As a homebrewer I enjoy NFPs premix especially the Pilsener.

Absolutely the single worst shopping experience of my life!Both owner and staff are arrogant and unwilling to lift a finger to help or accommodate a paying customer.The hoops that you are required to jump through are numerous, this is not a fun or pleasant experience what so ever.Im honestly surprised they dont require you to jump through actual hoops and rings on fire like circus lions.Even after they mess up your order, where you have specifically asked for something in email, they are unwilling to fix the error and offer no apology. You explain that you have travelled over 50km to visit their shop and still they are unwilling to assist you. The response I got was come back tomorrow, Im too busy right now to fix the problemProbably the most hostile and passive aggressive shop owner Ive dealt with, its a pity you cant give less than a single star rating.

They have lost the touch they once had... Hopefully they will pick it up. My last 3 experiences were subpar.. Hope they read these reviews and up their game. Its important to support local if local supports you.

Tried calling...drove through from kempton to the store closed oh no wait online orders only.

Their website state they are open. They do not answer phone calls on either of the two published numbers at all. I drove all the out there (since they state they are open) looking for some products and was told at the door when I enquired about a product; You and everyone else. They refused to assist and said if I wanted anything I can order online, but the waiting list is long and I just have to wait in the queue. Covid-19 is a poor excuse for bad business practice, I was there to spend money.This is NOT how business is done.May they be as successful in the future as my purchase experience with them today.

Travelled from East Rand to Emmerentia only to find out that even though their website said that they were open, they were in fact closed and only taking online orders. Not a good customer experience at all gents. And you must know that I just love brew shops!

Amazing selection of goodies for anyone making their own beer or spirits. They are currently quite busy, but they do their best to get back to customers as quick as they can.

As someone else suggested, they are very arrogant, dont take phone business must be good. I rather spent my money elsewhere. They can keep their kak beer.

COVID cannot be an excuse for bad service. I have ordered online more than a week ago, and have not even received confirmation that they are working on my order.Also, their Google Business Page might say that they are open, but they only take online orders (which arent responded to), I had to find this out when I took the time to drive there

I do not like giving bad reviews, but this whole covid mess is not an excuse for poor service/not replying to emails/store closed during business hours. I really wish that the owners would see this time as an opportunity.

Always willing to help, share knowledge and assist you wherever possible. Dave is very helpful and pricing is very reasonable with a large variety that you can really get into brewing. NFP has come a long way since Alex used to run it over 5 years ago, could not believe the difference.

I have known about this store for years. I went there on a few occasions to purchase cheese cultures and rennet - yes, they stock these too. With the new owners the place has changed beyond recognition. Professional and knowledgeable about beer and wine crafting and cheese making. My only comment (query) that I have is that I wish the store had a more descriptive name!UPDATE : I was there recently (February 2020) and found a notice on the door that due to Load Shedding and problems with the supply of electricity, the shop would be closed until further notice. This is a shame. I have not been back to check if they have reopened.

Amazing and heart warming, they go beyond service !!! So if you want to brew your own beer, produce your own wine, mould your own cheese. This is the place you come to. They have all you need in the shop to get you well on your way. The great thing about them is they have a solution for every budget. I have been to a lot of brewshops and suppliers, here I was given the worst advice and sold any old products. The Staff at National Food Products took the time to listen to my needs, as I needed to use old techniques. They did exactly that and worked out the best stratergy for me to do so. The advice I recieved was flawless and they are happy to take your call and extend advice over the phone in a friendly conversation. My process is working out great and I cant thank them enough !!!
