So went for the German baked goods and this did not disapppoint. Bee sting was rich and buttery with a generous amount of flaked almonds. Custard danish was good, pigs ears a bit too dry. Black forest cake was a huge slice of chocolate decadence. The place itself was extremely quaint and takes you back to decades ago. Seems like it needs some TLC and attention.

Quaint German pub and bistro off the beaten track. Chilled vibe. We will definitely be back for the The Hungarian Lamb Stew and Morrocan Chicken. A wonderful selection of freshly baked pastries and pies to gave with your coffee or take away. One of our most delightful finds on Nottingham Road.

Wed been wanting to find this place since we were in the area last year. Wish we hadnt bothered. The manager had to be hunted down to open up, and then his craft beer on tap was sour. All that way to drink an SAB beer. Disappointing. Maybe its better in season...

A gem in the middle of the Midlands. We came across it by pure chance after the proprietor had extracted our car out of the mud. We enjoyed an excellent meal and ice cools drinks, at a pub which must have many stories to tell and must have good memories for all who visit it! Thank you!

Great food

As the ominous dark clouds gathered outside we stepped into the pub and shared a drink on the couch with three sleepy dogs....could have stayed longer but adventures were beckoning.

Sadly lockdown has caused damage to many places incomes and upkeep is expensive. People are friendly and hanging on though
