Nice place. Seems to be popular amongst the locals. My T-bone was unfortunately on the Medium side of Medium-rare, something that is unfortunately common when steaks are cut too thin.

Had a lovely time, staff was friendly and helpful. Never felt like I was waiting for anything. Beautiful atmosphere.

An excellent spot to have a cold beer and a bite to eat when in Hoesdpruit. Sleepers has got a pretty unique vibe as a working station with trains passing through. The food was very good and while service wasnt blindingly fast, it was ok. All in all a nice place to chill and have a good meal at a reasonable price.

Owner (Craig) is on the floor the whole time making sure customers are happy, staff is happy. Food is very good. Staff is quick and knows the menu. Well done guys and keep it up.

We live in the area so this his is our go to restaurant for a great Puffing Billy Breakfast it is the best of all the restaurants in town for value for money. All the food is good and we love the pizzas. Some times the service is a bit slow not sure what may be a bit more training for both kitchen and front of house is needed. We still wouldnt stop going. 😋🍕🌭

As Hoedspriuts old railway station, the historical setting is lovely, with lots of local memorabilia to view. The food is always great with a lot to choose from. However as a non-smoker the outside seating is limited to a small corner at the entrance which is sad. Best part is when the cargo trains come chugging past a mere 2m from the back of the restaurant. Quiet an experience!

The food was ok. Beautiful view. Took a while to get our order. Theres also mosquitoes when you seated outside..however the waiters did offer us peaceful sleep for us while we waited.

Sleepers is a well known restaurant set in an old railway station building. It includes a small yet delightful pub, it has jungle gym and play area for children and families. The specials are focused on a variety of steaks, hamburgers and fish dishes. Plus pizza and pasta. An excellent variation. The steaks are of a really high standard. Super tasty and well presented. The service is provided by a confident and friendly team of waiters.

My pizza was dry and tastless with very little topping. Very dissappointing indeed. Looks like a lovely place. I might have chosen the wrong dish to order

A must try. The food here is amazing. Great service and free WiFi. We tried a pizza and a breakfast item that included scrambled eggs and cheese atop corn bread. It was phenomenal and right across from shopping. A good place to spend time before heading the the airport.

The restaurant staff are friendly.There is a restaurant and a separate bar area. The food is delicious and good value. The milkshakes are particularly nice. The rumour has it that if you are standing at the bar when the train passes by. You will get a gelly shot... I wasnt lucky enough.It has a big car park. Which is brilliant.

Dont go over there if youre in a hurry, very slow service. Drinks took 25mim.Eisban Pizza is not worth a try. DONT.

We ordered peri peri full chicken, it didnt taste as peri peri, had no salt, and smelled like it was rotten. We could not finish the chicken.Ordered vanilla ice-cream with waffle as listed on the menu, however a waffle was not served, the waitress did not even check with us to say waffles were finished and if we could continue with the order, she just served the ice-cream, we even paid a full price for that.The only nice portion served were the ribs, that we enjoyed.

I ordered a plate of chips, and specifically asked the lady to put chips spice on. When the chips came, it was bland and totally unimaginative. Why do restaurants still serve chips without chips spice or at least Cajun spice? Surely all restaurants have some kind of spice used for other foods to spice up the chips?

This is the old station building converted into a restaurant. Great vibe, with the occasional train passing by. Great seating outside under the trees, and good food. I had the grilled peri-peri half chicken and roast vegetables. very tasty. I am glad to see the staff were Covid-aware, cleaning the tables after each guest, and wearing masks (mostly over their noses).

We actually stopped here to find a geocache and ended up buying two take away hamburgers. Wow they were absolutely delicious. Big, juicy, full of tasty ingredients and flavours. I had the cajan chicken, my husband the Beef and bacon.

Disappointed. Came today for a light bit of lunch and a drink. Had the duck spring roll starter - just awful and salty on top of it. And when i asked for more plum sauce that was not possible (still being cooked). Creme Brulee must have taken 40 minutes to arrive - it was forgotten about. Service not good.

Food quality has deteriorated. Prices have increased, but portions are smaller. I refer specifically to the burgers here. Their burgers used to be huge with large patties. Now they barely half fill the bread roll. The plate is piled up with greasy onion rings to give one the impression that they are getting what they are paying for. We have stopped there for lunch on our way to the game farm for years. Dont know whats gone wrong ... but we wont be stopping there again. This is only my opinion.

Probably the best liver and onions I have EVER eaten. Cooked deliciously pink as requested and with a lovely topping of crispy onions. Chicken was also good, if a little dry, but remedied with a good gravy. Barristers need some training but that can be remedied. All in all a good evening out with simple, unpretentious but beautifully cooked food.

You have to try their peanutbutter milkshake! It is awesome. A d you cant go wrong with their pizzas either. Great vibe, very relax.

Always love this place, I have never had bad food or bad service there. Staff are friendly, food is excellent, and it makes you feel at home. Every time I am in hoedspruit i try and frequent it as much as possible.

I LOVE Sleepers. I volunteer at a place nearby so we spend many Saturday afternoons here. The veggie burger (which is also vegan) is probably the best thing in town. Service isnt always the quickest, but the food and general atmosphere make up for that!

My first choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Always friendly service. Opens a little late in the mornings for breakfast and take a little long for food to be served but except from that highly recommended.

I always like going to sleepers, definitely one of my favorite places to go. Their pizza is great, arguably the best in town. Really nice setting, being an old train station and seating outside is awesome under those big trees!

A fun place to go with consistently good food. A big plus for me was that it is pet friendly (provided they are on a leash). Oh, and if you are in the bar when a train goes by then you get a free shooter.
