especially first time guests. Allow for more ventilation in the room apart from air conditioning please.

Located at the heart of Rosebank and in the mall, this place is surprisingly quiet and has very awesome facility that is well kept with great room service.The velvet restaurant in-house serves nice local and continental cuisines and are delicious.The staff are very friendly and courteous.My only challenge though is that whenever you call from your room it takes too long for calls to be answered by the front desk and room service etc. As a customer service advocate that is not so cool and needs improvement.

Stayed for 4 nights in Feb 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very good location above the Gautrain station for ease of getting to and from the airport quickly.The hotel staff across the board were friendly and helpful and provided great service especially each morning at breakfast. The buffet spread each morning was very diverse, good quality and provided good options for all types of dietary needs.Bedroom was very comfortable, clean and contained all the requisite bits and bobs you would expect and we had 4 very peaceful nights sleep.The room was cleaned and made up each day to our satisfaction. An added bonus was the hotel linked by a lift to the adjacent Mall with shops, cafes in a food court, banks and ATMs and supermarkets etc.Would recommend for anyone staying in Joburg.

Stayed at this hotel for three weeks on business based on a prior shorter trip to check out the hotel and area.I found the hotel particularly well suited for a business traveller, with a secure underground car park below the hotel, entry from the hotel directly to a shopping mall, in a secure/safe/vibrant area for restaurants with a wide selection to choose from and a good restaurant and bar in the hotel.Standard amenities I would look for on business were available (free WiFi, on site restaurant/bar with room service option, air con, same day laundry service, secure parking, in room mini-safe, in room mini fridge with water but only stocked as mini bar on request, otherwise free to use as a fridge for own purchased items).Throughout the stay, the staff in all areas were excellent, responding quickly and politely to all requests and even acting on minor issues before I requested them, an example being when I accidentally pulled the curtains in my room off one of the runners. It was noticed and repaired before I got back to my room, having forgotten to report it after breakfast in my rush to the office.Breakfast was great, with a wide selection including cooked to order eggs/omelettes. It did get very busy at peak times during week days but the self service items were kept well stocked.Beds were comfortable and came with a choice of soft or firm pillows.Security was a prime concern for me as a new visitor to the area and travelling with several colleagues but the location was great. Theres a Gautrain station a short distance from the hotel which some of my colleagues used from the airport (noting if you use this, you have to change trains at Sandton). The car park underneath the hotel was exclusively for hotel guests and had security personnel patrolling and at the entrance. Main entrance to the hotel also had security staff present, while the mall entrance to the hotel needed your room keycard to open. The area had a lot of security staff and was vibrant, with lots of people using the restaurants/malls in the area, perfectly safe to walk around on your own and clearly a popular area for eating out.Laundry service worked well, with items returned same day on hanger and identifying tags placed in a way that didnt damage the clothes, which was appreciated.WiFi service worked well most of the time and the two times I had issues connecting to the service, I spoke with the front desk and they helped me to get connected within minutes (connectivity critical when travelling on business).Would recommend a room at the back of the hotel for light sleepers as traffic starts pretty early at the front of the hotel and is quite noisy, given it is a busy road. Im able to sleep through anything and it didnt bother me but one of my colleagues found the traffic noise woke him up early.Will be my choice of hotel when I return to the area in the future.

Nice hotel with good location. The Gautrain station is a stone throw away, but coming from the airport you have to change in Sandton. If you have a lot of luggage, not comfortable. With four people, you can find a taxi for the same price as the train.The staff was of OK. Very friendly and very helpful was the lady named Talia.We had dinner in the hotel. Good food but the water curtain makes you think you are sitting next to a dishwasher. There are more pleasant dinner options in the shopping area, though more of fast food quality. The buffet breakfast in the hotel is really super and almost as good as an Intercontinental.There are enough shops next to the hotel to keep you busy for days and there is an African Crafts Center next door. To explore JHB, the hotel desk helped us to get to the Apartheidsmuseum and Soweto at a very reasonable price.The small swimming pool is nice on a hot day (and there are many hot days in JHB in summer).In general a Holiday Inn of at least Crown Plaza quality.

I found the frontline staff absolutely unfriendly and on 3 occasions I went to reception to find NOONE there and noone to explain where the staff went or get someone to help me. Their only job seems to be charging guests extra for whatever they want to. For the rates they charge, I will never recommend and will probably never come back. Advice: Put staff at your reception that are much more efficient, friendly and deal with any gender guests on an equal level. Also if you have the city view rooms its not soundproof so prepare to be disturbed by every car and every loud conversation that happens below on the very busy road.

Holiday Inn Rosebank is amazingly located just outside the Rosebank Gautrain station and the Rosebank Mall. Many options for eating and shopping. Staff are super nice and they really care for you as a guest. Special thanks to Lerato from the Front Desk. She was there always with a smile and she was very helpful. The room was fine but the bathroom design is not too convenient. When showering, all the floor gets wet (really wet) to the point that the cloth provided for the floor is soaked and never gets dry. Also, the bathroom door is made of glass with no lock (privacy zero? - I was travelling alone, so it was ok, but imagine if travelling with friends/family?). Wifi was very weak. Other than that, it’s a good option to stay in green Jozi!

