The only reason I give one star is because no 0 score is available. My car has been in for service for over a week now. The first day they were running systems looking for the problem, the entire day from 7 only told what the issue was later, then they had to strip it down and still over the days I am unaware what the technicians were doing. No courtesy car to help over this long week, and even though I was told I should expect it by today, still the technician is still busy, another entire day of Lord knows what is happening to my car, since apparently parts were received after ordering and I was scheduled to get it this afternoon, but still... the whole day and nothing has progressed. At this point I just want my vehicle. Not recommending this branch to anyone really.

If you intend taking your car here, you better ask questions and probe their responses!! I was misled into buying something for R1799 that Audrey knew was not going to fix the problem with my car. And before they could replace the item I specifically asked if it was going to fix the problem and she said yes. My car still has the problem and I paid for something I did not need!Update: Brendon (branch manager) called me several days after publishing this review. He said he’d check the diagnostic report and get back to me. In the meantime I changed tyres and tested - the problem persisted. I tried phoning and SMSing Brendon, he never contacted me again. I feel like he was pretending to want to help.I later went to a tyre shop and the issue was actually wheel misalignment. So it’s very strange that a wheel misalignment issue was diagnosed as something that needed an ignition coil!!!Definitely dont recommend going there!! Disappointing.

I toke my car in on the 23/09/2020 for a service and for my drivers mirror that was not folding in when the vehicle was been locked. We then collected the vehicle that afternoon and we were advised all was im order. Only to see that the mirror was still not fixed. I then called and was advised that it never done it there which was a lie as it was doing it from the time we collected it up until today the 13/10/2020. So I was advised to bring the vehicle back in on the 01/10/202 and they would look at it again. I did and only later in the afternoon was I informed that I will not get the vehicle back my husband was out of the county and his car was parked at the airport for the week so when I asked VW so now what do I do now to get home I was told sorry mam I dont know what to do we cant assist you, so VW the Glen left me stranded and no way to collect my sons or getting home from work. When I collected the car on the Friday I was told the issue was not sorted as they needed the parts and they could only get them from PE when they arrive they will call me. Which they did and the car was booked in for the 13/10/2020 to sort the mirror out. I have called to find out if my car is ready and I have called 4 time and not one person has called me back after holding on for about 5 minutes each time and then leaving messages. I then got through and was told they will advise on the progress of my vehicle they think its in the wash bay and guess what Im still wanting 45 mins later and im still no closer to knowing if my car is ready or not. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND VW THE GLEN TO ANYONE THE SERVICE IS SHOCKING, RATHER TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO ANOTHER BRANCH LESS HASSLES.

Appalling service at this dealership . My vehicle went in for a service and I asked that new wheel caps be ordered for the vehicle. I was asked to pay upfront for the caps which I did .A week later I was called to say the caps had arrived . I took the car in for the fitting of the caps . After about an hour of waiting the service advisor , Luanda , approached to advise that the caps that had been ordered were not the correct ones for the vehicle . I was told she would follow up with the parts department and would expedite the ordering of the correct caps. I waited for almost two weeks with no communication from Luanda or any other person at the dealer. I called them and as usual Luanda was unavailable to advise me on the status of the order . Another service advisor advised that she contacted the parts department who advised that these caps are no longer made by VW and that I needed a refund but then proceeded to give me a long complicated explanation of what I should do to obtain a refund. I requested that she address an email to me confirming her advices to me .My service book was also not stamped at the time I collected the vehicle from the service - so I had to return to have that completed !!!To say that these people are incompetent and unprofessional is quite honestly placing it mildly !!! Definitely will not be going back to this dealer and will be bringing this to attention of VW SA . GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!

Volkswagen The Glen is the most unprofessional dealership i have ever had to deal with! I have had issues over the past year dealing with three different workshop managers and not one of them were able to assist with any of my problems. I then escalated this to the Dealer principal Paul who has showed no interest at helping at all. He just passed me on to the same workshop/service managers who did nothing from the start which is why I escalated to Paul in hope that someone could just help with my issues. Brandon the workshop manager works for Audi and Volkswagen giving me empty promises from day one. The most disappointing part of this all is that they blatantly lied about all the information given to MIOSA where i went to take it further. I was so patient with them from my 30000km service where my gearbox and steering rack issues began, they gave me stories up until my car was out of warranty and now refuse to assist me. DO NOT buy or go to this dealership for your services. I will never purchase another Volkswagen vehicle all thanks to my experiences and the hard time i have had in one year from VW The Glen!!!!!

Came for a service few months ago. Had issue with brakes noise and vibrations. They suggested I change the discs. They fitted premium discs without telling me instead of economy and wanted me to pay extra which I refused. Came back twice because I still had the same issue. They just kept telling me to drive 300km and it will sort itself out. The noise and vibrations still continued. This means I spent thousands of rands for nothing. I finally went to tyre and brake specialist which fixed my issue and gave me great customer service.The VW customer service was generally really bad. I had wait almost 2 hours from the time they told me my car was ready. The service agents are not knowledgeable (they always suggest to replace everything instead of suggesting fixes) and just want to make money off of you.I do not feel comfortable going there again and will never purchase anything from this branch again.

