Dont book anywhere else, Newstead Farm is the gem of the Natal Midlands!I made a two day last minute booking at Newstead Farm as a stay-over on our way home. The incredible online ratings and competitive rates had me sold but our expectations were exceeded from the moment we arrived. Our hosts, Tracy and Simon were so welcoming and the accommodation was exceptional. All of our needs were met from the most comfortable beds (with electric blankets), a fireplace and heaters, to milk, coffee, rusks and complimentary nougat! The farm is just off the highway and easy to find, yet the location is secluded and quiet. It is on the Midlands Meander and a short drive to Nottingham Road, cheese farms and all the activities the Midlands has on offer.We were greeted by horses just off our patio in the mornings and the farm offered adventure for my daughter. I would have loved to have stayed longer and we will definitely be back.Thank you Tracy and Simon, we made memories that will last a lifetime and we look forward to visiting your beautiful farm again soon. You can expect visits from our family and friends too.

Friendly and inviting hosts. Well maintained and beautiful cottages with stunning view of the dam and horses. Definitely recommend it! Close to all amenities and tourist sites.

Amazing retreat in the stunning Midlands

Great place to chill out in the country. Just what we needed. Winnie welcomed us on arrival and proudly showed us around. Her service was impeccable and friendly. Anyone looking for a breakaway there is no doubt that this is the place to rejuvenate. Good for the soul.

Newstead Farm.What a place!When we got there the gate was opened for us quickly after we rang the bell. Following the driveway past horses and farmstyle lights we got to the main house where our room was.The reception was great. The host was waiting for us and told us where to park. Without delay she kindly let us to our room which was spacious and well lit. The smell of the farmstyle thatch roof filled the air. Immediately we felt comfortable and happy with our choice. Coffee was ready to be made, complete with a choice of fruit and rusks.Being from Durban we are not used to being cold. There was ample heating and during our sleep did not get cold at all.The morning was great with magnificent views and horses waving us off as we reached the exit gate.Will definitely be back there again.Thanks for the great stay.

Newstead farm self catering was amazing!! The lakeside cottage was beautiful, fully equipped with so many little thoughtful extras..coffee/tea/foil/mozzie stuff/lites to use in case power goes down/olive oil/magazines/games /rusks the list goes on. Bed and pillows super comfortable. Photos on web dont do it justice. Beautiful deep verandah with Weber braai and big couch and over looking dam. Stunning!will be back!!
