Nice cosy place. Friendly staff. Nice wifi.Coffee was nice. Much better than many other places I have tasted. Food was nice too.Certainly will visit again. Though only two tables outside and not sure how busy it can get.I wish they had menu on the table and take the order from the table than counter!

Found this little gem on a recent walk about. Eccentric and the coffee, yes - the barista latched onto my sense of humour, yes the coffee was amazing and the best part was sitting on the side walk taking in the scene, the hustle and bustle. In the pick below, what has become a favourite, an almond milk cortado, double shot espresso. Coffee came to my rescue in a time when seeing the trees from the woods was difficult. The coming together of people through coffee is what drives me, to experience and provide the same to others I encounter. Good on you Loof Coffee, see y’all soon

Ordered gnache hot chocolate via delivery. What we received was watered down regular hot chocolate. Not impressed.

Love it here. Has a real authentic feel to it. Not just in the decor but in the crowds that attend regularly, the staff and the owner who is often around.The coffee here is top notch. I regularly see the owner training the staff and making them more aware of not just what theyre doing, but why and explaining the coffee and the experience.Really recommend. Also a great place for a third office. Good WiFi, lots of seating and places to plug in.

Coffee here is no big deal but pricey. I pay R27 at Woolies (with reward) with bigger size and true double shots. Staff are friendly but they seemed confused when it comes to skinny Vs full cream milk orders. Good they open early. Hot chocolate sucks and taste like chocolate milk rather. Never ordered any food because its not Halaal so I cant judge it. If they:(1) supply fresh and good quality coffee;(2) consider Halaal or Kosher options;(3) Drop the small cup price to under R26.I would give 4 stars.

It was by chance me and a friend stumbled upon this gem in Norwood. It is seriously quaint, fully authentic and buzzing with activity.We both ordered a Spanish Latte that was unbelievably sweet and straight up delicious. With the added condensed milk it may be too sweet for some but if your not a sweet tooth like me its a real treat.We didnt have time to eat but they cater to sit down or on the run moments with a grab and go section boasting a wide variety of wholesome goodies.I would love to go back and try their food to make it a 5 star experience.

Authentic space with incredible coffee!It’s got all the charm you’d hope for, incredible baristas and service and a real vibe about it. Parking sucks but it’s well worth hacking.Food options are limited. Lots of healthy juices and shots though.

For best coffee and relaxation

I didnt know what to say so we just left... The waiter (??) came to inform us that we can go order food from the counter, walk around, and pick it up on the other side. Thus eliminating his role in this interaction. Its all fine and well if that is this particular establishments preferred protocol, but you cant hang the menu the wall, insist on self service, and then present me with a useless waiter to tip. Those two things dont go together...

Were lucky enough to live a quick walk away from Loof and visit almost daily for coffee, an incredible Shakshuka and today - complimentary bubble waffles. What a treat of a place!

Delicious meals served in a cozy atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to endure our sizeable group was well taken care of.

A relaxed little coffee shop with a unique layout. We really enjoyed saying hello to all the other customers dogs that can sit with you outside. Coffee was good and the Rollo hot chocolate was brilliant.

Cant start our day without a Loof coffee!

Its a lovely little place with good coffee and food. However,as many people come here to work and often have laptops and earphones the staff are extremely insensitive to noise levels playing very loud and intrusive music with heavy beats that forces its way through your headphones and ruins the chilled vibe.

Nice location, good coffee, they have oak ja oat milk so thats a bonus, a lot of other milk substitutes too

Great coffee and fun stop to meet someone for a quick catch up. Its a bit rustic in terms of the interior; loose wires hanging about and a broken through doorway has simply been painted over. Dont go for the food or the service, they tend to disappoint. But go for the coffee, and focus on the person who came with you because nothing else will entertain your face.

Really cute coffee nook. If I stayed closer this would be a regular. Great coffee. I also had avo on toast. All yum. The goods in the fridges looked great too.

Help yourself from the fridge, order at the counter. Much like an Italian style cafe. You can just relax and enjoy a good visit with a friend.

A quaint little coffee shop in the heart of Norwood. They are open from early making it the perfect place to catch a quick cup of coffee on the way to work. They also have very creative sit in facilities where you can sit in and catch up with friends.Their coffee blend is of a high quality and they have some very interesting drinks as well as foods on their menu which I would highly suggest you try.

Terrible service! I stop to have coffee at loof every morning as it’s on my route to work and my family and I have always enjoyed their beverages. The service and quality have slowly been deteriorating but it’s been overlooked. This morning after waiting 15 minutes and asking the owner/manager , I was accused of not paying. What a great way to treat customers. Cheers

Loof has excellent service, the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a very comfortable experience being there. The seating is arranged nicely, but the coffee shop is small so there isnt much place to sit so large groups of people cannot come at once. The menu isnt well displayed, but the coffee and other beverages is on point

I found Loof while looking on Google for a coffee shop in the area. I wasnt quite sure what to expect but it didnt really match what I was expecting from the online reviews and pictures etc. There was nothing wrong with the place. It is quite rustic. Coffee was decent, service was ok. Interesting mix of patrons from students to families to retirees.Didnt try anything to eat here.

I only frequent two coffee shops in Joburg and Loof is one of them. I always enjoy efficient and friendly service and almost always great coffee (and I have high coffee standards).My only downside is that the coffee is slightly higher priced than average shops and the pastries are not as varied as Id like.

Great little coffee shop in Norwood. Laid back atmosphere with fantastic coffee and food. I had a macchiato which was rich and sweet. Food was also very tasty and fresh. Also picked up some coffee beans which are sold in the shop.

One of the best coffee spots in Joburg.One of the few places to grab a coconut milk and macadamia milk cappuccino, as well as aome light and filling delicious vegan options, even a fair selection of kombucha. Great selection overall and the staff are awesome.

Great little coffee shop in the heart of Norwood. Good for take away coffee or for a sit down and chat. This is also a good spot to sit and work with decent WiFi and lots of plug points and tables. I usually have an Americano, a cappuccino or a hot chocolate - all are really good. Ive never eaten here but Ive seen plenty of people eat around me and the food looks tasty. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well.

Id drive out from almost anywhere just to have Loof Coffee.... one of the best and most consistent Coffees you will find in Town...

Great playlist and friendly vibe! Wifi makes it a good place to work from, and you have many people with their laptop. Some seats outside on the street to enjoy some Sun. Not many healthy food options.
