This wonderful shop has just opened up in Linden and my husband and I went there for a coffee date. Needless to say the energy of this place was vibrant, our server was magnificently attentive, but not over baring. The food was excellent and reasonable, you could easily get a couple of boxes of delicious baked goods for under R100. Their quality is superb as well. I really enjoy going to this establishment and feasting on the delectable treats. We even had to take some of this goodness home to continue our wonderful coffee date. If you havent checked this place out, go do it now. You wont regret it.

Its the first time Ive been to the place since it opened a few months ago so its new to the area. A lovely experience though. Very friendly and professional staff. A lovely atmosphere too. The food is amazing. The portions are a proper size and very filling.The place is incredible. The managers are also active on the floor which is quite refreshing. Highly recommended if you are looking for something new to experience

Service was outstanding: our waiter was attentive and engaging. The food was superb: fillet, mince bun and Prego roll.And of course the best pastas de natas to end it all!

Good value for money pastries. We got a few coffees and pastries during Level 4 lockdown as takeaway and they were both good. The pastries were excellent value for money and I look forward to going back once we can have a seat inside.

So a few things to unpack here: I stop here regularly for takeaway pasteis de nata as, frankly, Bem Bom ones are basically the only ones to get. This also means Ive been in there a good few times now and, to date, I have yet to see anything remotely approaching good mask protocol in the management staff while the wait staff are mostly better: wear the damn things properly or dont bother with the mockery being made here, people.Then, this week I took a friend for a sit-down. We had fruit freezos in smoothie mode, and they are simply divine - pity about just the three flavours but what you gonna do. My companion was very happy with her well-executed meal, my poached (the in-cup training wheel variety) eggs that I very specifically asked to have running yolks ...werent. But then they also came to me STONE COLD as the kitchen seems unable to time combo orders to the same table correctly, at least in my experience. They provide one of those cater butter packs for two toast slices which frankly doesnt make it to two slices ...and would it be possible to provide a rounded butter spreading knife as the standard table knives with the hella sharp points are really not good here.Service was good, she provided good advice when asked about the menu, was never inattentive, and can only deliver what the kitchen turns out.

A welcomed new edition to the neighbourhood. Bem Bom in Linden is the hot new authentic Portuguese cafe/deli that everyone is raving about, and I mean EVERYONE. It is not uncommon to find that if you wake up late craving the creamiest and flakiest pasteis de nata in Joburg, for you to be left wanting as they get sold almost as soon as they are made. Warm and friendly service, run by a family who makes you feel a part of their own. From their coffees, to their authentic pastry, to their breakfasts and the classic prego, this is the way myself and my dogs have started every Sunday since they have opened, and I will be back next Sunday!
