Lovely bookstore with friendly and helpful staff.

This is a fairytale place, one of the last of its kind. I highly recommend a Sunday morning visit.

A good place to come get your weekly fiction fix !

Its a wonderful shop filled with wonderful books. I went in and the shop owner was sitting at the counter. When he saw me he turned his music louder and asked me to listen. It was beautiful and eerie. I felt like the bookstore was magical with all the books and the lovely music

Best second hand or used bookstore. They are based in Victory Park shopping centre.The incredible amount of quality of books is mind blowing. They definately have the edge when it comes to quality of content of books for specialist areas, like spiritual, esoterical, self help, art decor, cooking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Please visit regularly as new books are put out on a daily basis.

I am pleasantly surprised. A few months ago I started looking for some very specific antiquarian childrens books. I left my name and contact details with Tales and Fables. Today I was called. They had received some of the books. I was surprised at how naby they received. The books were also reasonably priced. What excellent service. If youre prepared to wait, Tales and Fables will search and remember you until they get the right books.

Good selection of some older titles. Great staff. Martin is very helpful.

Not well organized and mostly overpriced books. If you are not showing interest in their collectibles you are not treated well. One of the shopkeeper was particularlyunsympathetic. There are several alternatives in Johannesburg where you can satisfy your curiosity in books such as Collectors Treasury.