I love staying at this hotel which I do annually. Its easily accessible from Tambo airport via the Gautrain. The location is ideal as its connected with the Rosebank Mall which has three grocery stores, many restaurants, and other shops. An added bonus was the new treadmills that have been installed in the Fitness Center.

This hotel has a fantastic location near the train station and Rosebank mall. The decor is modern and clean, and the rooms are comfortable. Our room also had a nice view of the city hills--was great to wake up to! Overall highly recommend and would love to stay here again in the future.

Hotel is very central to all amenities. Staff are extremely polite and always willing to go the extra mile. Being welcomed with such beautiful smiles, makes one feel very much at home. The food is of a high standard and rooms very comfortable - quality of the television sets need to however be looked at.

Not worth the price. Location is nice and felt safe. Food and bar service is nice. Staff some friendly some not. They have baggage holding service. Airport transfer is ridiculous price. Uber is half the price! Room is tiny and uncomfortable for 2 people. Bathroom doors are see through right to the toilet so you can watch your travelmate use the toilet! Bathroom is tiny. Poor water pressure and shower soaks the entire small bathroom.

Check in staff always friendly and able to assist. Rooms while comfortable are beginning to age, I had a silly issue with the plug points which required next level dexterity to plug my iPhone charger in a way that it charged. Also the aircon made a rattling noise that was enough to feel like a nudge whilst asleep.

The Holiday Inn Rosebank is amongst a few preferred vendors for travel at our company. However, after the most superior service during all my stays, it has become the most preferred hotel by myself and my colleagues. Staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The hotel is clean, safe and extremely peaceful after a long day.I enjoyed every stay that I have had ( and there were many this year).Thanks to such a great group of people who took extra care of me even when I was ill.Highly recommended !!!Well Done !

This place was our last spot back from our safari. Boy did we need it. Comfy bed, hot shower, and good service. We ate at there restaurant. Food was good. The location was fantastic so close to local bars and restaurants. Very central, excellent stay

I stayed a couple of times at this Hotel and I found tit good and satisfied by the service provided. The front desk staff are very welcoming and assist at any time I need something. The reward Clud membership is wel recognised and considered valuable.The only thing I recomend to be improved is the internet connectivity. As I was traveling for business, I really was in need of intenet for evening work which should be submited and presented for next day morning meeting. The internet speed was very low and sometimes not available ( Very intermitent internet service in the room)

Everything about my stay was very pleasant and memorable. Breakfast was very sumptuous, rich and full of variety. The staff were nice, smiling and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable, exactly as advertised online, the WiFi worked well, though you have to log in sometimes to get connected. Everyone at the Front desk, Restaurant and Kitchen were great! Katlego our server was amazing. She had the greatest smile to start our long day. Breakfast was delicious! The bell service staff was very nice.The rooms were nice and clean. The security gentleman was very helpful. I have stayed at this hotel periodically because of the proximity to the mall, since July last year.I have been staying for over 100 nights in the last 8 months.I am now considering to move to another hotel, because the service of some staff members is really below any standard!I have experience better services in hostels for 10 USD when I was a student...When I noticed that the address on my invoice was incorrect. I called from my home country to the frontdesk. A lady called something like Noxolo, said because I checked out already, they cannot adjust my invoice. It was not the first time I spoke to this woman who would create all kinds of self-invented excuses in order not to help me!When I insisted on being transferred to the Adm department, I heard from a certain Shiwe, that she will correct the invoice and send it to me. That never happened. It was also not the first time that I spoke to this Shiwe about incorrect addresses on my invoices. Consistently, this lady would ignore me.Again, not all employees are that bad, but some are really offering less service than in a hostel...I am happy in Crown Plaza during right now.

The hotel is excellent and the Deputy Manager did everything he could to help to make the stay go well. Unfortunately my welcome points weren’t added and it has come up as a non qualifying stay which now means I have to submit a claim. The service is better than the back of house operation.

Perfect, excellent, conditions of the hotel, service given by all members of staff, including those that are not always seen.It was evident that the hotel is well managed and the staff are happy. This makes conditions for the customer to be well cared for.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I have been coming to this hotel for several years. I really enjoy my stays there! The fact that the hotel is in a great location in regards to being not to far away from downtown and connected to malls are added benefits. Most importantly the staff is wonderful! They are the reason I keep coming back!

1. Had a booking and at 16:00 was told no rooms available as rooms aren’t cleaned even though checkout is at 11:00 - waited around for another 20 minutes while constantly pressuring them for our room.2. Room was neat and clean, well made up.3. Ten minutes after we were in our room a staff member came barging into our room without knocking or announcing - presumably to find out whether the room was cleaned properly.4. Breakfast buffet poorly stocked - two plates available, no scrambled eggs or cheese - no one ensuring food didn’t run out - had to ask about eggs and cheese before anything was done.5. The pillows in the room - worst ever...

