Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch today! We decided to have a selection of tapas and were not disappointed by any of the selections (stuffed jalapenos, chicken wings, croquettes and potatoe skins). Also really enjoyed the cocktails! The mild discomfort of only having bar stools to sit on up stairs was far outweighed by the lovely view and cool spring breezes of a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Happy to return and sample other offerings on the cocktail and food menu.

My favorite place in Greenside for lazy Sunday afternoon cocktails. They also usually have great drinks specials.

Went for a quick bite-overall was very average. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, polite, but tended to disappear, forcing us to keep getting up to look for her. Don’t stock Sambucca? Food was a let down-jalapeño poppers were way over cooked(to a point where almost tasted burnt) and hard, beef looked nothing like what we expected for the price(or the pics)-thumb size pieces of meat that were not tasty at all. Pepperdew poppers were nice but not quite properly thought out in terms theirs mushy nature. The place was empty and had a functional vibe. Honestly it’s gonna take a lot to convince me to return. Might as well meet somewhere else for drinks.

Great place bar with some very unique decor. Nice and quiet for some Sunday drinks. The place does look small from the front however there is ample room for you and a couple of friends upstairs and at the back.

My partner and I came here to enjoy an afternoon of drinking and good food from this place that comes highly rated. The drinks came with grandiose presentation but what began as a wonderful afternoon from a beautiful restaurant with great service quickly turned sour.I have personally chosen to maintain a vegetarian diet. While I do not expect people to go above and beyond to accommodate my diet, I do hope that the simple things I ask for (that are promised on a set menu) will be provided to me as promised. I ordered the vegetable skewers on the tapas menu (I may not be recalling it by its correct name but the point is, vegetables on a stick). The kitchen took it upon themselves to place my food on the same plate as my partner who does not share my diet. I guess I would have been able to go along with that if the amount of vegetables given to me were more than just the amount that could fit on the palm of my hand.Not only did they do this but they did not include two other vegetables and the ‘marinade’ they promised along with the dish. I obviously relayed this to the waiter and the manager. I refused to pay for my meal. (This is just a warning to other people who maintain ‘special’ diets).I guess I’m leaving this review because a wonderful afternoon was ruined. I lost my appetite because of something so simple. If they had just given me what I was promised I wouldn’t have taken my time to write this review. Call me bitter or overactive. The bottom line is they promised something and didn’t deliver. I won’t be returning.

Nice place to start the weekend, great music, awesome cocktails. Perfect to get you started towards an epic night out. You have to chow down on their tapas and meatballs starter. Only issue was last rounds called at 00:00 On a Friday night 😢. Had to go elsewhere to finish off the night. If only they stayed open till proper closing time would have spent more. Had enough patrons to make it worth while. Very sad

Its a little pricey but other than that its awesome👌🏽 its a nice place to relax and have a drink and the staff are friendly. I will definitely go back. Oh and they have board games.

One dirty olive Martini and one Fresh ;) - both made beautifully and presented with flair. The bar is wonderful and the staff very attentive. We had a lovely time and can highly recommend the potato skins as a little side snack. No wine tastings here and they were a little slow to get back to us from the online message but a great visit and we are sure to be back. Ps check if they have specials on the drinks between 5-7. We only heard about the specials afterwards

The nachos is the best Ive had since 5 years ago and the rock music is a great accompaniment. We also found the service great. It is a nice place to go after a walk at the nearby Botanical Gardens.

Formerly Gin, the revamped space of the Artisan is now quite classy and caters to those individuals who are there for a bit more of a refined experience. Good food and delicious cocktails compliment the establishments revamped facade. An upstairs bar area is perfect for lazy Sunday drinks with mates while overlooking the bustling road below

One of the best finds with such friendly service and a great menu for when you need a bit of a break after work. Highly recommended for friends looking for a hipster and chilled vibe.

My friends and I ordered a full portion of tacos for R95, added mince for R20. We were rather disappointed by the portion size. We are ladies with healthy appetites and the the portion didnt live up to our expectations. However the service is wonderful.

Food is very good however the restaurant does lack atmosphere.

Worst service Ive ever experienced. Decided to give the place a second chance, and received even worse service. Fundamentally incompetent waiters coupled with management who dont care about their customers is a recipe for disaster. The cherry on top is the food tastes as good as the service. Definitely wont be going back.

It took 1.5 hours for our food to arrive, the order was messed up and there was no consistency with the sizing of the burgers. Understaffed but the waiters were lovely

Greenside never disappoints and neither did this place. Great for a lively date and even better for chats and giggles with old friends which is what I did. We had pizza which was delicious, the cocktails were tasty and kept flowing, but most importantly I really liked that they had finger foods like biltong, chicken bites etc to nibble on inbetween, of which not many places do that.

Absolutely delicious burgers, a great selection of craft beers & artisanal cocktails, and for those who arent too hungry a really awesome selection of tapas. Such an awesome spot and one of the few who are super accommodating when you want to book for a larger group i.e Birthday parties/Christmas parties

Took friends visiting from overseas for cocktails and tapas yesterday, thought what could go wrong, seeing as theyre a restaurant and cocktail bar. Our bloody marys were served in dirty little milkshake glasses, no Tabasco, celery, or even fresh lemon - whats worse is you charge over R60 for this.Ordered the halloumi salad, R75 mind you, for fridge cold halloumi bits, dry onions, and clearly soggy cucumber and lettuce. The cherry tomatoes were the only fresh item on the plate.Friends ordered your nachos, full portion, R95 - old chips dotted with cheese and tomato? No sour cream, and a spoonful of old guacamole on the side.Am I correct in presuming your truffled mushroom and cheese croquettes are pre purchased, and heated from frozen?The three stars are purely for your waiting staff, may your menu one day match their good service.
