The vibe and place was amazing, the food was top quality as well as the cocktails. One thing i didnt enjoy was that the food and dessert took longer than 30 minutes. They told us it was because there wasnt alot of people in the restaurant and the grills take longer to heat up. Other than that the service was top quality. Will definitely go again.

Love the look and feel of the place. It has a very good vibe. The prices are very reasonable. The drinks and food plating are very unique so its an experience. You can sit outside and get a feel of montecasino. They do have hub which is very reasonable and the gentleman who look after it are very friendly also helping you with it. Changing the coal so you dont need to worry about anything when it comes to it. You can also buy book the table you want before hand.

Milk and honey has the best vibe in all of Monte. Seafood pasta is divine, fresh ingredients and delicious taste. Cocktails are never dissapointing and service is awesome 👌

I went to milk and honey for a bridal shower and it was really nice. The food and atmosphere were great and even the glasses and platters that they served the food in looked wonderful.It can be a little pricey but really good food.Also the area we were in got really crowed, which is a testiment to the place but I suggest making sure you have a booking so you know youll get a table.

Cute spot with lovely interiors and vibe. Received good service and the food was great. Better than I expected. Had a bunch of starters as a main meal like tapas. Would definitely go back. I’d recommend making a booking. Oh if it’s your birthday, expect a big spectacle with 50 Cent blasting, waiters dancing and bringing a sparkler. If you like that sort of thing 😂

Came to Milk and honey last week Saturday to celebrate my graduation with my friends.Yandi made the occasion all the more special!She was so attentive, warm and friendly.The food is to die for, and the music was on point! Definitely a great vibe and will be going back again soon!

Amazing new place at Monte Casino definitely worth a try. A very interesting and exciting menu with very modern combinations. Had the lobster waffle and it was amazing, tender and delicious. The truffle infused honey popcorn was a great touch.

A nice joint in montecasino lives to the name of the franchise; service is nice for an African place and the food and drinks are in good quality..The most important for me was the fact they served shisha and this was in fact a plus point as obviously this is not something to expect easily in Johannesburg.The prices are decent and value for money is in balance .

The staff are friendly. The food was terrible. Chicken was dry with no flavour, calamari was burnt and cold, its never a good sign when the plate arrives hot and the food isnt. Had to wait atleast an hour to get food!!!. This place seems like a great place for drinks and good vibes. I am pretty sure they make really great cocktails. Unfortunately lockdown is not doing it any favours. If you want good food go elsewhere, but if you are looking for good drinks and tapas....then try it out...........when the alcohol ban has lifted.

Very good service. And set up. Food menu is limited but a great selection of alcoholic beverages. The music is also great with a live DJ on the decks. But there isnt any dancing that happens.

Waiter and service was excellent. We ordered platters as starters which was delicious. However our mains were pathetic to say the least. Chicken meals were dry & had no flavour. Prawns had a gas/chemical taste to it. For the price you need to pay, you expect better main courses. Their chef clearly had an offish day.

Went there as part of the date night special. The gin & tonic was very nice. The music was a bit loud but it did have a party/dance vibe. The menu items looked very interesting, might go back to try the food.

Whilst Milk and Honet MonteCasino is an aesthetically pleasing and I thoroughtly enjoyed the 90s RnB that was being played on a Sunday afternoon, the service and the food was disappointing to say the least.The waiter that was assigned to out table took forever to bring us anything - drinks, cutlery and even the food took over 30 minutes to prep... and it wasnt even worth the wait. The lamb was not seasoned to my liking and the salad looked and tasted like it had been left in the fridge for too long. I was not happy.

Dont know if it was because of lock down but they a limited amount of draught beers.

It was my first time there and I enjoyed my experience. It is a very beautiful place with a lovely ambience. Nice crowd. I only have two issues. One is the fact that it was quiet yet we had to keep looking for our waiter to request drinks. Second issue was the waiter recommended a gin drink with berries. The drink was very bland, no berry flavor. I requested syrup which helped improve the taste. I left my phone there and we went to 360 and by the time I realized that I had left my phone there the place was closed. I got it back and applaud the restaurant for honesty. Will definitely be going back

Poor service, terrible cocktails and just a overall flop. This review is to let management know that every person who visits your establishment needs to be treated with the very best service you can offer. Cmon, step it up. Lets hope the next visit goes better.

This place has the most awesome and most unique cocktails Ive ever seen in my life. I highly recommend trying their cocktails especially the milk & honey one which comes served in an ostrich egg. The tea one comes served in a teapot. The service was also really good and efficient. Water is a little overpriced though, but it can be overlooked due to the amazing cocktails.

I really dislike the two ladies who work the front desk. They are perhaps the most unfriendly, rude and arrogant people I have ever met in the service industry. You would swear they think they are doing you a favour by letting you in. I was there last Friday night, spoke to a gentleman at the entrance asking for a reservation at 10 pm. He said that they dont do reservations past 9 pm but said he will ask the ladies at the front to take my number down and text me if there was a table available (I was very impressed by this and accepted) however while the gentleman made this offer the ladies both shook their heads and said no, not willing to inform me if a table was available. After some persuasion from this gentleman they eventually agreed and took my number down, rudely stating that they cannot guarantee a table - as if I am not already aware of this. My friends and I arrive after 10 pm to see multiple free tables inside but no text or phone call to inform me. I then ask to be seated outside when one of those tables become available but then one of the ladies responds saying I only have a table inside. The right thing for her to have said was Sure, but unfortunately I only have tables inside available at the moment but as soon as an outside table becomes free I will let you know, honestly these ladies have no idea how to speak and behave even though they work in the service industry. I would have honestly had a great night if it wasnt for them. Ive spoken to my friends about it and some have had similar experiences with those two ladies. Apart from that, our waiter was excellent - he consistently checked up on us and removed empty glasses from our table. He offered a hooka pipe before we even asked and made recommendations on the drinks menu - he truly knows customer service. The vibe was okay - wouldve preferred more upbeat music.

Chilled spot....pretty average. Prices are ridiculous. More entertaining venues for a fraction of the cost. Would have expected excellent customer service for the menu prices, but also pretty average in this regard. However, food was awesome. Rather focus on your platters, people would rather have snacks with their drinks, if the lounge vibe is what you going for.

Beautiful restaurant and decor but the food left something to be desired. High tea didnt work well with a live DJ playing house music. Dont sell a high tea party and then fail to deliver.After waiting about 45 minutes after arrival our platter was brought to the table. Platted beautifully. However the croissants were stale, the macaroons were broken and the chocolate covered strawberries were over ripe. So either our food was standing and waiting for us for a long time or it just wasnt fresh.When deciding to host our high tea we were looking for an elegant child friendly venue. Elegance rated at five star...until a patron vomited next to our table because of too much boozing. The manager did not apologize or check on our table to see if we were alright.Anyway, such lovely decor. The brand identity is aiming for high tea elegance but fails to deliver on that ambience.If I wanted a club vibe I would have gone to an appropriate place. After such hype, Milk and Honey is rather the land of Milk, Honey and Bread.

Great place for drinks and cocktails. Went out with my husband on a Friday night. Great vibe, with dj performing. My husband had his cocktail in an ostrich egg wit aluminum straw, and mine was in a teapot....

Perfect spot for drinks before dinner or a show. They have a good cocktail menu and also have great music. If you are into smoking shesha or hubbly. There is also a good menu on offer and the venue is tastefully decorated for the modern style

Excellent. Cocktails were pricey but well worth it. They look great (unique glassware for each type) and taste great. Snacks were also delicious.
