Loved my waitress.... Perfect ambience for coffee and cake, yet it offers so much more.... Food is okay

This little place serves delicious waffles.

Worst pancake and freezo experience of my life. Would not recommend at all. Burnt pancake and cinnamon one so so dry..caramel sauce camo for a burnt pancake..scared to try the Belgian waffles

Lovely food. Even a clearly new waiter was polite and friendly and deserved a good tip.

Cafe Nes is sometimes fantastic...other times pathetic. Pity as its in such a good spot.

This is a quiet coffee shop in the area. They have a fairly extensive menu and reasonably priced options available to suit all pocketsPortion sizes fit the prices but is still good considering the prices they charge.Attention to detail is somewhat lacking and that turned this into an average visit

The initial service is friendly and helpful, but after you are seated you need to catch the waiters attention.They serve good quality coffee.I recommend wiping the menus every now and then as it is not very appetizing to choose a meal from a dirty menu.Cafe Nes is ideally located and can most certainly expand their client base if more care is shown.

I had been intending to visit Home Affairs in Roodepoort and got there at 7am. Unfortunately, they had experienced a break-in during the night and so expected to be closed for the rest of the week. (my boss would expect me to work out of my car).I arrived at Nes just as they were opening at 7.30am. The staff and manager were great ensuring that I was comfortable and apologising for the slow service.The breakfast and three cups of coffee were very good, so I can recommend them for good food and friendly service.

Very cozy coffee shop in a quiet corner next to Woolworths. The food is decent for the price and the shop is never overcrowded. My experience with their service has been very good. They have inside and outside seating.

Service sucked no staff on floor waited forever for some to serve us. No management is sight. Will never visit again. The star is for being seated.

Disastrous. Waiter service is friendly but the kitchen and bar are dead slow. We waited a LONG time for our drinks and food (nearly an hour for two breakfasts!) in a quiet restaurant. Ordered Earl Grey tea and was served mint tea, eventually had to settle for plain Five Roses. Dirty coffee cups sent back. Coffee is good but meals arrived incomplete and half uncooked. Terrible doesnt even begin to describe our experience. Not a place well ever come back to.

Very good quick breakfast and tea the young waitresses service with a smile very pleasant. More attention must be given to some seating and some decent green plants would make it that much more attractive!

The Most Horrible Food Ever!! The Bar Lady has no sort of any respect and no manner of approach..I couldn’t even stop vomiting cause of the food..I will never set a foot in that place again in my life and I advise anyone who wants to go buy anything there to give it a second though cause it’s not worth it

What a disapointing experience No cakes or waffles available although it is on the menu Ended op ordering flapjacks, maple(?) syrup, berry coulis and ice cream Got apricot jam instead of berry coulis (surprise they dont have) and cream instead of ice cream I asked cream to be changed to ice cream and got my ice cream in a chipped and cracked bowl It took 25min to be served my flapjacks whilst at that stage there was only 6customers and I had to request my refill coffee 3 times! Asked to speak to owner ALSO not available and doesnt come to the shop often

The waitress Jackie is really worth requesting. She truly is an asset to the Cafe. She has a knowledge of the menu as well as makes it a very pleasant dining experience.

The staff is friendly and attentive. You have to change your drink order two or three times because half of the stuff on the menu is not in stock. You wait way too long to receive your food after you placed the order. The milkshake was more milk than ice cream. If you order a slice of chocolate cake you get a piece of stale cake thats been reheated to the point where the icing melts off. The classic alfredo as shown on the menu has been changed unrecognisable to a complete new pasta dish, lacking flavour, as it contains none of the ingredients found in a classic alfredo. Overall not a cafe I will be returning to.

Theyre service was a bit slow and they got my order wrong, which resulted in us whmaiting quite a while. But when I eventually did get my order, the food was top quality.

Don’t waste your time and money to go here. They are very slow with the service and the food is dry and tasteless. You also don’t get exactly what you’ve ordered. The manager is also not visible and “is busy”.

Worst service Ive experienced in ages. With little attention to the food, clear poor management, and food arriving an hour after the order placed, a definite future boycott to be for sure. Sad really as I was used to way better service and food.
