What a waste of time. Employees are busy on their phones while customers wait. No managment available. No wonder we are where we are.

Smart offices, slow delivery

They are VERY SLOW, waited for almost 5 hours in the queue starting from their basement.

They make promises but never follow through so you queue every time with no resolution to your billing issue.

* The Call Centre doesnt seem to take calls. Can the municipality please hire (more) call centre agents, as there seems to be a capacity issue.* Email requests are not being responded to. Same as above.* Agents at the muni offices seem not to understand the correlation between rate payer and municipal income. If refuse can be collected , manning a call centre or offering service at kiosks shouldnt be difficult.

Everywhere in the world people get paid to do a job, in this place, it takes copious amounts of effort and encouragement to get them to do what they get paid for.

Walked in to settle my rates and taxes account and also get some information on another matter. The people behind the General Enquiries counter acted like they were doing any of us customers a favor. Twice on two different kiosks I was told they hadnt called me therefore I had to sit in the queue and wait to be called.Better still the time I walked in one lady was busy taking selfies (I could be wrong), one was helping out a client, two others sitting on one station helping out a client and yet two more again sitting on one station: the one drinking tea or coffee and just looking at me until the queue had gotten to about 5 people behind me.The lady who came after me went to enquire something and was told to sit down in the queue. And then it was my turn to be rudely told I wasnt called by two different agents on two different stations. My crime: wanting to settle my rates account. Awesome.

The operating time on the web do not apply to the staff. Its all good that the doors stay open till closing but the staff will not serve you as they already have one foot out the door 15min before they close. So go early to avoid disappointment and frustration.

Get here well before ten for reduced queues. Thursdays seem to be good days. That said the service is generally useless. You have no choice though, if you have problems with your accounts youll have to address them. Definitely bring a book or music or something to occupy your time. If you walk in and there is a large queue dont bother, come another time. Even if youre prepared to wait the whole day. Additionally, the call centre is surprisingly good but only for small issues and queries otherwise youll be sent to do things in person.
