Great way to see the city, just be mindful of the locals who wear their masks beneath their noses and come on board with their take away food which they consume throughout the journey. In addition, Better when the bus is half full, as opposed to having someone sitting with smelling distance.

I did the 2 day tour with the Soweto extension and the hotel shuttle. From the first driver to the last, everyone was courteous and friendly, some drivers were very funny (like the shuttle driver named German). The Soweto guide was there to help navigate the social obstacles and he was full of interesting facts. Overall it was a convenient, safe, fun, friendly, clean, informative way to enjoy all of the highlights of Johannesburg.

Very nice busses, thr audio guide is pretty well made, and the route will give you a pretty general image of all johannesburg. Try start early in the morning because if not you probably wont have enough time to get of at more than 1 or 2 stops.Tip: check the back of your ticket for discounts in some stops. Constitution hill tour has a 25% off which i missed because i only saw this afterwards.Dont plan to get off at gold reef city because its for a full day, so you probably wont enjoy it as much.

Really convenient way to see some parts of the city and surrounds. Personally I didnt think that there was a lot worth getting off of the bus and doing but if you have kids and/or have never been to Johannesburg before you will probably find some of the stops interesting. I think the best bit was the Soweto tour which although very brief, (about 2 hours if you dont want to stop at any of the attractions) is one of the cheapest tours of Soweto that you can do so I would recommend it if you just want to quickly see the main sites of Soweto.

The Sightseeing bus is a cool and safe way to explore some of the major sights of the city.It runs frequently and the schedule is reliable, which also means that you have to be on time at the stops 😙.We took the Soweto tour and although our guides werent as nice or charismatic as for some of the other reviewers, it was a great opportunity to get a quick glance into this troubled but beautiful town.I found it to be rather rushed though, so if you have some extra hours, its better to take a dedicated tour.

Super park with awesome views with a dam, tennis courts and play areas for kids. Lots of grassy areas to picnic or relax. Great way to cover some of the best sights Joburg has. Were really not a touristy city so the bus does a good job with limited resources! I love the entertaining and appropriately gritty commentary. The Apartheid Museum is a must-see and Carlton Centre has excellent views, tho the viewing info there needs refreshing and its cafe has closed. If you want to admire the view from the Carlton Centre properly, skip one bus and get the next an hour later.

Mpho (at the Gold Reef office remembered me from my visit in 2017); Narrie (Soweto guide going); Niphopp (Soweto guide return); Mpho (return driver) and Pastor (big bus driver which I’m not sure if that is his real name, but the other staff member were calling him that).
