Shout out to Bergens for helping with repairing our fridge. It took about 2 days and they were very responsive and affordable. They accommodated me and communicated the whole time. I would just suggest that they update their Google and website information to show that they have moved.

Bergens Appliance Repairs is very professional. Great service and their work method is great. You take your appliance in and they assess it and give you a quote to fix it. If they are unable to fix your appliance they let you know upfront.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & LIARSRequested a repair on our Tumble Dryer, after a week of no calls or no direct communication. After directly confronting them in their shop, they proceeded to tell me my machine was dated and obsolete and they would not be able to source the part necessary from Samsung, lying directly to their client that Samsung has said the spares for my machine were no longer available and they would not be able to repair it. . . They would scrap the tumble drier for us if we did not want it returned.I requested they return my machine, and I got a second opinion, my machine was then repaired in three days by a different repair service provider!!!!CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! Almost made me spend unnecessary thousands of rands based on their opinion (as so called professionals) of my machine being obsolete and irreparable.

I knew my washing machine was not broken. I just needed to know how to reset the wash cycles. I called Bergens to ask to speak with a technician. They were all out on call. She told me to book them to come out. The technicians arrived not too long after. Looked at the machine, held the reset button for 3 seconds and it reset. That call out for 3 seconds work kost me R500.00. I did not have my defy manual so I could not read up. Could these type of call outs not be halved at least. Im a pensioner not earning a huge salary and R500 is a huge bite out of my budget. A phone call Q&A could also save time and money. It was such an easy fix.

It took over a week to get a quote, with the receptionist saying that Id get it by the end of the day every time I followed up.My washing machine was returned filthy, dented and scratched - I actually wonder if it was the same machine! On top of that, I had to ask 3 times for them to return the machine, as she either ignored me, or promised to return the machine and did not.The receptionist was rude and very unhelpful.Definitely not going back.
Very rude staff have no idea of customer service.... Take your broken appliances to Andre electrical next to Chinese shop on Smit Street Fairlands, Andre is amazing nothing he cant fix and know what customer service is.

Took 2 weeks for a quote .... took air aircon back twice to be told there was nothing wrong with it. After I identified the issue and insisted they replace the part I thought was faulty .... no more issues. How can I as a joe soap be better at troubleshooting than trained experts? Anyway. Aircon was fixed at the end of the day.
Worst service I have experienced. Waiting more than a week for a quote which they already charged for. Was promised twice that I would get a quote and had to ask for the 3rd time but still have not received anything. Total RIP off and not recommended.
When repairing my washing machine a few weeks ago, Bergens Strubensvalley took a week to get back to me with a quote, and missed the deadline for delivering a working machine back to me. Their excuse? Loadshedding, and the supply of electricity to their shop. Eventually got the machine repaired and delivered.As luck would have it, my tumble drier broke a few weeks after that. Accepting their excuse that loadshedding caused delays, I gave them another shot. Sent a request to collect the machine for inspection on 19 February, heard nothing and followed up on the 27th. The excuse? did not receive your email. They collected the machine on 27 February, today is 4 March and they can still not give me a quotation.Theyre returning the machine back to me today, I will find someone else to repair appliances going forward.
Ridicules Customer Service. Making Mistakes is human, but letting your Customer pay for it because you dont know how to fit it in your books: unacceptable. And on top you cant even apologise. Pathetic!

Strubensvalley branch repaired our dishwasher early in December - we were away for the rest of the month. The machine was used mid-January till mid-March. They refused to repair it properly as the guarantee on their poor workmanship had only just expired. Pathetic service! Go somewhere else or you will be disappointed.
Worst client service ever!I have sent a Fridge for gas to Bergens. They told me some other things had to be fixed and will cost me more. I approved the quote and received the fridge back. After 2 months I had the same problem! I resend the fridge, only to find out after 4 days (after I had to call them), that the fridge is now not economical reparable.I am so dissatisfied with their client service, for repairing the product to last only two months.Now I am out of pocket, with a broken fridge, and they just say I must take it up with head office.If you cannot give loyal honest service to your clients the first time, and screw them later, I am sorry to say, your business will not last long!
Requested a repair. Received fridge more broken/damaged back than before. Received a more expensive quotation back with mostly the same items to be repaired as already paid for. No further service from them. Worse place ever and will not recommend them at all!

Sent washing machine in to fix drum belt. Machine has come back leaking. Flooded my kitchen twice and its a battle to get them out again. Expensive and demand money before delivery notwithstanding the fact that they have broken something else!
