I do all my embroidery and printing on clothing at Wild Gear since 2006 and never been disappointed. Very accommodating.
SnakeCity Edenvale - Went here not expecting much but we were in for a pleasant surprise. Well worth a visit with the family, we learnt so much today from Warren who I highly recommend, he is so passionate about what he does and so knowledgeable. We thought we would spend an hour and ended up spending 2. They busy improving and adding cages so theres some work in progress but they do have such a large variety of snakes and reptiles. My husbands highlight was carrying a Python, mine was seeing the leopard geckos and my sons was touching the tortoises.
It was great! Really made my boys birthday special. Staff was really friendly and accommodating.
Always a pleasure. Everything works for the visitors.
A must visit for all kids who are in to snakes and reptiles. It was informative, interactive and right on our doorstep in Edenvale. The tour is R30pp and is at least an hour long. This is also an active rescue and rehabilitation centre for snakes and other reptiles. The place is a bit of a mess but the work they are doing is great! They are open Mon - Sat and closed on Sundays.
An amazing place .... amazing people that run it .... awesome animals to seeYou might never see these species of animals and snakes anywhere else in the world
Very good experience and very good tour...
Snake great
It was a great learning experience just there enclosures are small and find it unfair
Good service. Good products. Lovely people.
Extremely well priced day trip for the kids. The most interactive reptile sanctuary I have ever been too. I have been there 3 times in as many weeks. One of the best aspects is that the majority of the Snake Guides are kids they relate so well to their peers. Keep up the amazing work there guys.
All good, exciting new cages being built during lockdown.
Warren our guide was really friendly and informative, the experience was very interesting, the feeling I left with is they take care of what they do, they are truly passionate. Theyd just come back from community work. An experience worthwhile and worthy of support
What a lovely experience Warren and Clive love their reptiles. The education thats given to visitors on how the identify snakes is excellent.
Such a wonderful experience they keep the reptiles healthy and clean there cage children are looked after a volentier took me around called Robert a new what he was doing and talking about, had fun thank you!!!
If youre looking for a thrill i advise you to visit snake city. They have a wide variety of snakes as well as some lizards. The staff is very friendly especially Warren who sold us our milk snake. There are not many places like these around so i advise you to pay them a visit and show some support.
I didnt go inside but from where i stood the place needs serious cleaning and attention
For a good cause! Pop in and support the reptiles.
This is a must if you have kids, no better place to learn about these amazing creatures than by going to Snake City. They have a large range of snakes and rely on the community going there to see them. They are a rescue centre as well.
Excellent education and entertainment for kids - and adults.
What a awesome tour today. Thank you to our Guide Warren. We can see you enjoy what you do. Good place to visit.
Very traumatising experience. We had to pay R25 each to enter and only made it half way through before deciding that it was too difficult to see the animals being treated with such disregard and inhumanity. We arrived while there was a childrens party underway which made the tour very chaotic as the children were running around in the confined spaces and were very out of control. We watched as the children turned a tortoise upside down and held it in the air swaying it around while another child was pulling a large snake backwards by its tail in order to pick it up. Terrariums were left unlocked, every single one - even the ones that held poisonous snakes in them. We witnessed children opening the terrariums without supervision and tugging at snakes to pull them out. We held a snake that in its nature is usually very active but in our hands it was limp and lifeless while another one seemed to be drooling or unable to keep its water in. I left snake city in an overwhelmed state and heartbroken at the way the animals are treated and the lack of authority with regards to the children handling the snakes.
The snakes were well cared for and guide was good
It was quite boring. Only two spider are alive, no lizard, meerkats and anacondas anymore. Warren left and got replaced. Interesting if youve never seen any cobras and stuff but besides that its quite disappointing. Used to help clean the cages but now its in no way interactive. The iguanas are also dead. Only one is alive. About 11 tanks are empty. Very sad to see what its come to
Its fun for a family day out
