Wow massive mall. So clean and well looked after. Loved all the shoe shops. Insane selection of shoes. Very friendly and helpful shop owners. Loads of parking. Benches to sit on and have a snack from the food vendors when you need a rest from shopping.

U just need some time in ur hands to really look around. U can get lost in the plaza. Looking at there beautiful fabric shops. Clothing galore. Haberdashery. Food places. Samoosas,samoosas delicious 😋The upstairs restaurant is very comfortable and cozy. Scrumptious food....I could go on and on.

Great place to find Eastern wear for kids and adults, they also have many shops selling linen and homewares, a one stop shop for everything and affordable too. Yummy Bunny chows at Golden Peacock restaurant/take away after shopping is a nice treat!

If you have never been to the Plaza you havent truly experienced Johannesburg. Get there early and browse around. Its my go to place for suits. I found my wedding suit in one shop tucked at the back after almost giving up. I was made to feel like part of the family and they were excited for our wedding. Its a pity they no longer exist. When you are done, visit World of Samoosas for something to eat. You will not regret it

As a once-off customer who doesnt know the business hours I was surprised that shops dont display their opening times. When I eventually got to visit the stores Id wanted to, it was business as usual - some good deals, some iffish questionable quality, and some great products. A few of the stores WILL NOT pass muster when the fire department visits the centre. No chance that there are occupation certificates or fire clearances for some of the stores.Food offerings are good.

Great shopping place for affordable home and personal stuff. One of the best places for curtaining and wedding stuff. Place wasnt congested at all but I observed that in most shops people walked in without sanitizing and neither owner nor worker was bothered. Its best for one to carry their own sanitizer. The ablution facilities are excellent and kept very clean. Thank you to the ladies in charge.

Absolutely love the Oriental Plaza, I always find what I am looking for and always leave with way more purchases than what I originally go for! Prices are generally reasonable and there are opportunities to bargain here and and there but on the whole the Oriental Plaza is definitely a great place to shop and support local businesses.

The largest haberdashery selection on offer. Literally anything you may need is available. They are open on Sundays for the Christmas season and the free parking for the day is a pleasant surprise.

The thing that makes this mall any different to other China Malls, is the family run Auto Accessory place outside (on the very left looking at the portico). What nice people! They speak Engrish well, are pleasant and helpful. With the husband (and the wife to a surprising degree) very knowledgeable. Its the only reason I go there. The inside is the traditional fish market type of set-up of all China Malls. My congrats to the Malls owners for selling space to 2 such wonderful people who are truly global.How sad it is to hear that Chinese citizens like other nationalities are really very scared doing business here. Mandelas dream of a 🌈 nation is very much a Sepia view now. Im ashamed to say, I cant be proud of many things South Africans were renowned for, one of which was our gastvryheid natures. As an individual, I welcome this couple and wish their business well. Go meet them, youll see for yourself.
