I loved their food. My partner, little one and myself enjoyed our visit here. Loved the service as well. Everything was just perfect. We will definitely be visiting Pauls when we are around Melrose Arch again.

Came here twice during my stay. The quality of their food and coffee I think is excellent. I had poached egg with avocado and cream cheese, as well as passion fruit yogurt and croissants over the couple days I went. And I couldn’t fault it at all.Disappointingly what really let this place down on the second occasion I came, was the standard of service received. Between myself and my two colleagues we all remarked how disinterested our waitress was. Normally you can always rely on friendly service in South Africa. Unfortunately not on this occasion. No warmth, no interest in how our meal was. No thank you when we paid. I think I’d actually struggle to be that apathetic towards anyone, never mind customers!A real shame, as the food was great.

Obsessed with this bakery! I love it so much. It is the perfect destination for a Sunday breakfast. The amount of pastries and delicious treats is amazing. The employees are very helpful.

Beautiful place to go on a date, the vibe is classic aesthetics... The food is okay but their chicken was off the charts though! The service was exceptional (shout out to Lilian🖤). The dessert is nice but I expected a wider range since its a bakery... Oh and the space is a bit limited so it gets a bit clustered on busy days like today (valentines). But I had a good time...

Took our great mother’s for a Mother’s Day celebration and Thank you. The place was full of motherly love and soulfulness. The mothers were in high spirits and the waiters living up to ideal customer centricity: moving with speed, care and high levels of attention to detail.The kids mostly teenagers and boys enjoyed the space. They have dishes for everyone. More like home away fromHome.It’s also Bette ventilated, doors wipe open. They have stackable foldable glass doors.Great energy

Melrose Arch has its own flair. Also a base atmosphere. As a result, almost every shop is a good standard.Pauls is no different. Good fare and wide selection. Good service. Why not 5 stars? For the products - expensive.That must never take away from a good experience. 😊

Perfect for light meals divine pasty and delicious cocktails. They didnt have much pastry left though towards the end of the evening and the main reason I went there was left wanting as they had run out of mille feuille.

It was a spur of the moment call, we needed to stop and pick up a few goodies and there it stood, inviting, on display the tastiest treats. We meandered cobble stones, were seated outside, fresh it was. My vice was my go to hot beverage an almond cortado, my wife opted for a dirty chai and a slice of red velvet, her only choice of words to describe the said decadence was, divinely prepared by a deity. I think we had a good time and a certain repeat 😁

This place has a lot to offer. I absolutely enjoyed the food but the french toast is top tier out of everything!!! I would definitely go back there it’s worth the weight gain😂.

I find the quality of service to have gone down quite significantly. We had a disinterested snooty waiter yesterday that bought us the wrong drink, just plonked it down on the table and didnt even supply spoons to eat dessert with. We had ordered milkshakes and dessert, and not full meals. If youre not ordering main courses, they seem to think its not worth their time to make an effort, even though the bill was over R500.No longer worth the dismal service.

The food was delicious, good portions and good customer service. We preferred to sit outside because it was a bit full inside. I was so impressed to see our food covered. Thats actually excellent customer service. All Covid protocols observed even covered food as it is taken from the kitchen to the tables 👌

Impeccable service from the staff!!! Celebrated my cousin’s birthday at Paul with my rather large family and friends. We had respective waiters for food and drinks which catered for the large number of people. Everyone had a fantastic time, the food was delectable and their turn around time from when you order till you get your food is impressive!!!Be very precise with your drink order as they offer multiple options for the same drink that aren’t on the menu and there might be a tad bit of confusion there.Nonetheless, it was lovely!

Congenial atmosphere with quality offerings in the superb setting of the Melrose Boulevard. Very attentive waitrons though one at times got the feeling you were being rushed to finish and vacate the table. Im going to positively reflect attentive service.

A great breakfast spot located in Melrose Arch! Lovely ambiance, delicious food at reasonable prices and the service is friendly and efficient. They also take lots of COVID precautions - take temperatures, sanitiser on the tables, knives and forks are sealed in plastic and the food arrived covered, etc.

What a beautiful place within Melrose Arch. I went with biking friends in the evening and always love the atmosphere of Melrose Arch. Paul bakery/cafe is a corner restaurant and offers delicious and tasty food. Each dish was decorated nicely. The variety of food is very good and different from other restaurants. The waitresses super friendly and have a great knowledge of their food products. After the meal we had marshmallows served which are melting in your mouth. Worthwhile visit. If you take small children please be reminded that theres no playground. Its more a place to chill, relax and unwind. I can picture it very busy for breakfast with all the offices around. Its a magnificent place in the evening with all the lights. 👌👌👌

Met a friend for coffee and to try out the always scrumptious looking sweet treats. I had a coconut custard tart that was really tasty. The only let down was the poor service. Out waiter seemed too busy to actually pay attention to our needs which was off-putting. If I do return, itll likely be for a quick take-away rather.

This would be my second visit to Pauls, and Im glad I came. I had a 3 course meal and I am not disappointed. A shared starter, 2 mains and desserts and we paid just under R1K. This is definitely not the cheapest place in town but it is worth it.

Terrible service and stale food. My friend and I literally had to haul a waiter over as no one acknowledged us or greeted us back after we tried to get any staff members attention to be seated at a table while the host was MIA. Our waiter was not interested in explaining what the process was for ordering food on the menu vs at the bakery despite us being there for the first time. The food was a visual masterpiece but my fork could not cut through the cheesecake and our pistachio macaroons were hard. This was a disappointing experience considering that I came from Cape Town in excitement to try desserts from Paul.

Everything at Pauls is absolutely stunning. We had had a fantastic experience as the service was on point, the food was delicious and the ambience was absolutely awesome. The only one thing that let them down was the bathroom facility was not up to my standard otherwise evetrging else was perfect.

My first time at Paul. The food was as delectable as everyone described it, the service was on point and the atmosphere warm and almost nostalgic.For a place like Paul one does however have very high expectations, so I was a bit surprised when my eggs benedict was more on the raw side (egg white even) than medium as requested. Nevertheless, it was still great and Ill be back soon for more!

My friends and I went to PAUL for lunch and it was amazing. I had about 3 apricot mimosas because they were so yummy and the pasta was even better, took a takeaway because my boyfriend loves food and I knew he HAD to taste it, he loved it even more than I did. The service was 12 out of 10. Just an outstanding experience, loved it.

I love going to Paul! The experience is a great and the food is absolutely delicious. Ive been there for breakfast a few times so I cannot speak for their other menus but I have not been disappointed. It is family friendly and they have baby seats for smaller children. You can watch all the baked goods been made as well which adds to the atmosphere of the place. They are a bakery so if you dont want to sit down you can stop by and get some sweet or savoury goodies to go.

Great place to find tasty food. We had breakfast. It was well prepared, waitors are very friendly. The restaurant is clean with comfy chairs and smallish tables. Perfect taste of Europe. I would definitely recommend this cafe.

Shocking phone etiquette when trying to place an order. Half the staff dont even seem to understand English and instead of saying they dont make certain items on the menu they act like they cant hear you and say sorry, huh or what.
