I had an incredible lunch with my husband on 3 October 2021. We were served by Christine. She was very friendly and polite and she was constantly checking if we were OK or needed anything else. Keep up the good work. The food was absolutely Devine. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Went for gin tasting which I bought on hyperli, ended up getting more cause it was just so great! Amazing experience. The sliders were unbelievably tasty! Gin for gin tasting was just okay and quite small glasses however I order the watermelon and basil gin afterwards, couldn’t get enough . Fortune was such a wonderful and helpful waiter, helpful too. Great ambiance and beautiful view. Definitely going back soon!

The service was extremely slow. We must have waited like 30minutes plus for our food.I had the Salted caramel donuts and they were good but I was not wowed.Because the service really undoes so much of the good. The waiter was nice but M. I. A. more often than not.The hookah pipe was probably also overpriced but it is a good offering to have.I dont drink but they were very accommodating. I was able to get a virgin cocktail for R65 which is about average.

Better late than never. We went to Jozi Gin on Saturday, upon arrival at the door we where greeted warmly. The ambiance us exceptional. The efficiency and grace of the waitrons is amazing. Gin recommend by Pearl was amazing, great and superb service thank you. Beautiful view outside although it was hot early in the afternoon. Unforgettableexperience.

Went for dinner at Jozi Gin Morningside. The service was prompt, the waitress suggested a cocktail, and we loved it!!!! Food service was quick, meals arrived on hot plates, (have to say that was a nice touch) and my guest was blown away with the quality and the flavor of her meal. Will recommend it to all my friends. We will definitely come back. Well done guys!!

OMFG!!! What an amazing vibe. While the service was a bit slow in the beginning, it was altogether a really great experience. The food was great, the drinks were yum and the atmosphere was just perfect for the different groups I was with all afternoon and night.

Such a vibey atmosphere... The hubblys are a nice option but they have no idea about the service they offer in terms of that. Coconut coals should be offered as a healthier and more sustainable alternative..Food was impeccable

I’m so glad I chose Jozi Gin Bar to celebrate my 30th! I booked out the VIP area as suggested by the manager Micki, and I have zero regrets. Post making the booking, a WhatsApp group was created immediately with the team, including Dylan the chef, who would be helping organise the event!The Jozi Gin Bar team were responsive to all my questions leading up to the day, even the ones about table diameters for decor purposes.The actual event ran smoothly, with the doors open and enough space for people to move around. The blue couches complemented my ‘Garden in the city’ aesthetic perfectly. The team allowed my service providers to set up the decor beforehand, pics attached. The Jozi gin bar team also assisted with moving wine barrels around to where I wanted it to be! Micki was kind enough to also store my beautiful cake very carefully in their fridge during the day.The service was impeccable! From the get go, food and drinks were timeously served so my guests were not uncomfortable. A special thank you to Princess who was an absolute star on the day and ensured everything ran smoothly!Food was delicious, great and extensive selection of drinks, while the staff are super helpful to make things happen for you, including a jagerbomb tower upon special request.Thank you everybody!

The food and the Gin cocktails were absolutely amazing. It wasnt that busy when we arrived but service was abit slow, i can only imagine how it will be when its busy.The place has good music and is overall just good vibes.

I absolutely loved the overall vibe of the place. The waitress I had was super sweet and friendly, the food was spectacular! I would definitely go again and again! And also, in case youre wondering, they do have hubbly/hookah available at R150, then half price for all refills.

I have been there twice and in both my experiences, it was great! Amazing service and waiters/ waitresses. Princess is the best waitress that I have ever received during my time there. She is amazing!

Great and wide drinks selection from beers and especially gin. Great bites too while you have drinks & chat. The music when I was there also added to the atmosphere and not crazy loud. Just need to serve faster. Drinks and food take longer than usual.

Nice environment. I was celebrating my birthday with friends. It was busy and the establishment was short staffed which had an impact on the service. However, the chef was amazing and made our party some really good meals (thank you very much and job well done).We were also acquainted with two gents who were either management of owners - very polite and friendly, plus appreciated what customer experience is about.One of which was the GM. He handled our complaint very professionally and with courteousy..we left the restaurant without a negative vibe and will try it out again for sure with a bigger crew.I would to know the names of the gents we spoke to as well as the Chef.

The vegan and vegetarian meal options are absolutely shocking. I have never been so disappointed in my life! Honestly, I would not eat here as a non-meat-eater because Woollies 10 meters away has better ACTUAL meal options for the vegetarians and vegans. I am severely disappointed, disgruntled and dissatisfied with the food. Rather have drinks here and go somewhere else if you have an alternative eating lifestyle.

Very unwelcoming experience. Last rounds by 7:20pm, and kicked out by 8pm - with staff flicking lights off to chase clientele out. I appreciate there’s a curfew - but it’s at 10pm. Won’t be back.

A few weeks back one of my closest friends introduced me to this cosy Gin bar. I really loved the ambience, but I personally think its missing a pool table to keep the flow of the people constant throughout.It saddens me when I see cool spots like these look empty on a Saturday night. I fear for their survival, so hopefully my suggestion will be considered. 😁🤞🏾I definitely want to return there for the food next time. 😊

Went to Jozi Gin in Morningside on Thursday, before the long weekend. Had the peri peri Chicken. Omg. I wanted to shake the chefs hand, but it was full of peri peri, 🤣 you guys rock!