A very nice hotel situated in rosebank by the zone shopping mall. The service is very welcoming. The service desk is open 24 hours and you can check in at anytime . Theres a nice restaurant here and a bar where you can have a nice drink to cool down.The rooms are spacious and all the amenities are there. The rooms are cleaned very well.I am glad I booked here and can recommend it .

I had a great time at the Holiday Inn that is conveniently placed next to both the Gautrain station and the Rozebank Zone to get easy take outs and pharmacy extras. The view is nice from the top floor and the food is amazing. The staff did well with getting to know me. My regular drinks were known to them and they served with a smile without me having to ask. It is a perfect place for both business and pleasure.

Staff is what makes all the difference. They are simply incredibly attentive and kind. Location is exceptional, connected to the Gautrain station, connected to a mall with good restaurants. Sleep was good as well and the breakfast was not lacking healthy options. This is my place of choice when visiting Joburg. Particularly great is the much lower price than the adjacent, bigger name hotel, altough level of service is the same.

I have stayed at this hotel on more than a dozen occasions since it opened and have completed numerous review questionnaires, so I am not going into too much detail. It is sufficient to say that Zuki is surely one of the best managers in the employment of Holiday Inn - if he moves, I need to know where he is going so that I can change hotels! The staff are fabulous. I see the same faces every visit, which suggests low staff turnover and high levels of staff satisfaction. Great service attests to this. This is an excellent, economical and conveniently located hotel to which I am sure I will return frequently in the future.

Located next to Rosebank Mall, this property has an excellent safe location. Maintenance of the rooms needs to be improved. Beds are comfortable, but A/C placement will quickly result in a head cold if not carefully adjusted. Food at the hotel restaurant also needs to be improved. Overall a good value, but be sure to wear your night cap!

I loved my stay here. Lovely room arrangement and spacious. Staff are really friendly and respond to requests promptly.

Comfortable bed, caring staff, and good Covid protocols

Its a cozy place..nice rooms , small however looks clean to me. shower is quite good. i love thier beds and pillows as they always have option if soft and hard.the reception view is just awesome..as its the beginning of summer all you can see is beautiful trees with purple flowers.check in and entrance is not on the same level..you have to take elevator to go up and down with your luggage.over all happy holiday inn

Again most likely the best hotel I have ever stayed in, I loved the idea of 2 soft pillows and 2 hard pillows. The bathroom layout is ideal and the shower is exceptional for a hotel.The hotel is also happy to give you free toiletries that you might have forgotten like a comb or a tooth brushThere is so much to love about this place I cant write it all down but I would definitely stay here again

We really enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn. The hotel is very well taken care of and has an awesome location. It has many modern touches, and our room was very clean. Although we greatly enjoyed the hotel bar (Ive even tried replicating the Ginger Square drink back here at home) the only problem was a couple of times a bartender tried overcharging us, presumably because were foreign tourists. So if you go the bar be aware, but that only happened with 1 bartender and not the rest. Other than that this place was great and I felt very safe. Top notch location attached to the malls. Would visit again if I return to the city.

Hotel looks nice, staff was pleasant, and room was comfortable. Good location and convenient to train for travel. Parking fee is very reasonable. Overall good value for the price. BUT, wifi is VERY VERY slow. From reading past reviews, this was supposed to be improved service but if so, they need to do ALOT more improving. Takes close to 1 minute to load a standard web page. Also, can only connect one device at a time. Thank goodness I was traveling alone. With family it would have been an even worse experience. Even so, disconnecting from computer to sign into iPhone or vice versa required 30 min to hour break as system would say I was still logged in. Beyond that, if you plan to use gym know that you can apparently only use once/day and you have to go to front desk every time, wait in line, get a special key made, then return it after working out. What a pain in rear. Why they cant just do what 99% of hotels do and code your room key for 24/7 access, I will never understand. All in all, probably would not stay here again. Would only recommend to others if not planning to use wifi or gym.

After a disappointing check in at another hotel, it was nice to be received by friendly front desk staff. I dont know why I ever book anywhere else. The Holiday Inn never disappoints. Lovely clean room. Friendly Staff. Great Location.

Reception by staff awesomely amazing. Great place to sleep and the chef cooks just what you like. Thanks for the warm experience. I recommend their sea food basket starter for ant.

Front desk staff are always awesome, friendly and helpful. The lady checking me in switched my room when I wasn’t happy with one I was allocated. Can the chef do something about the menu please. Rooms USB ports hardly work have learnt to ensure I pack adapter now. One more think the team working at breakfast please stop clearing our food while we are still busy the least you can do is ask if I’m done this includes the hotel MD when he’s helping out this is so annoying. You get up to go get more food you come back your plate/bowl is gone with your cutlery. Makes sense when plate is empty but when there is still something on the place don’t touch our plates....

Aside from the excellent service and comfortable room, I particularly enjoyed the proximity to the art galleries, the very good nearby restaurants, excellent mall with great shopping, and the safety of the neighborhood. I felt safe to venture out on my own--a big plus in Johannesburg--and really enjoyed all the amenities of the great location, including the train station to the airport across the street.

Brilliant Hotel with great service. Location fantastic. Walking distance from all business needs.Definitely first choice for trips to Johannesburg
