My go to! A wide selection of popular & hard-to-find African fiction and non-fiction, incredible atmosphere and friendly staff. Wonderful corner in Braamfontein!

I’m growing my collection of African books and this place is a find to help me in that quest. I’ll be visiting here more often to expand my selection. I even saw a copy of Macbeth in Sesotho. Great stuff. On the downside... The shelves along the wall are badly designed. They go almost all the way to the ceiling and I found myself tip-toeing to get a glimpse of the books on the very top shelves. And yes, the staff can always assist but it’s a small aspect of the design that should have been considered.

Worst service ever. I ordered a book that never came. No call, no email to give an update on whats happening. Went instore (twice) and enquired about the book and I was told its coming by the female manager who didnt seem to care about the store. Im more than dissapointed with this store.
