I have been working from home, and as such did not need a car anymore so I sold my daily. I then needed something todo grocery runs, and started looking for a bicycle. It met all of my requirements, ie no complicated parts (no gears), cheap to maintain (no hydraulic disc brakes) and durable (steel frame). I was essentially looking for a Dutch omafiets and found exactly that in the bikes that swift cycles manufactures.I dealt with the salesperson who gave me so many options to customise my ride, from colour to kick stand to front and rear baskets to chain guard to more comfortable handle bar. It was like I was choosing options for a new car. I appreciated the one on one attention via email, which is so rare in todays hi-tech world of pushing the maximum amount of Eastern products as fast as possible.The best part is that this is a South African small business instead of a importer or distributer.This will not be my last purchase from swift cycles.
