I enjoyed an omelet, it was not expensive and way too much food for me to finish. This was now really a delicious dish and would recommend this for breakfast or a lunch!

This is a must go to restaurant. Every room on the way through is a delight to see, with a mix of indulgent and eclectic furnishings, scents and home decor pieces. The food is incredibly well done and fairly priced. Make a detour to Le Chameleon, you wont regret it.

A charming oasis with service staff honestly content. It shows in their attitude, food preparation and service. Besides food, their decor is eclectic and for sale. It is a trip well worth making for a group of girls celebrating life or a quietly elegant meal for a couple.

Some locals told us about this place as we were looking for interesting new places to visit...and Le Chameleon did not dissapoint!The front part of the building has jams, confectioneries and nd other food items for sale.The middle section has decor, boutique style toiletries ans accessories.The back part of the building is where the dining area is. Each room with its own interesting theme.The food was a bit pricey but amazing and the staff made you feel right at home.If you want an interesting experience, visit here on your drive through Humansdorp.

Sat in the wine room, was a very well decorated room, and establishment. Had the Picses Trio, the sweet chilli dip was divine, unfortunately not sold in the shop at the front. Food was plentiful and delicious. Wait staff also very pleasant.

Anyone traveling past Jeffreys Bay needs to visit this little gem. Stunning restaurant with quality food which is beautifully presented and great service to match. Enjoy browsing through their little shop which sells unique home decor, clothes, jewellery and homemade jams, fudge, rusks, etc. General decor is definitely part of the attraction - so much to see and soooo much attention to detail ... a feast for the eye! Have been back again and again.

Very relaxing old school venue with excellent farmstyle cooking. My lamb curry was good but my wifes oxtail stew was excellent. Also has lots of quirky clothing , old style kids teddy bears and bunnies , homemade jams, bakery products etc

Well most certainly the best kept secret in the area. I would have never guessed the charm and delightfull interiors from the road. From home made goodies and excellent gifts, ladies clothes and magnificent dining area the most important message I can leave is that if you do not make a reservation you may not get a seat for a while.

An absolute Gem in Humansdorp! A beautiful setting, the omelet and coffee were fantastic and wonderfully presented. They also have a very nice gift shop that I wish I had had more time to peruse.

This hidden gem in Humansdorp is worth the stop. Danya chutney and peach jam ate just some of the products that can be bought here. Lovely silk scarves and wrap dresses as well as home decor under one roof. Old world charm serves for a delightful atmosphere. Good food and cuppacinos will make you come back for more.

The small town of Humansdorp is a town through which you normally want to rush on your way to another coastal town. There is really nothing in the town.However there is one gem that you must visit…. and that is Le Chameleon. It is in the main road heading to Jeffreys Bay.The outside seems normal ... this is a deceiving illusion to put it mildly.Except that the food is great and the atmosphere in which you eat it is unique, the rest of this shop is even more unique.Do not expect to have a quick bite. Whether you sit outside in the tranquil garden or inside, you are about to have a journey. The shop is littered with interesting artefacts and things for sale. Unusual items that you dont find for sale any where is here. Take your time to browse.The entrance of the shop is a shop which has huge collection of foods, herbs and spices for sale. Some of the items are unobtainable in other shops. If you like home industry products, then this is the place to come.The staff are helpful and friendly and most of all patient.So forget about rushing through Humansdorp, the game has been changed. Just a huge pity that the outside is not smoke free.... so you will always get some nicotine addict who will sit inside, then come outside to spoil it for you. Sort out this out.

Breakfast I had, portion was a bit small, the salmon part was tiny & had no cream as described on the menu. It is a lovely venue though.

Only had budget for a burger. I was surprised. Well prepared, delicious sauce and even the bun is something. Perfect chips rounded it off. The cupa chino was perfect.

Love Le Chameleon and all the hidden treasures you can find there. The only reason for four stars is the prices of the items. A bit too expensive. But the food is great, especially the breakfast and I enjoy sitting in the garden outside if it is a nice day.

This is my favourite place to visit, gives one a feel good feeling just to be there, the staff are fantastic and the owner Helga is a reflection of her shop, gracious, beautiful and interesting. Wish is lived there but alas I live in Gauteng now, but everytime Im fortunate to be in JBay Le Chameleon is my must visit place place.

The classic atmosphere at Le Chameleon is a beautiful experience. The right music played at the right volume with the right lighting is masterfully managed by the gorgeous owner who is always around, keeping a gentle eye on things. Food is fresh, tasty, delicious and artfully served, in generous proportion. Alas no specific vegan options, but the salads are terrific. A lovely venue in an unexpected place - dont miss it!Very highly recommended.
