I am currently a resident. It took Ann Harding more than 3 weeks to get hold of catheter condoms and when it arrived it was the wrong size. I have been here for more than 2 months and only woke up dry for 5 days because the nurses helpers arent trained to put on catheter condoms. I complained about it and now the Head of care ignores me. I went to the manager weeks ago and have not been given any feedback. When you press the alarm button in your room, you better not have an emergency because sometime it takes more than an hour to be attended to. There are some residents that keeps on screaming for up to 6 hours at a time The patients who are mentally normal are being treated like babies. I think that the food is terrible, the other night we had chips and egg for dinner. The buildings fire alarm has not been working for years which is a major concern.

I went to the charity shop which is well worth a visit!

In terms of the home it is lovely with lovely staff i enjoy visiting here! I also enjoyed shopping at the charity shop, great deals; however some of the staff members can be out of line as one of the assists was assuming things beyond her understanding and knowledge then proceeded to accuse us. I found this really offensive as I visit often and donate to the home and always support the Charity shop. Therefore I think the shop staff needs to be re-evaluated as that was beyond disrespectful and honestly hurtful as I love this place so much. I hope I never have to endure that again when visiting. With that being said the home should re-evaluate their charity shop staff very soon to avoid me issuing a formal complaint against that staff member as any support shouldnt be taken for granted. Otherwise great home for the disabled with great nurses and admin staff!
