Clean and inviting. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Huge variety of meat and reasonably priced. We will certainly be back.

Probably the highest quality meat you will come across. The quality does demand an acceptable premium, but its worth it. My partner has never once gotten heart burn from their meat. Highly recommend trying the lamb/chilli droë worse

Surely no better place for meat. HAVE to mention mango chutney and the amazingly delicious salad dressing that doubles as a marinade. A MUST stop and shop people....

If 10 stars were available it would be yours, literally lightning fast service, 67 minutes was the total time spent from order to delivery at my door, o, and the meat is superb by the way. If you have not heard of or tried CM I suggest you try them for unmatched all round service.....O, and their meat is pretty darn good

Probably the best local butchery in Lonehill! Great selection and quality. You can also select your meat and they will grill it for you on the spot, while you relax looking out over the small dam onto Lonehill koppie.

Great value for money, bonus now is that they have their liquor license. Good service and excellent food. not my first visit and wont be my last for sure

Pretty clean butcher has all the meat you need but not everything as it has a limited space. Stuff are not very helpful and the prices a bit on the higher end even compared to Woolworths.

Nice and clean shop. You get good value for money if you buy the specials (though prices are still on the high end of the special range). For the rest, Northern suburb prices apply. Will I go back? Yes. But you have to PriceCheck.

I ordered the Shisa Nyama package and it was flipping good!!!! No burnt pieces(thank goodness)lol, cooked to perfection. I loved the salads that came with it. Mind you it was my first time ordering from yol and I was abit worried... but ey, my man and I enjoyed the meat. The service was excellent. When I called the gentleman(Owen), he was very helpful with how one can order. Thank you. I will definitely be a regular customer.

Helpful staff. Country meat ships meat from their own farms to their own abattoir. Prices are very competitive. All the meat is really well presented. Recommended for your meat shopping.

Bought a sirloin roast today from this butchery, it was marked as mature but honestly the meat was off, it has an awful smell, we braaied half of it hoping it would just be the mature mark it carried but the meat is 100% off. Would not recommend

Bought some of their in-house wagyu beef and it was by far the best wagyu Ive had in JHB this far. Quality was exceptional. Customer service is obviously important to them, which Ive experienced from direct responses to social media posts and private messages. You can expect good quality meat and a personalized service, where they actually take an interest in you, as an individual customer. 5 stars are more than deserved here, best butchery service Ive ever received.

My wife and i had the wagyu burgers at the restaurant at the back. slightly pricey, but oh boy, were they good. we then bought the wagyu patties to fry up at home when they were on special. i fried them up a bit too well done, but they were still juicy, soft and we agreed that they were the best burgers weve ever had at home (just finished eating them now, but we were too hungry to pause for photos first).

The meat was over the TOP!! Top Quality meat, service was great and what a meal. Im a farmer, and I specialize with beef and lamb. The meat I was eating at Country Meat was most definitely A grade, and I was so full I had to ask for a take away :)

I am very dissapointed I drive all the way there ovet 40km.because you advertisr yourself as halaal just to get therr and get told you not halaal update your advertisement it is really misrepresentation surely it id not fair to muslim people who take the time.and effort to.drive so far and then your are misrepresenting yourself as a laywer I am.sure I can pursue the matter.

The butcher told us that the chickens were free range and were grain and antibiotic free. This is not so the chickens are from Tulani farm; they are indeed grain fed and 15 chickens are confined to one square meter - their version of free range. They also claim that their Wagyu beef is imported from Japan with no antibiotics and mostly grass fed? The meat was tasty but not sure of the origins. The farmers in South Africa import embryos to raise?

Great meat and product range. Meat lovers paradise. Cashiers are not concerned about customers though, worth putting up with their slow/ no interest attitude, for the quality of meat.

Used to be my favorite butchery but gone downhill over the last year. Since their restructuring into restaurant/butchery, seems like they are very don’t do either well. Food quality has gone down (had several things gone off way earlier than expiry), never see friendly management around anymore and seem short staff (only one checkout clerk) so long queues.

Nowhere near as nice as the old Epsom Downs one. Selection of meats and other products is much smaller, biltong was full of mould and general store atmosphere and service levels are lacking.

Butcher: the butchery always has a great selection, good quality and fair pricing. Service is excellent and if something is not on the shelf or in the cooler, the staff is happy to prepare most on the spot.
