We as a family have been with Bedfordview vet since they were in Kensington which is seventy years . Have never had a bad experience in seventy years with a few miracles thrown in for good measure.

I have been going to the Bedfordview Veterinary Hospital for about 40 years and have always been extremely happy with the wonderful service received. I have found all the staff extremely helpful and the doctors very professional. Wont go anywhere else.

Worst vet ever!!! These doctors dont care about animals to them it is just a job. They do whatever they want without prior notification and treat animals like just another number. We took our dogs to them more than a year ago to ask about their teeth which had to be cleaned. The vet said they are dogs and it is fine. We now took them to have it formally cleaned and guess what, they decided to pull all the teeth without our consent or prior approval. It is because of these doctors that our poor babies now dont have teeth anymore. If they did something when we initially asked and cleaned it then, the decay could have been stopped. And all they have to say is that the teeth were too bad and all they could do was pull it and not ask us whether we want to go ahead with the procedure to pull it - NO - they just did it. Shame on you Bedfordview Veterinary Hospital! This is a warning to all future pet owners that these doctors dont have your pets best interest at heart and dont take precaution and care when they need to and then you and your pet have to pay the price later.

Dr Price is extremely helpful and her care for my baby show. Receptionist is super sweet and Ill definitely be going there only....

Super treatment for our very sick dog, but the most arrogant condescending treatment by the receptionist. I made the gargantuan mistake to insult her by addressing her in Afrikaans. OMG she grew up in this country but point blank refused to acknowledge me or respond to me, stating that she is “English”. Thank you dear, especially since I had just forked out in excess of R5000. You really understand how to make a customer feel special and valued. Well done. Proud of you.

Our perfectly healthy and strong puppy died in a routine spay operation due to poor knowledge from the vet of the risks of our breed, no thorough background check, negligence , no empathy and not letting us know any of the risks first before giving us an idea to go ahead with the operation . Highly never recommend this vet practise or Dr Schmidt specifically, you should not be granted the title of a doctor or someone who cares from animals. He destroyed the life of a young puppy with her whole life ahead of her due to not being a thorough and responsibly medical practitioner. We got an answer of ‘it happens ‘. Due to some research done after her loss there are many articles on how dangerous anaesthetic is for French bulldogs and the high risk attached to it. The doctor should have told us !!! Not perform an operation knowing that would most likely end her life .Shocking and devastated at our loss. If I could give a minus 1 rating I would. It will sadly never bring back the life our poor puppy however. Rip to an innocent life lost.

BARC - is the best Animal rehabilitation centre. Dr Price is very caring and gentle and I have seen a huge improvement with my dog since he started aqua therapy and acupuncture.

Really unimpressed with Dr Killian. Took my dog in for a checkup and nothing was done.He didnt touch my dog- no temperature taken, no physical, nothing.In addition, he was both condescending and rude- unwilling to take our concerns seriously and couldnt wait to get us out the door.