If you are a Gin lover, and have a taste for great food then give Jozi Gin Bar a try.We were recently invited to try some of their menu items and quench our thirsts with some Gin. They have got a newly built deck, so sit outside and catch some sun rays while chilling with some eats and drinks.The drink of choice for the afternoon was the Inverroche Distillery Coco LOrange. I was highly surprised with the flavour as it wasnt too overpowering, i had it with sugar free Tonic water and Ice and I loved it. No fancy additions needed to enhance the taste.As for the food, we got treated to a feast of note. If you are a fussy eater then there is definitely something for everyone, meat, chicken, fish or veg. Take your pick.• Flame grilled New York Striploin. This was a great hearty meal with the Dutch carrots and confit mushrooms.• Pepper Brandy Fillet Medallions, delicious and tasty.• Beef Short Ribs, this I found to be a bit on the dry side.• Medium Rare rump with Chimmichuri, great taste but for me needs to be cooked a but more.• Loaded Calamari Tubes - DISH OF THE DAY 👍🏻👍🏻• Alaskan Pollock Tempura, not too bad needed a bit more spice and the lemon juice to bring out the taste.• Honey, Melon & Serrano Ham, fresh and healthy.• Mushroom and Mozzarella Springrolls, something different in a good way.• Flame Grilled Deboned Chicken thighs, yummy especially with the garlic fondant potatoes.• Deboned Chicken Thigh Espetada - loved the spicyness.• Spicy BBQ Chicken Wings, another great tasting chicken option.• Grilled Halloumi with fig preserve. Didnt taste it. Sorry.• Jozi Special Fries with Aioli, these were another hit we actually asked for a second portion it was THAT good.As you can see we were spoilt for choice and that is not even everything on the menu.Now if you have a sweet tooth here is what we tasted.• Warm chocolate fudge pudding smothered in dark chocolate ganache. This was really delicious and Chocolate lovers will want to have it, I just wasnt keen on the custard used. We need that proper #Ultramel• Baked Key Lime Pie. I enjoyed this one more than  I expected. It wasnt too tart and it just had a great balance in taste.• Oreo Cheesecake. This isnt for me Im not an oreo fan, so Oreo peeps you can have this one.• Salted Caramel Mini Doughnuts. Amazing delightful little bites of goodness.• Italian wafer Basket with Ice Cream and Bar One Sauce. This is the safe choice if you dont want to be adventurous 😂All served with ice cream except the Fudge pudding.Service from Princess and JJ were fantastic, and they really looked after us. Great vibe. The drinks were good, there was a wide selection. The food was super inconsistent, the waiter messed up our tables order. Our order took a really long time to be prepared (50+ mins). We had to pay R125 booking fee per head to secure a table (which we were told would be subtracted from our bill at the end of the night) however it was not the case. We had to speak to the manager to rectify. If your aim is get drunk then definitely visit, if not then perhaps a restaurant with a kitchen better suited to consistent high quality meals prepared in reasonable time.

Absolutely terriblePoor service,I waited 2 and half hours for my food and it was not even due to the place restuarant being busy.the waiteress screamed at me after I had asked her if she could come and please take my order.I would really not go there but if anyone see this review please do visit this restaurant and confirm it.The manager did not even come to apologize for any delays or how the waitress had not spoken but screamed at me!The food was okay,but after waiting for 2 and a half hours I expected much more than that.

They dishes are large enough to fill your tummy. The food tastes really good! The staff are really nice. When we were there on a Friday night the music was loud enough to create a nice ambiance but low enough for us to have conversations without screaming at each other and saying “What did you say” every two minutes. Their couches are sooo comfortable! I didn’t realize how uncomfortable other restaurant chairs are until I sat on their comfortable chairs.The only issue is that their service can be quite slow seemingly unnecessarily.

The food was nice. It’s bringing local kasi food to the burns for those who don’t want to go to the townships.I had the vetkoek with mince and cheese and my fiancé had the fancy steak Kota.The gin cocktails were delicious too 😋

We waited over 40 minutes for our sushi, the waiter and manager told us different stories. The restaurant is stunning but I wouldnt recommend it because of the poor service. Also they have vegan ice-cream but not vegan anything else except fries that was so confusing. Maybe if you go there for drinks it will be better

Beautiful venue with a small, quality food menu. Very extensive beverage menu (but not enough Craft Beer for my liking). We ate the Jozi Burger (really tasty) and the Ribs and Chicken combo. Luckily we came there hungry, as the portion size was decent.Looking forward to going back there to continue making our way through their cocktail list.Service was really attentive and the crew were very friendly.

This is one of the best new restaurants in the Sandton area. Cocktails and Gin range are incredible. Ive been through most items on the menu and could not find a fault in any of the food. In fact, the food at Jozi Gin gets a 10/10 for me. If you live in Sandton or visiting, this restaurant must be on your to do list.

Good atmosphere but the food is a let down.

Got to love this place, the manager is soo helpful and attentive, great selection of gin for the gin lovers as well as other drinks, great views from the patio and the atmosphere is not too bad either, tried the sushi and was well surprised, would definitely recommend Jozi Gin.

This restaurant was really awesome! The gin is really incredible and the ambiance is also lovely! The service is really good. Our Waitress was excellent and the food was also delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a day out with the friends!