Not good at all, i asked for a diagnostic and pressure test to be done on my cooling system, i was told my water pump had to be replaced and it would cost thousands of rands so i decided to buy the parts and go to a trusted mechanic only for him to tell me my water pump is fine my heater core is leaking, how did you guys do a pressure test and not see that my heater core was leaking after i informed your team that there is steam coming from my aircon? This is time and money wasted with no assistance from you guys

Worst service Ive ever had , ive been servicing with this branch for some time now, but what ive encountered today regards to my service is very poor. I went in morning today saw Palesa asked if it would be possible to service my vw amarok today , as it was actually booked for thursday. After she gets confirmation and tells me that car will be ready before 17:00 , What a nightmare, I have to go back tomorrow cause they dont have air-filter in stock, my handbrake was never adjusted, my mud flaps screw were a request to replace not done , i have requested for a proper wash under carriage got a allot of mud still not done. All this was noted on job card. Wont go back there again

I work for myself at home and had a problem with a turbo pipe on a caddy, phoned on Saturday for a price and I sent my customer to go pay for the part and for it to get delivered to my premises, which was promised on Monday mid day. It never arrived and my client was asking what was going on. In the end he had to go pick up the part late Tuesday afternoon himself when it was promised as agreed to be delivered. As my own boss Id not be happy with the service delivery the staff are giving to clients as thats what I strive to give!

Pathetic service from Innocentia in parts. I was put through to her 4 times and spent 15 minutes holding. The first time she picked up and did not even give me a chance to say hello and said parts hello I will talk to you just now and put the phone aside while I could hear her other conversation in the background eventually she cut me off and subsequent to that could not go through to parts! They have no respect for customers and calls are not free! Some customer service training required there.

Zero service!!!!!Took my vehicle to VW The Glen on Thursday 21 December requesting them to service and repair my air conditioner as it was not releasing any cool air. Got a phone call from Priha telling me that they picked up my vehicle was in an accident and that it was not properly fixed but that the air conditioning was fixed. When I got to VW the technician Peter told me that Priha misunderstood and that I had nothing to worry about. As I drove home I relized that the aircon is still not working. Contacted VW the Friday morning and was told to bring it back. I also received a phone call from a lady checking if I was happy with the work that was done and after informing her of the issue she told me that she would inform the service manager. Went back on Wednesday 27 December then got a call from Priha telling me that they now all of sudden discovered a pipe that was damaged, yet again she and Peter could not decide on how this was missed on Thursday. I was told that the service manager was now involved and that the aircon would be fixed. Friday 29 December around 14:45 I called Priha to get an update and was then informed that the discovered another pipe leaking but that I should just give her time until 14:50 to call me back. Guess what, it is now 30 December (and VW is CLOSED) and I am still without a vehicle and Priha never called me back. My question where is the Service Manager?

Almost everytime that my VW Polo GTi were booked in for a service or warranty repair at The Glen Volkswagen, I found that the workmanship was sub standard and my vehicle was not properly repaired/serviced. Due to this, I suggest you purchase or service your VW at another branch.

The WORST, of the WORST Volkswagen dealership we have EVER experienced. A.k.a Volkswagen VW The Glen. Basically laughs at customers, VROT after sales service, SCRATCHES your interior and windows when they work on your car and takes absolutely NO responsibility for this. Breaks your car electronics out of spitefulness (this has been confirmed to us by another VW dealership). Every second month you have to be inconvenienced by booking in your car to the workshop because of problems VW cant find / fix. Volkswagen is really becoming pathetic to say the least. And pray to God that you NEVER have to deal with this disgusting, spiteful, horrid The Glen VW dealership. From a former big VW fan, after months of problems now absolutely hate this brand.

Bad service, the lady that checked in my car was on her cell phone and wasnt paying attention to what I was saying, she wrote the wrong details down and the workshop carried out incorrect repairs, the qaulity controller test drive the car but didnt notice the warning lights and jerks and the service consultant verified the car is in 100% condition while it wasnt... took it back for a complaint repair and they treat it as low priority and tell me it will take two days to do a diagnostic!Last time I took my car there for a faulty sun visor light they wanted to strip my dash board, Hatfield VW in rivonia just replaced the sun visor as a warranty repair quick and easy!This is the last time I use this VW and Ill advise all my family and friends to stay away

We were on our holiday to the coast when our car broke down outside the cbd at arround three pm on Thursday 29th . The closest vw was the glenn. They speedily helped us to get the car in to the work shop. Etienne was amazing helped us to sort things out that was never fixed properly. Our car has been in and out of the workshop four times on major issues since we bought the car last year at vw braysnton. When the car broke again on Thursday I thought our holiday was not going to happen. But this branch really turned this nightmare into an amazing experience. Thanks to vw Glenn and all their staff that looked after us and helped us so speedily to get the car sorted so. We can continue our trip.

Found out a year later, that major service did not happen. Heard fuel pump whining, on closer investigation found a really old fuel filter (1 year or older) checked invoice was charged for the replacement but it didnt happen. Inspected further found plugs and more that were not replaced. Car has only seen this dealership from 2010 - based on this finding cancelled planned service for this year and all subsequent transactions with this dealership.
