We did a corporate Whisky tasting for around 30 people. Can I just say that it was a wonderful experience and the Whisky Rebellion were superb. Sean was fantastic and has a wealth of knowledge. Presentation and setup was so professional. Well Done and Thank you Sean! Would definitely recommend!

We did the Fight Night whisky tasting. Great service. They were very helpful throughout all the stages, from quoting to setting up and cleaning everything up afterwards. Would definitely recommend doing this for a team building or for a special occasion.

We arranged a small whisky tasting for my husbands nappy braai and used Sean from the whisky rebellion.We went with the Fight Night package as per Seans advice.All the guys that attended said that it was a very informative tasting and they learnt a lot about the world of whisky.The team was very professional and I would recommend their services.

My husband and I were gifted a whisky tasting with The Whisky Rebellion for our 30th Anniversary and what an incredible experience it was! Being a novice whisky drinker, I was a little intimidated at the idea, but Sean immediately put us at ease with his warmth and genuine enthusiasm for his business and the business of whisky! His expertise is second to none, and imparted in such a way that it is relatable, incredibly interesting and retainable! And I will never buy a bottle of whisky again without looking at the label carefully, to glean the oodles of info that is there to find, if you know what to look for. The whiskys were carefully selected to suit our pallets, and after the initial introductory taste, it was fascinating to discern the different flavours and nuances, once guided by Sean as to what to look out for. It was an amazing experience which we will never forget, and will definitely repeat. A fabulous way to experience whisky - get a group of friends over and The Whisky Rebellion will do the rest! Well worth it in every way. We have used Sean and Carl three times now at Grindrod Bank. They came highly recommended from one of our clients. Our first function was a Gin tasting & Cocktail evening for 100 clients, the second function a Whisky tasting & Cocktail evening for 100 clients and the third function a staff function for 60 people. On top of this Sean and Carl sourced us really cool Whisky and Gin gifts for our clients and organised the bar rental. Sean ran an awesome bespoke tasting for a crossover whisky club event which catered to all levels from those who had never been to a tasting before to those who really knew their whisky. I can honestly say that it was só well done: usually these tastings are stiff and uncomfortable but Sean made us laugh and even got most of us to ask questions of our own. It gives a stunning historical view on gin, and also allows uncultured people (such as myself) to really learn without needing any background knowledge whatsoever. Weve had two tastings with Sean and both have been brilliant. The first was a mixed gin and round the world whisky tasting and was phenomenal. The second was a rum tasting and made me rethink my pirate aspirations! The drinks are only a small part of the evening. Devin our designated whisky expert from Whisky Rebellion had to travel to the East Rand (actually so Far East, we should have done the Mystic Dragon - Oriental Whisky Tasting option).Without doubt, a really fun and extra memorable experience. The Team at Whiskey Rebellion were very professional, knowledgeable & friendly right from our 1st contact when planning the event.Devin took us through our Scottish Singles Whisky Tasting and passionately entertained our Bachelor party, while always keeping matters interactive & fun. He was more than happy to expand on multiple questions while deliberately maintaining a discussion that didn’t get too complex or involved to loose our novice attention spans and palates. As we learnt, the fine balance between the Art & Science of Whisky distilling, can get extremely complicated. However if ever required from a group, Devin could easily engage & discuss in-depth subtleties with industry experts.We on the other hand, just wanted to have fun & enjoy some Fine Whisky and were still getting to grips with the ABCs such as why there’s sometimes an E in Whisky and if adding ice to expensive whiskies is acceptable when visiting your boss for a braai.We will highly recommend their Team to anyone planning a similar tasting event, as the 5 out of 5 Rating from all of those who joined us for the tasting on the day, will attest to.CheersBrad
